Mars Hydro SP 3000: Just Released! SP 250 & TSL 2000 Comparison Grow

Hey buddy. Cheers mate , did knock me back a little but partially my errors too so can't be too bent about it now. Did seem that Dr Death had his sights set but managed to get at least 1 each of the sweet seeds strains too so at least I will get to try them. Odd ladies those black ghost. Last one grew all freaky too. The newer growth is looking fairly normal now thankfully.
Its my lowest plant count too so will be a change to be seeing gaps to head into rather than fighting for positions. Room looks so sparse. Lol
Been given my orders on the ice hash too now. New fridge in situ ,old fridge is messing Mrs GG's "tidy house" agenda so has to go !!!. No choice now , got to use the stock up or lose it. Watch this space. Good to see you mate.
They’ll fill the space mate. I’ve gone from six to four plants in flower and I find it much easier and no difference in final yield, if anything slightly better. Can’t wait to see your hash run. I’ve got a whole Crumbled Lime plant on ice ready to go but just haven’t had the time to sort it.

I am thinking they will do good for it too , thanks for confirming that one for me too. Just need a little more veg maybe ?.
I did the 1st run today of rhe hash but the yield doesn't look too much for the heap i had to throw in. Mrs GG needs it gone so I did put way too much in for a good rinse out and got a lot of plant matter clumped . I have saved this trim in a bucket and a whole 25m bag then filled it with the run off water again. I only managed to do about a quarter of the supply as the kids had decimated the ice I bought over the hot period , bastards !!!. Lol only had 4 bags so 1 run only . Wilm hopefully get som in the water tomorrow as it settles too. Here's some shots @Lewydeville. Not on par with your bounty but only used 3 bags for speed. Looks nice though. Cheers buddy.

Update Day 6: evening Growmies. I hope all is well in your farms and homes.
We have some good growth going off in the farm the last couple of days. Mainly within the los pots as the NFT are only just gettingntheir roots into the matting. They have started to get a nicer "megacrop" green going in the leaves now so only a matter of a few more days before they get into gear and start upward.
The fimmed FFT#10 has gone really well with a very nice , confused looking , multi headed 5th node. I have teased the other nodes a little into their future position without too much stressing them at this stage. I did similar with the Amnesia Haze to and also fimmed the small FFT#9 now too. I have them all 6.5L of Bio-sys tea which they lapped up just before sleep time.
Both lights are giving a very nice cover to the spacw at 6ftx6ft so would have easily covered the 12 planned. Let's hope the next few days are a foundation for some excitement soon, I am losing you all. Lol

Until next time folks. Be healthy

Very nice looking hash GG. You always get a better return washing smaller amounts but it’s hard when you’ve got a shed load of trim and limit time. It’s surprising how much ice you need as well, I’ve had some dodgy looks buying 15 bags of ice at the supermarket before.

I live in a market town that had ceremonies for a Heron foods opening here. I had to get the 4 bags, 2 at a time as I cleared their stock !!! . Checkout woman looked at me like I wanted adrenochrome when I asked if they had any more. Heehee
It is nice and malleable but needs something , has a harsh kick and horrible to roll with but is oily. Hits the spot on the buzz for sure. I have always used it as is when i have made it before. Is there something I am missing in the process here ?. I usually leave it to dry slowly until I run short of bud which helps the harsh kick lessen but always been my 1 negative of my own hash.
I used way too much trim so have saved that batch for a second run at some point and the water i left it in overnight will get drained through the 25m bag to catch any more leftovers. Have about 3 more runs at least in the stores. Should be fun trying to het the ice alone. Lol
Thanks lewy.

Another few shots of it from today while we wait for some plant action. Certainly hitting my frontal lobes !!!!.
Bit wobbly here. Lol

cool, how do they smell?
The hash smells very hashy , sadly not difinitive enough as so many different strains trim were used. I also strained the water that I had left the trim in overnights to settle andngot about another 20g of sandy coloured hash. All freeze drying now in the freezer with boxed packs and cardboard boxes ssales with food wrap to keep moisture out. Hoping it will help dry and cure it more. Planning to get through the remainder of the teim over next few days too. Should have a nice harvest of primo hash. The ladies in the middle in soil are beginning to give off a slight lemony weed smell on the stem and the Amnesia is actually feeling tacky too. Update immanent.....
Thanks Sara. :green_heart: :Namaste:

Day 8 : All going well still and the l.o.s seem to have had a spurt of growth. The Amnesia has a lot of very good growth points along the 4 stems forming. I will be selecting the best to keep on as they go outward but I don't plan on stunting their height too much this grow as I want to explore a slightly taller training in the center as I have the height and the support of the 2 sp lights to keep the lowers in light during flowering with their overspills. The Tsl2000 is more than capable to handle the 3 l.o.s but lower penetrative light is hard to achieve with a single light so this could be a great combination. If I am right then the sp3000 would be the center on my next run that I do. As this is about comparing the sp series , I will have to imagine how great. Lol
I supercropped the Amnesia and also the FFT#10 and decismded to use the stem crushing and bend method to flop this thickening stems over. They always look such a state after but when those big knuckles appear at the crush points it is worth it. I did manage to snap 2 of the new emerging tips on the FFT10 but the wonders of silver tape should save the day. It is next to the fimmed heads so not a huge loss if they don't make it.

