Surf casting? That's a great day. I've caught a few Blue Fish in the LI Sound that way. Never more than two per trip though.

Bluefish are awesome!, topwater off the jetty!

Fishing off a jetty! That sure brings back nice memories.

Bluefish put up a good fight. Never did acquire a taste for them unfortunately no matter how I cooked them.

Used to go for Stiped Bass all up and down the Sound. But when they were running so were the Blues, chasing the Stipers. You couldn't help but get a blue too. Blues are oily and have a strong taste.

1970, white horse beach on the cape, a favorite spot, my dad has a GIANT blue rebel on his line and is casting in the surf. I am totally embarrased cuz of the sheer size of that lure, it looked like a joke. Well, you can guess what happens, I look over, he's hooked up, I look into the surf and here is a 48" striper completely illuminated running down the surf IN the wave, backlit by the rising sun. My dad never embarrassed me again....49 LBS!

A dozen clams would just piss me off and wonder where the other 6dozen are stuffed or not:)

Just some random thoughts; when I started on this forum the first thought that came to my mind was: why don't my plants look like those...LOL. My mind was far from the task at hand, I mean it really was. I thought I knew what I wanted to do.......I wanted a big fat sack of nugs like bro makes. I had the education, and I wondered what did I forget that's standing between me, my plants, and my goals? Ater an amount of time, I began to remember, and remember, and I am still remembering. Every hour of study reenforced my base of knowlege, and when i got, and get off track, I have all these wonderful, knowledgable folks to nudge my thoughts back in order. This sport is completely accomplished in the mind, the hands simply obey, and carry out what the mind has ordered. I try sometimes, but will never be able to completely express my gratitude for the evolution that I, then my work, has undergone. I am soooo honored to have been nominated for motm, if I was to win the contest I would be elated!, but as far as being a winner, I've achieved that in my heart already. I have never won anything in my life, like awards and things as such. I've always spoken my mind, and let the chips fall where they may, sometimes to my detriment, however this is how I was raised, by honorable people, who would rather hear the truth than have their ears tickled. I beleive this is one reason I have experienced a certain degree of success, oh, I'm not there yet, but I have certainly found a place full of people who want to see me succeed, and have aabsolutely nothing to gain by doing so. This to me is the indication of the true love shared between like minded people, and I cherish my relationships with all.....Thank- you....PEACE

your getting all mushie on me Mc:) but I have to say Ditto:)

We used to go down near woods hole and wait for the tiny boats to come in, dad would buy whatever they had, and mostly everything they had......you know, from like one guy or boat. Mom and dad weren't wealthy by any means, but us kids never knew the difference.
