:thanks: thanks, arellanobrian. We are not best. We are trying to be. :Namaste:
haha no worries man whatever i get ill post and at least there will be more info out there on them :Namaste: i know there def not the best out there but i cant really afford them anyways along with getting some A+ personal herb i do think There is a place for MarsHydro LEDs but only time will tell i guess

:thanks: thank you Ricky. PM replied. You are lucky.:cheesygrinsmiley:
My order is placed with SmokeSara! Couldn't have been a more perfect time for me that the new stock just came in! Now I sit in anticipation of the shipment!

:circle-of-love: hi og, you can add 900w to HPS for flower. Acutally, if you get MarsII900w with switches, you can run it throughout the grow. During veg, just turn on Veg switch and go full spectrum for flower.:circle-of-love:
so i got my mars2 900 wat for my 3.25 ft x 3.25 ft x 6 tent will be posting pictures soon....and by the looks of it my plants love it... i love it....today will be the first full day. So i will post pictures when i get home from work. Gives me so much more space to work with now that i dont have this big duct and aircooled light in the way. I was using 400watt mh for veg and an hps for flower. I was like what for when i can use a 900watt led that only uses about 430watt or so not sure. EASY CHOICE. I do have one question. i see that you can use both settings at once. when would this be optimal @smokesara?

:bravo: wow, well said, oldergrower. I couldn't agree with you any more. :cheesygrinsmiley: Older, we have the same way of thinking. This is exactly what I feel. :hugs: However, probably, I am the only one who is not a grower here. :cheesygrinsmiley: I don't have right to judge. Also, personally, I don't like to judge something I don't try myself.:dreamy: You just put what I want to say.:thanks:
Hey all,
Glad to have an oportunity to learn from many growers who are way above my skill level and even help out a few who are not. I honestly believe there are more "more skilled" then "Less skilled". I have been reading a lot of this site as well as others and I pretty much see the same thing on all of the sites. Comments like You are a grower and he ain't. ( sorry Neil74, not picking on you, your comment just happened to be handy) I personally have not checked out arellanobrians grows but just from my own personal experience I would think it was safe to say if he is getting .5 grams per watt he has completed a grow. That being said, is he a grower? Hell yes he is! Is Dozzy a grower? Heck yeah I have seen some of his pics of his grows. Just because one person does not get as good of results as another, it does not take away the fact that they too are successful. Remember, we all do not have the same budget to work with when we grow. Not everyone grows for the same reasons, and while your reason seems completely reasonable, others may think your nuts.
Personally I am stoked that Arellanobrian is so excited about his new light. I hope the best for him and hope he exceeds his expectations.
I can only imagine what you would think of me, if you knew I grow and do not even smoke it. Wish I could but at this juncture in time I can't. I grow because it relaxes me and I love the plant more then any other plant. It is beautiful! Yield? who cares, heck I did not even weigh my outdoor crop from this year. Why would I? I am not growing this as a business, I am growing because I love to grow.
I am happy that Dozzy has found what works best for him and happy that others are willing to experiment and see what works best for them. Everyones situation is different. I see people on this web site who, because of their situation, grow in empty soda pop containers. To me that says something. Perhaps thats all he can afford, or perhaps he is only using them because he wants to reuse something instead of sending it to the landfill. Either way, to me that screams passion about growing.

Dang, sorry still working on that 1st cup of coffee. (backing away from the soapbox)

:thanks: super~~ thanks for sharing your grow experience. Process is more imprtant. As long as we keep learning, we will get better result. Super, You are a great grower.:thumb:
No issues as far as I am concerned. I try to focus on the positive and leave the negative alone. That being said, I have no doubt that arellanobrian will exceed .5 g/w. My first grow I ended with 12 or 14 g of strong but really awful tasting weed. I nute burned the hell out of it. Each grow since then has been better. As my skills increase, I learn what works best for me. What to feed, when to feed, how close that plants need to be from the light. We all learn from each other. Both from the successes and the failures. My last full grow before I had to take everything down, I got a little over 15 oz from 4 plants. Not quite a g/w but close.

