Too bad about the beans, MMM, it happens. Lets hope that these new girls pop for you.:goodluck:

When Dutty mentioned in another thread about Home and Garden I started reading through the web site, really interesting stuff. Maybe this summer when I get a tent and new light set up I will have to try to get one of those sample starter packs. Maybe do a comparison like MMM is going to start. Really interested to see how this goes.

You wouldn't look back buds4all. Any reputable grow shop should help you switch over

I've done a ton of research on the House and Garden line and it's all very positive. There are a few shots taken here and there, I expect that. In fact most of the shots I suspect were from people who have never actually used it, but, the internet gives everyone an anonymous voice, some choose to use it in a irresponsible manner.

But, the stuff is dialed in from what I'm reading. And of course seeing the results here by somebody I really respect says much more. I couldn't be happier! And eager, very eager to get going. :thanks:

Hey Dutty, can I borrow your duffel bag for a few days? :lot-o-toke: OK, maybe a few weeks.

Sure. I got a few more to fill

Hey thanks. Yeah missed the deadline for that cup on 4/19. Plus none of my heavy hitters were ready. Hate to enter a mid shelf product just to enter

Chocolate fondue
Dutch treat
White lightning
Jillybean

Have all earned spots. Still deciding on the next two.

I had a little speed bump with my first beans, but soon I'll but taking one that's ready and training it based on what you're doing in your auto thread, Light Addict. So, please come by often and check it out ;)

Well, I killed those beans. I was pretty sure I was in trouble when I came home from work the other day and saw brown on the perlite. Felt the pad, which I covered with towels (bad move) and the bottom line is I think the heat mat, and lamp -- got way too hot. Anyway, I started digging at one yesterday and confirmed my suspicions. Long story short I had six new beans in the smart pots by 4pm yesterday.

Going right in the can this time. Fifty dollar lesson I will never forget.

That's the bad news and an expensive lesson. Today, the mailman just came. And thanks to Dutty Panty,, (and house and garden!!) I'm going to put some House and Garden to the test!!

This run I'll test with one plant, a THC bomb auto My next run and co journal with Dutty I'll really have a much better understanding of LOS and so called bottled nutes, what the growth differential is, how much yield, and finally which tastes better.

Last spring I purchased a heating pad for seedling trays at the local hydro store. I tried them to start cannabis and other warmth loving seeds.
In every seed type I tried, warm pad vs no pad, no pad had higher germination rates.
Check with others, but until I hear better, I won't start another cannabis seed, in soil, with a warming pad.

Hey my man. Shit, I'm sorry to hear about the loss. That's a shot to the ego every time! I know it all too well...

You know what I'm gonna say next though right?

Email back the seed provider and ask for replacement seeds. I know I know it was your fault for the heat bad.... What ever, those seed providers are pretty understanding folks. And if you emailed them and said "hey there, I recently ordered seeds and none of them germinated, may I have a replacement?" And I betcha they do it anyways!! Cause you know they did it for me! And I, it was me, that killed my seeds because of my own ignorance. And yet they still replaced them.

Give it a shot. Worst they say is no, right?

Just lookin out for my main man, good luck! ;)

I may do that MrP but they are in business to make money and I'd rather see them help guys who need it, they were viable, I know what happened without going into the boring details of all.

Besides, if I had an ego about six seeds I wouldn't have posted for the world to know. ;) did I tell you my son whipped out his wanker and pissed in the woods today, I get excited about that. ;)

And I'm a guy who's been down, down low,, but I always end up on top. :) I like starting in the hole. ;)

Just gotta take the lessons, I was once told by someone I knew, that with pain comes improvement. My wallet feels the pain only.

Nothing to report, just getting organized, big things are coming. I didn't start my last grow with 99% of this:

Too funny.

In rapid rooters or any seedling tray with a holding tray below for excess water it does help.

Soil no idea not a huge fan always of that approach

Heating pad worked fine with seed starting in rockwoll... thanks for reminding me.

My wife likes starting in water jars and watching for seed "tails", so lately we've been starting SPROUTED seeds in soil.
It's technically my wife's flowering room since its her medical card, so she sprouts seeds and I officially "help out" with the rest of the grow as needed.
