Mars Hydro SP 3000: Just Released! SP 250 & TSL 2000 Comparison Grow

Ah, so that’s how you do it.
You’re good with your hands.
Explains a lot.
About making hash. Sheesh.
Of i was any good with my hands I would not have so many bloody kids mate !!!. Heehee
Doesn't give me any stripey zebra joints like your beautiful presses though . It does tend to push a lot of oil in front of the heat as the paper burns down though. Bubbles and pops a little sometimes. This is why i want to try and cure it this time round.
Thanks D.

Evening Growmies. It does look as though a recovery is happening now with the girls in tank 2 actually growing a little more in height today. Red hot cookies is still very yellow from.previous issues but some growth is good sign.
Tank 1 is not so happy yet but has definitely improved a little. Time is needed now for the. To re root into the mix again. I am still waiting g on the El Patein to all rack open with 2 having a split casing now and one needing a little crack to hopefully get it moving. I will check them in the am now to see if I can get them into the medium. The Los are continuing to go mental with growth amd have created perfect half balls with the supercropping. I will be defoliating soon to get some of there size into useful perspective. I mentioned it previously but I am stoked at how well the los are doing with juat overspill lighting from the sp's. . I might need to keepnthe tsl2000 off until after the stretch oeriod at this rate. Lol
Temps are at 31°c !! but hopefully will cool now the night has arrived i do think this is not helping with the recovery efforts either. Be safe and well folks.

Numbers on the Hash run to date are not too shabby. Just under 1.5 Oz of nice quality hash from around 5-6 oz of trim. I like that number from waste. The teabag soak works fairly well if you can't fit a second run in. I was surprised by 6g from this too. There are differences between the different parties and the ball is so oily to handle too. Pkan is to work it all into 1 block once the drying is done on the last runs bits

I will do a smoke report once its done.

Phew it has been hot in the UK. Temos have been around 30°c and the girls have definitely felt it. I have kept them going in silly heat for us here and in honesty they have done well to make it with their previous issues. The slow recovery ,while frustrating, is a better option than total loss at this point. The pause in qhroqthbis not quite static and they are gaining slightly but the rate is very slow and not helped by less chlorophyll in their leaves. Catch 22 feels appropriate. Tank 1 is less responsive than the other but the cubes took big hits and needed some pulling out so the roots were back close to the stem. Tank 2 has better signs and growth now but again heat is an issue at present.
The Los girls are not phased at all by the heat it seems and don't want to hang around in stasis. All three had a good watering of 8L and lapped it up. I also top dressed them all with 60ml of ecothrive charge and 20ml life-cycle to keep that health flowing. Thankfully we are now going back towards normal weather and temos so they can have so e relief from the heat.
The El Patron are still sat in damp tissue and have only cracked 2 so far but have stalled out it seems.!! 1 hasn't done a thing beside change colour slightly. Not impressed with them so far andnthebsame issue i had previously with RQS germinations.?. I have to keep the faith and hope but the window for their chances to come good are narrowing rapidly.

So there we have folks. A disappointing start to say the least but it will work out, I won't allow it not !.

Hopefully they will recover soon:cheer:
Can control most things except outside temps sadly. Would have to be when trying show the new light off too. Infuriating start. Thankfully by the condition and vitality of the soil pots in the middle, it clearly shows the light is working magic just from the edges that are covering them with light. I think we are over the heatwave now so might get some normal temps to work with. It has become an issue for UK growers in the past few years as our climate has got way warmer here. Seems a whole industry has spawned from making products to combat it too. Slows us right down until the heat drops again. Last year I got away with it as I was in coco.

Hey grandad, I somehow missed your invite, but found you and will be catching up on how this new light is working out for you :thumb:
Welcome aboard Celt . Glad you made it. I jabs jad a few dramas with heat issues killing all my 1st batch of seedlings so a quick gather up of mire tribute happened and that has also been digged with issues. Thankfully bone light related and the lights between them are powering some soil pots indirectly a d tbeybare goi g crazy with growth. I am hoping i have sorted the root rot/heat issues now and recently popped 3 el patron into coco cubes to join the party if they make it ( 6 days in tissue and still only just showing cracks, had to see if coco can help them emerge. ). Pull up a stool and shoot the breeze growmie.

Another run of trim done today. About 2 Oz and a similar amount left to do. Some blackberry trim making it smell nice too.

I did only use the 250m and the 25m screens this time tobsave time as we had visitors arriving. The trim amd ice are now resting in a bucket of water over night again to get any remainder out. I have used the 25m as a giant teabag which works quite well. Lets see what the morning brings.

Here we have the finished results from the overnight soak in the 250m bag ,until harvesting the next morning through the 25m screen.

The quality is affected from a little veg matter in this final soak but it does give something at least.
The total overall for approx 2.5-3oz of trim isn't too disappointing at just over 10g. This is now drying a little before i put it with the rest in the freezer in its boveda cardboard box curing device.lol
20200815_124506.jpg

I still have about 2oz to process of trim so will add that as I do it too. Keeps something of interest happening till the girls recover better. I have also put the El Patron into cubes to give them a final chance to join the race but nothing so far at day 1. 2 had at least split to reveal the tap roots position so I am hoping they will burst into life after nearly a week trying to get tap to show up. 1 still looks as it did at the beginning so we will see what happens. Peace and health growmies.

