I would bet most growers do it, we just love our ladies enough to admit it!!! haha
Anyways, thanks for the encouragement, it has been beautiful in Colorado the past couple of days my friend and I hope you are taking advantage of it as much as I am! Went longboarding today for about 4 hours, it was great!

- Another.... QUICK BUD UPDATE -
Hey everyone! just checking in with a side shot if the warlock that I wanted to share. all of her tallest branches look exactly like this... all small little trees. It makes me so happy looking at them from the side!!! This one (like her 15 tallest tops) is 10 inches tall.

Temperature and Humidity in the Veg Room.
Still no roots on any of the clones, they get misted with plain Denver Tap Water daily, and the RockWool cubes are drenched every few days with new Denver Tap / Rhizotonic / Super-Thrive mixture.
Thanks everyone for following along, I am going to start setting up my tripod in the same place every Sunday for the next 4 weeks and take a picture of the bud formation. It should be fun.

Thanks a lot Trig! Yeah (so far) I definitely approve of the Mars II I am using... I had only heard good things about them and considering the price it was a very good choice for me. Although not an easy one as it came with weeks of decision making haha.
Regardless, I am super happy with the Trichome production on my ladies, and the buds are starting to really fatten up on Alien Dawg as well as Berry Garcia... However Warlock is still pretty thin, I am hoping her buds will swell and those long tree top branches above the net will turn into huge colas. We will see.

On February 7 (the update with one photo of each lady) was day 28. I am a little worried about the Warlock as her buds aren't nearly as large as the other two girls, however she has double the amount of tops that Berry Garcia has and far more than the Alien Dawg has... She also stretched for a solid week to week and a half longer so I dunno if I should be worried or not. I was reading around and some reviews said she can be a 9 week finisher so I will just keep my hopes up.
Her pre flowers have turned into rather large buds so I am hoping the same will happen elsewhere.

OK firstly in my opinion your warlock is going to fill in! Any plant training where you push a plant to produce more tops, means that this plant will take longer to flower out.
Just looking at the development says to me you will be going past your finish by a bit lol.
Anyway as for backbuilding Your warlock could be done, but I'd give it a week then go with that one. The others seem good to go!
I gave up listening to finish times ages ago, your plant will speak to you. All you have to do is listen

Thank you so much for your input and the easing of my mind Light Addict! I was worried she would not produce but after looking at the factors you mention it makes sense she might take longer. I will start listening to her and not my worrisome mind
I will definitely be back-building (at least some) of her tops... I will just sit back and give her food and watch her grow! She sure is drinking A LOT, she take wate about ever two days now. I give nutrients at 50-75% strength depending on how I feel every other watering. Her pistols are extremely long and her bud sites are really close so it makes sense that her colas will be big

I believe Light Addicts guide states to do it half way through flowering or just after half way... However as he mentioned in an earlier post in this journal, if you push a plant to have a ton of tops it wouldn't normally have, it will take longer to flower out.. So my guess is experience is the best teacher in this situation!
I would imagine that it's best to do it as the buds start to swell, so the swell out and not up, to stay dense and compact.. Just my best guess though!
You should definitely go check out his guide to Bud Back Building! There is a link in his signature, and the guide explains everything about it super well! I'll be giving it another look today

I tried back building on one of my colas this round. The bud is a little fatter than the one beside it that i was comparing but the one i didn't do back building on grew a lot taller and looks to be more bud. I have seen results from it so i don't know why mine didn't show better results! Next grow I will probably do the same to one cola and do another test. Still not convinced yet! =)

I think I am going to do the same thing on my Warlock and see what happens. I have a lot of Cola's that are very similar in size so I will back build about 7 and leave the others alone and compare all of their weights once harvested. I have seen a lot of mixed results on backbuilding, however Light Addicts journal has had a lot positive results so it is definitely worth a try. I can't wait to see what happens!

- UPDATE :: FLOWER DAY 34 -
Hey 420mag friends!
So I have a fun update for all of you following along! So we are in week 5 of Flowering now and things are going pretty well! I am very impressed with the resin production on these ladies, as I have been since they started showing frost. Waitin' for the Warlock to start gaining weight, she is lookin' a little skimpy for my liking! She is definitely getting larger, just not nearly as fast as the other two are.
GENERAL UPDATES ::
The ladies are being fed nutrients every other watering, and they are getting watered about every 2 days. Week five calls for 1gal Denver Tap / 15ml FF Big Bloom / 5ml FF Grow Big / 10ml FF Tiger Bloom / .25tbsp FF Cha Ching / 3ml Cal-Mag Plus / 5ml Molasses.

- WARLOCK CLONES :: DAY 13 -
Hey everyone! Second part of the update coming through, here we are on day 13 of the Clones life. They had pretty large clumps of root balls on day 10, so I am hoping that they have begun to grow outwards. Should be seein' roots within a week!
I have just been keeping all of the RockWool cubes soaked up until a couple days ago and now I let the cubes absorb the water from the tray so the roots will stretch. I mix Rhizotonic into the water at 15ml / 1gal Denver Tap.
