MassMedMan's Spring Fling - Indoor/Outdoor - Organic - Medical - 6 Autos

This text is 50% good research and 50% misfire. It states a lot of things to be facts while they're not and downplays impact of chemical fertilizers. It's also full of technical mistakes as the claim that ammonia has to be changed to nitrates in order to be absorbed by the root. In fact plants absorb both forms of nitrogen, but too much ammonia will inhibit uptake of other nutrients.

Thx for the invitation MMM! I'm in. You already have a pretty stellar crew here, but I'm happy to pitch in when/where I can.

Re your PM: I wear the scroll, not the tab. R u a vet also?
I went to school in Amherst, MA and still love to visit the Happy Valley when I can. U know the area?
OK, time for what I'm sure will be a fascinating read-back.

Hey Ranger thanks for coming by. I really enjoy your thread and posts and I'm sure you'll offer some advice which will benefit me. And by extension many others. Yes, I served in the nineties, did eight on active. I was in the Corps, but was able to have some fun with your black hats at ft benning. Earned my jump wings in Dec of 95. I was offered a shot at Ranger school when I told them I was getting out,, they called it an incentive. Lol. It didn't work and I got out. Haven't looked back but I miss my boys and the excitement,,, of course as you know the excitement is in between a lot of BS.

Yes, I'm familiar with the Amherst area, lots of bars ;)

Happy to have you bro, thanks for your service.

Thx DP,

I'll be starting a GG thread soon. Ladies are all planted, but the writing/posting is a little behind. Focus will be on urban GG, so it may be a new flavor for you. Hope to see you there.

By the way, I really appreciate your uncommon perspective. While I happily confess to having a broad swath of hippy running through me, I come from a farming/gardening background where pragmatism reigns. You provide a much-needed balance.
Respect

Subbed. Looks like it will be a really interesting journal. Diversity is one of the spices of life. Well done!

Yes, for the most part. Some autos do run pretty long compared to others. But generally speaking, you're correct.

Thanks Sorenna, nice to have you! I'm just waiting for my girls to arrive at the party. Everyone else is here,, of course they are fashionably late.

Their prerogative. :P

OK quick question here. Autos? If I'm not mistaken that means the seeds are engineered to flower sooner and the flower cycle is shorter as well? Am I right?

Autos are engineered to flower irrespective of how much light they are getting . The average Auto starts showing pistils from day 14 - 28 and will then usually finish at between day 70 and 90.

Their prerogative. :P

It sure is. But, I'm not lying that I'm wondering what is going on. I did look at my hand written notes from my last indoor and it took six days to see them. So, today being day five I'm not past that. But, I also had a few that popped in two days. So,,,, I'm nervous I won't lie. I have more seeds, but I hate to waste any, or heaven forbid ruin them.
Just keep telling myself to be patient.....easier said than done.

I totally understand. Id be wondering a bit too. I hope they show up soon for ya. Im sure you are anxious to get started and thats hard to do when the stars refused to come out of the dressing room.

Well, I killed those beans. I was pretty sure I was in trouble when I came home from work the other day and saw brown on the perlite. Felt the pad, which I covered with towels (bad move) and the bottom line is I think the heat mat, and lamp -- got way too hot. Anyway, I started digging at one yesterday and confirmed my suspicions. Long story short I had six new beans in the smart pots by 4pm yesterday.

Going right in the can this time. Fifty dollar lesson I will never forget.

That's the bad news and an expensive lesson. Today, the mailman just came. And thanks to Dutty Panty,, (and house and garden!!) I'm going to put some House and Garden to the test!!

This run I'll test with one plant, a THC bomb auto My next run and co journal with Dutty I'll really have a much better understanding of LOS and so called bottled nutes, what the growth differential is, how much yield, and finally which tastes better.

Alright 3M welcome to the big leagues this summer we will play ball. You will be hitting triples instead of getting on base by a walk. Just my opinion

Thanks house and garden for hooking my good friend up. great customer service big props to Alan over there. And to Humboldt wholesale as well.

This is the only thread with Los and organic involved that I'm subscribed to. And I won't be unsubscribing no matter how much I get hated on.

GO 3M

Too bad about the beans, MMM, it happens. Lets hope that these new girls pop for you.:goodluck:

When Dutty mentioned in another thread about Home and Garden I started reading through the web site, really interesting stuff. Maybe this summer when I get a tent and new light set up I will have to try to get one of those sample starter packs. Maybe do a comparison like MMM is going to start. Really interested to see how this goes.