Update: With a few days gone there is sure signs of a recovery on tank 1 now but still look stunted and struggling but they are making new roots now so should come around , especially now the weather has cooled. I am going to move them to tank 1 and go with 1 tank. The size and growth rates of the soil pots are amazing and if the El Patron don't germ , i will move them Under the sp250. Once the tank has got over the issues and is actually growing as it should , they will be flipped as soon as i feel they will be worth the flowering. The soil pots are so advanced that it will be difficult to manage if i let them go much more in veg. I plan on a major defol so that will help a bit but I want to try to use all of the heads that have set themselves up nicely. With space, they could be very good yields.
The pics don't do the poorly ladies justice as they do look better live. A tank change and shift around is the next step. Unfortunately other commitments have took time from growing recently and decorating to keep Mrs GG smiling has at least finished so far so I can get back to it . Not being able to work in the grow during the daytime is difficult and limits what I can get done. Roll on winter.lol

Hopefully next update will have tha changes made and some El Parron action.
Be sane growmies

Looking great G

Hey I asked before but I don’t remember seeing an answer. Why do you knuckle them? I have a few accidental knuckles on my plants.

The knuckles will hold the plants limbs and create a mini-storage/distribution point for the off-coming limbs , they will also hold a good weight of flowering bud as a main stem would. @TraLa . It is a great technique if time to recover is not an issue. It will create a similar shaped plant to using stakes for the job in the beginning.

Top of the morning to you all.
I thought it was worth an update now I have been busy sorting the room finally.
It has been frustrating to be so busy in the real world to get to do what I love and live for here. Seeing the state of the tank girls ( no puns about Japanese mango @MrSauga !!! Can't forget you buddy , I know you lurk waiting for them.lol) and their brown slimy roots , it was no wonder they are struggling.
I refitted the tank to fit all the girls inton1 now as rhis seems to be the way to go . The Los ladies are so advanced and vigorous that I can't imagine getting too long to veg when they recover and bounce back.
The pics speak for themselves on their health sadly but I am confident they will be OK.
The Amnesia , FFT#9 and#10 have all had a decent strip out of their lower growth and bigger fans. I gave them a good workout on the knuckles again too and tied Amnesia and #9 down to the pots edges. There are seem really strong contenders for bud spikes showing and getting the airflow around the whole plants is a must now they are so big leafed. They are directly under the sp250 now at full height for the light and about 22 inches from the canopy. Temps are at a reasonable 24.5°c now with humidity at 68%. The sp3000 is still at 50% power while they recover a little so we will see how they do.

I left the girls to settle for evening in their new set up . This morning I got to check on them before lights out and the growth and rebound surprised me. Not so much in the tank girls but on the Los pots.

Fingers crossed we are on again now. Be safe and well.

Hi all. I have been busy finishing the last of the frozen trim and stems off today. I had about 2oz from the previous grow autos and this smells heavily like pineapples freshly cut as soon as i toolk it out. It has been dmfrozen for quite a while now , at least 5 months maybe. The stalks have been in the freezer for a sinimar time as I don't like hash making with them too much.

I also found using this old golfclub( can't own guns here!!) to stir up the ice is perfect. I won't use the drill this time now as there is not a lot to mix.

The stems are only being agitated in a ice cold bath and 2 bags of ice to give room to allow the branches to mix better.

I will only filter the water from that bucket through the screen on final pull of the trims soak overnight after I have harvested that too.
The trim bucket got 4 packs of ice and less water ,to agitate as much as i could before the melt occurred of the ice. I did 20 mins agitation , rest 20 mins , 20 mins more agitation , rest 30 mins , final agitation for 20 mins then left it to settle for an hour.
The 25m Screen gave me 6.57 g of lovely smelling pliable Hash.

The little matter in it is not an issue and the smell alone has me excited to try it once its dried a bit. I could model with it but it feels very different to work in my hand to the others done. Sticky as hell too. It will be interesting to see what the stalk water gives up next.. be well fellow 420 buddies.

And the last little 2g puck from soaking. All done and dusted with the hash now. Soon be dried and pressing it together for a lump. Yay. Happy bunny here. Soon be sampling it I hope. Be well folks

Very nice, I just finished making hash from 100g of seeded Blue Dream. It’s in the freezer so I can get it off the 25 micron screen, sticky as glue.

Actually, smoking a bit of it now that I scraped off the screen lol
I have been trying different ways to make it handle better for joints. Full.melt would be impossible so i dont mind a lower quality to burn easier. The 12 hours in a warm place after initial pressing dry has been good so far. As soon as i have gone 12 hours or so I put it into the freezer to dry for another 10 days at least. It is doing the first batches ok so far and if is looking more like hash. Still has a nice bendyness when it warms up but not as hard to roll out ect...

Do you smoke it with tobacco GGD?
sadly i do Celt. i so enjoy joints with the cig in. when i smoke pure, i dont enjoy it the same at all. been a lifetime of the same really. should get a press.lol