I am glad arellanobrian got the chance to test the light since I could not. He does a great job documenting his grow so that we all can learn. :peace:

Good morning/evening Sara (which ever the case may be)

I am presently running a 325 watt and a 375 watt LED (actual watts at the wall) in a 5x10x6.5 tent. Presently I am only using around 1/2 of the tents potential flowering 3 plants and am thinking for the next grow I would like to get more lights to allow the tent to be more productive. Now before you toss out oh get a 1200 or 1600 that will fill out the rest of your tent, let me say my line of thinking is it is better to have many smaller lights that overlap each others foot print as opposed to one light casting one big footprint. My logic behind this is multifold. 1-If 1 light has an issue and needs to be sent in for warranty work in the middle of the grow, I will not loose my whole crop. 2- Not all plants grow at the exact same rate, even when they are of the same strain. Multiple lights would give me better overall penetration due t the fact some lights would be lower while others higher depending on actual plant heights.
My present grow should be wrapping up in around 6 to 7 weeks which by then I figure I will be back to work. At that point I am pretty sure "She who must be obeyed" will have no issue with me buying a few more lights. I am not the kind of guy who has to have the biggest baddest monster sized colas the size of king kongs forearm kind of guy. I just need decent coverage that will produce respectable quality buds.
if you want you can either post it here or in a PM and lets see what we can work out.

Night/morning which ever the case may be

:thumb: wow, that's a very good job, King. Techniques and experiences also matter.:circle-of-love:
I don't have a scale but I had a friend over last night and he is longtime smoker. He checked out what I have left and said I have an easy 8 ounces still left. Since I've already given away a lot of it to family and friends that means I was way over .5 g per watt on my first ever grow and using only Mars lights. Probably closer to .7 or .8 g per watt. So just because one person does poorly on the grow, doesn't mean that the lights were at fault. There are a lot of things that can go wrong. Genetics, nutrients, temperature, humidity, etc.

thank you, Neil. I understand that.:Namaste: haha, you are free to express any ideas.:laughtwo:
No offense taken, my comment was aimed at an attitude towards Sara and MarsHydro. One grower who blames ALL on the light and one who takes the time to watch his plants and adjust as needed. One day I hope to be able to post my failures and success stories too. Unfortunately I live in a state and county that aggressively pursues hobby gardeners whether they inhale or not, until then I will finish my coffee and hot pepper and eggs sandwich and refrain from any more negativity towards others. Thanks for pointing out my failure to control my blood pressure, I will return to lurking.

 time to harvest both the bud and pepper.
Wife just sent me a Picture... Yeah Baby...

:thumb: well said, Gnarl.
Growing is kind of like religion.

The truly passionate growers are humble and always thirsting for more knowledge and claim to have so much more to learn while some others think they know it all and if you aren't following their path you must be hopelessly lost.

:yahoo: thank you and your wife, Knight! I love this very much and save it. When we have stock for Mars Pro, I will announce the news with this pic, too.

Quick question guys but probably asked many times. My two plants are ready to go into flower stage and are current doing an 18/6 from 6am to 12am. How do I transition over? When Saturdays cycle ends let it go 18 hours dark? and start at 6pm-6am schedule - which is what I would like to do?

Any suggestions please?

When lights go out on 18/6 I flip it too 12/12 there are many ways but I just kiss way and works. So when I flip there will be a 6 extra hours of dark the first night.

:cheesygrinsmiley: hmm... this reminds me of the book I have read recently, "Tolerance" from Fang Long. The history of religion is full of conflicts, persecution and oppression. Fortunatly, we have gone through the dark age. At least, now people are tolerant of different views and don't regard themselves as correct ideas upon others. :Namaste: Growing may find some similarities from it.:cheesygrinsmiley: Different growers have their own way. And we don't look at them with prejudice. :hugs: We are open-minded.
Oh my. Growing is nothing like religion. If growing was a religion we would have to get rid of all the grow journals and any other items that teach us new things as we learn our way, and instead rely on an established dogma from years past and praying that the grows turn out OK. This community is the furthest thing from a religion analogy. We are all open minded and reward each other's skepticism and are not afraid to change our minds when we find we have done something wrong. The knowledge and techniques in growing have evolved extensively over the last few decades. This fast paced, open minded, highly skeptical and inquisitive nature of this hobby are atheistic in form if anything. We do not praise those that make claims we have to take on faith, and if you can't prove your claims with actual results, you are not taken seriously. As it should be.

May our current gods and dogmas go the way of Zeus and the other thousands of human created gods of our past.
-Amen

:slide: I have ever been attacked by inanimate objects, weird. Now feel so relieved to know it has a name.:dreamy:
Though my favorite R word would be Resistentialism. It means a humorous theory that inanimate objects display malice towards humans.

lol. be careful, they pretend to be innocent and make you think it's your fault.:)
Its true, coffee tables can jump across a room, just in time for your toes to slam right into the bugger .... Damn sneaky, those inanimate objects, got me a few times
