haha no worries man whatever i get ill post and at least there will be more info out there on them :Namaste: i know there def not the best out there but i cant really afford them anyways along with getting some A+ personal herb i do think There is a place for MarsHydro LEDs but only time will tell i guess

I watched your grows and Doozy,s even if you screw up half way you'll do better than him. Difference being you are a grower and he ain't:) "Once upon a time I killed half my seeds twas the lights fault.....:)"

so i got my mars2 900 wat for my 3.25 ft x 3.25 ft x 6 tent will be posting pictures soon....and by the looks of it my plants love it... i love it....today will be the first full day. So i will post pictures when i get home from work. Gives me so much more space to work with now that i dont have this big duct and aircooled light in the way. I was using 400watt mh for veg and an hps for flower. I was like what for when i can use a 900watt led that only uses about 430watt or so not sure. EASY CHOICE. I do have one question. i see that you can use both settings at once. when would this be optimal @SmokeSara?

Hey all,
Glad to have an oportunity to learn from many growers who are way above my skill level and even help out a few who are not. I honestly believe there are more "more skilled" then "Less skilled". I have been reading a lot of this site as well as others and I pretty much see the same thing on all of the sites. Comments like You are a grower and he ain't. ( sorry Neil74, not picking on you, your comment just happened to be handy) I personally have not checked out arellanobrians grows but just from my own personal experience I would think it was safe to say if he is getting .5 grams per watt he has completed a grow. That being said, is he a grower? Hell yes he is! Is Dozzy a grower? Heck yeah I have seen some of his pics of his grows. Just because one person does not get as good of results as another, it does not take away the fact that they too are successful. Remember, we all do not have the same budget to work with when we grow. Not everyone grows for the same reasons, and while your reason seems completely reasonable, others may think your nuts.
Personally I am stoked that Arellanobrian is so excited about his new light. I hope the best for him and hope he exceeds his expectations.
I can only imagine what you would think of me, if you knew I grow and do not even smoke it. Wish I could but at this juncture in time I can't. I grow because it relaxes me and I love the plant more then any other plant. It is beautiful! Yield? who cares, heck I did not even weigh my outdoor crop from this year. Why would I? I am not growing this as a business, I am growing because I love to grow.
I am happy that Dozzy has found what works best for him and happy that others are willing to experiment and see what works best for them. Everyones situation is different. I see people on this web site who, because of their situation, grow in empty soda pop containers. To me that says something. Perhaps thats all he can afford, or perhaps he is only using them because he wants to reuse something instead of sending it to the landfill. Either way, to me that screams passion about growing.

Dang, sorry still working on that 1st cup of coffee. (backing away from the soapbox)

Hey OldGrower... :)
I don't smoke it either... But I do make the cookies and lotions to put on my aches and pains.
And my wife and I like to grow Veggies for the garden outside in her green house.
But this year I thought I would expand my Growing Marijuana in a small bedroom to a Grow Room I can enjoy without the clutter...
Since this time it is going to be an enclosed grow room with no outside air coming in or out, with Co2, with (3) MarsPro Cree128 Leds Lights and etc.
It will be a new challenge and experience.
So after it is all setup and ready to Grow, I am bringing in one of my Scorpion Hot Pepper Plants into the Grow Room for a test run.
I will test the led lights, Co2 and etc on a already grown pepper plant to see if it likes the Grow Room setup. I want to make sure it lives, Lol, and not die before I start growing the good stuff... :)
I have only used CFL lights in the past to grow my stuff.
This year I decided to step up my game, larger Grow Room, easy to get into, Trying new lighting so I went with Leds this time. Yes I spent some money, hopefully only a one time expense on equipment. But it will be a lot better than buying outright the Marijuana from a store. So I figured it would easily pay for itself after one or two grows and then I will have the equipment still too.

No issues as far as I am concerned. I try to focus on the positive and leave the negative alone. That being said, I have no doubt that arellanobrian will exceed .5 g/w. My first grow I ended with 12 or 14 g of strong but really awful tasting weed. I nute burned the hell out of it. Each grow since then has been better. As my skills increase, I learn what works best for me. What to feed, when to feed, how close that plants need to be from the light. We all learn from each other. Both from the successes and the failures. My last full grow before I had to take everything down, I got a little over 15 oz from 4 plants. Not quite a g/w but close.

I am glad arellanobrian got the chance to test the light since I could not. He does a great job documenting his grow so that we all can learn. :peace:

Good morning Neighbor to the north,
It is refreshing to see others who are not only passionate about the plant itself but the actual act of growing it. "She who must be OBEYED" likes gardening as well though I will say she was very reluctant to letting me grow inside. I think it is her distrust in our government that makes her reluctant.

Looking forward to seeing how your garden indoors does, please send me an invite to your journal when you get it up and running, heck even pics of the build would be cool.

Oldergrower the link to my Journal is in my signature. Just click on it and it will take you there.

My other hobby is building track cars. And one of the big things that you always see on the automotive forums is that people always blame the tools. He'll say I ran a 12 second quarter mile, it must be the spark plugs I bought. It never has anything to do with their tuning or skills.

I don't have a scale but I had a friend over last night and he is longtime smoker. He checked out what I have left and said I have an easy 8 ounces still left. Since I've already given away a lot of it to family and friends that means I was way over .5 g per watt on my first ever grow and using only Mars lights. Probably closer to .7 or .8 g per watt. So just because one person does poorly on the grow, doesn't mean that the lights were at fault. There are a lot of things that can go wrong. Genetics, nutrients, temperature, humidity, etc.

No offense taken, my comment was aimed at an attitude towards Sara and MarsHydro. One grower who blames ALL on the light and one who takes the time to watch his plants and adjust as needed. One day I hope to be able to post my failures and success stories too. Unfortunately I live in a state and county that aggressively pursues hobby gardeners whether they inhale or not, until then I will finish my coffee and hot pepper and eggs sandwich and refrain from any more negativity towards others. Thanks for pointing out my failure to control my blood pressure, I will return to lurking.

My buddy has a Camaro that he races. Nitro..the works. Over 700hp measured at the wheels. Does 1/4 in under 11 secs. :) :peace:

Nice! Pushing 700 he can definitely get into the 10 second club. I have an Audi twin turbo pushing 500 hp and I can only grab 12 second runs. But I suck at the 1/4 mile, and I know someone more skilled at running through the gears could do better. I just don't have the skills for that style. I am more of a road racer.

I watched a video on the audi rs6 engine. With a longer 6th gear I stalled at around $1000 the car car easy push past 200 mph

So I started my first grow with the mars hydro 600 watt old model I am running short stuff seeds pink grapefruit auto and sweet seeds sweet trainwreck my plants are 7 days old from cracked seed today im using techna flora recipe for success nutrients and im growing in a 2.5x2.5x6.5 grow area im using 6inch blower fan and charcoal filter and 1 reguler fan im using dwc with 2 water pumps and to 6in circle air stones they work well my light is set at 40 in obove my canipe my plants seem to be ok so far no burns or white coloration when my plants get to about 12 days I will add my scrog screen to start training them then I will steady drop my light to ajust to the grow so now ill have 75 days till harvest so wish me luck

Growing is kind of like religion.

The truly passionate growers are humble and always thirsting for more knowledge and claim to have so much more to learn while some others think they know it all and if you aren't following their path you must be hopelessly lost.