The NFT tanks are steadily getting their feed setrling. I did add some ph down as I tested it and had approx 7.2ph . Explains the yellowing on 2 of them. The Red hot doesn't look too happy yet but a few more days should hopefully sort her out. They are a long way behind the L.o.s pots in development byt this is not the lights but more a rooting issue I get with rockwool cubes. They should catch up as soon as they get into the matting so this doesn't concern me yet.

So there we have it today. I will be keeping a close eye on the yellowing now and will update again in a few days. Be safe Growmies.

DAY 9: WOW IT IS HOT TODAY !!!.
34.4°c just now in the room. It is approaching midday here and we have 4 days of heat coming. Thankfully I chose to run the lights at night to try to combat some summer heat and they go off at 12.00 .
I have had to turn the sp3000 power down to 75% now as I think it was way too intense even at the height of 22inches. This is a powerful light folks , don't be fooled by previous sp250 use as I have done. Lol. I also moved the sp250 up a little as there does seem to be signs of possible light bleaching and not thd pH issue i thought. Lets see how they respond.
The L.O.S girls had 10L of water each too as there is the hot spells to cope with.
The overspill light from the sp's is working wonders on these ladies. Even on the fringes they are giving more than enough good lighting to have these looking so healthy and green.
After just one day they have bounced back from the major stem crushing session. Soon be time to strap these down to the edges. I am seriously impressed with the living soil and now feel it is a clear leader in plant starts. Even coco doesn't thrive so quickly. The nft are lagging badly but the light intensity and heat arw factors so I won't be panicking yet. I also have some RQS El Patron on route so might even get to throw a couple into my own supersoil to join the party. They would be smaller due to veg time but a quick veg to match flowering time start might come good .
Be safe and well Growmies.

What happened to those little girls?
Suspect heat and light so have turned power down now.
Cubes starts are a poor beginning for me. Much prefer to use coco or soil. Theybwill get their jiggy on soon enough . Just a shock for them.to go into the NFT too.

If the light is too strong, you can use the dimming function of the SP3000

Lol I have . Did put it in the update too . Moved to 75% power. Will see how they have done later at lights on time 6pm. I forget how strong your lights really are. Oops....

Hey GG. Good to see you back at it and getting it done. You seem to be winning the battle.
That biscuit of hash looked delicious!
No chance your old fridge could fit upstairs for the low and slow dries?
Were you happy with FGS in the end?

it would kill my back to even get it up stairs never mind the loft.lol, soon be getting the rest done now though it is curing in the freezer now and i am trying to leave it at least 2 weeks. smells nice when i air it. cant wait to try it. I am still enjoying the fgs but reluctant to use it as it will end.lol
i still switch between them all each time my mini stash bag empties. loving it.
killing me to get this one up and at it but i have some El Patron on route from Royal queen so might be able to pop a couple for the run too. fingers crossed. been so busy here with Mrs GG on a decorating tip !!!. halfway through now but she set her sights on the garden now.heehee.hope your good brother?.

Hi Growmies. Here we are a few days down the line on Day 12. The yellowing has not worsened which is a bonus but they will need some recovery time i think. I used some additional Megacrop(3g) today in case the issue is feed related , i also added a little more calmag to each tank (15ml). i added a few drops of superthrive also to give them a tonic boost. Heat could well be playing a part as it is hot here at the moment. lets hope they can recover quickly now as it is playing havoc with my credentials as a grower.lol Thankfully the saving grace are the 3 LOS girls. they have been going crazy with growth and the Amnesia is full of potential mains well established. FFT10 has now had her first real lst session. she is behind the other two but very healthy and vigorous looking so will be a good producer. FFT9 is showing some serious development too and wont be slacking on the yield front. They are doing really well with the overspill lighting from the sp lights and i think i will be good to wait till flowering to do a 3 way comparison better.
They had 7.5 L each of water today and lapped it up very quickly. i think i have a cycle starting to happen now.
If the El Patron arrive soon i will pop 2 of these into the mix as well. i really fancy trying these .
The power on the sp3000 was lowered to 50% to allow them to recover without too much intensity on them.
be well folks

Hey G

I have some accidental knuckles where my mans rough hands snapped branches on two of my girls bringing then in from the sun (hell hath no fury like a woman who has had her plants hurt) and I strapped them like you would a human greenstick fracture.

Thankfully they healed, but my question, why would you deliberately do that?
