68 or 69....I lived on cape cod...dad was in the af, and mom did top secrect work for the govt.. Dad used to take me out of school to go fishing, one day, at the very tip of the cape, white horse beach maybe?, I caught 14 cod between 10 and 30 pounds...unassisted by my dad, he hauled a load of fish to the car and I had 14 more when he got back! Those WERE the days my friend! No fishy, you are correct, we were there in 69- 71, we stayed anywhere for 2 years at a time, then move again, I've been to every state except hawaii ( probly cuz I never knew it was in dakoter)and florida.

Surf casting? That's a great day. I've caught a few Blue Fish in the LI Sound that way. Never more than two per trip though.
Bluefish are awesome!, topwater off the jetty!
Fishing off a jetty! That sure brings back nice memories.
Bluefish put up a good fight. Never did acquire a taste for them unfortunately no matter how I cooked them.
Their kinda oily if I remember, we used to fish for em next to the kennedy compound. They fight like crazy...we used to get em on blue creek chubs...LOL
the rascals. got that 45Cruisssssin......on a sunday afternooooooon.......old memories.......you jump started a small portion of the portion that's left of my single eroded brain cell........Fishy!
Mary Hopkin. Who knew?
Used to go for Stiped Bass all up and down the Sound. But when they were running so were the Blues, chasing the Stipers. You couldn't help but get a blue too. Blues are oily and have a strong taste.

A dozen clams would just piss me off and wonder where the other 6dozen are stuffed or not
