Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Growing is kind of like religion.

The truly passionate growers are humble and always thirsting for more knowledge and claim to have so much more to learn while some others think they know it all and if you aren't following their path you must be hopelessly lost.

Oh my. Growing is nothing like religion. If growing was a religion we would have to get rid of all the grow journals and any other items that teach us new things as we learn our way, and instead rely on an established dogma from years past and praying that the grows turn out OK. This community is the furthest thing from a religion analogy. We are all open minded and reward each other's skepticism and are not afraid to change our minds when we find we have done something wrong. The knowledge and techniques in growing have evolved extensively over the last few decades. This fast paced, open minded, highly skeptical and inquisitive nature of this hobby are atheistic in form if anything. We do not praise those that make claims we have to take on faith, and if you can't prove your claims with actual results, you are not taken seriously. As it should be.

May our current gods and dogmas go the way of Zeus and the other thousands of human created gods of our past.
-Amen

That just may be the most sickening load of rubbish I ever read:)..... inhale... exhale.... back to being nice and lurking now:)

What did I say that was wrong? Don't religions (at least our prominent ones - Christianity/Judism/Islam) all have ancient texts with established dogmas that are filled with known facts not to be changed? Does gardening have an ancient text that prescribes methods for soils, lighting, fertilizing, and photoperiod that we most follow regardless of our results?

If the answer to the first question is yes, and the second question is no, then they are indeed not in the least bit alike.

Wow! That R word just blows your mind doesn't it? :) Forget that first line and just read the last statement and see if you can wrap your mind around it. :) "The truly passionate growers are humble and always thirsting for more knowledge and claim to have so much more to learn while some others think they know it all and if you aren't following their path you must be hopelessly lost."

Though my favorite R word would be Resistentialism. It means a humorous theory that inanimate objects display malice towards humans.

Its true, coffee tables can jump across a room, just in time for your toes to slam right into the bugger .... Damn sneaky, those inanimate objects, got me a few times

Oh, neglecting the first line I would have to agree with you 100% :)

and some of us aren't even decent growers, and still looking for advice :Namaste:

We still talking about growing/lights right? Everybody smoke one and let's do it moving. :volcano-smiley: Religion and Politics are always a no no, unless we are in a specific forum for that.

Agree. It was my bad. I am, as one would say, a militant atheist, and I got out of hand. Please forgive the tangent.

So, my new Mars II 400 came in today, and it has light switches for bloom and grow, and also they rotated the hangers so that the light would hang straight. Very nice improvements. Very nice evolution of the product!

Evolution. Just one more time - Evolution :) Just kidding, I am done with my diatribe.

i found this waiting for me when i got home from work today and will do a proper setup and test of the light once i get some time haha its 2 in the morning here in Colorado so ill start the tester journal tomorrow :circle-of-love:

Here they are guys and gals. 7 regular candyland seeds and 1 Green love potion feminized i did just cause it was a freebie. i dont know if i will keep it or not. But the light came in yesterday and i just been monitoring temperature and humidity levels. The seeds were in a glass of water for a day and a paper towel for day 2 and these are now 24 hours in their solo cups. Hopefully they pop up soon. And the light is a safe 45" above just to heat the 3x3 Gorilla grow tent. When they sprout i will lower it a little bit. :Namaste:

:cheertwo: good plan  give you my best wishes. You will acheive the result. The feature of the new light will allow different intensities.:cheesygrinsmiley:
thanx man :thanks: but ive been averaging 0.5 GPW and hope the new light along with the experiance ive picked up along the way i cant make this SCROG more like 0.75 GPW :volcano-smiley: i think its very possible but with this new syle light i may use different intensitys throught the flowering stage as well as throughout the day if the panel will allow me to. thanx for the good vibes though brotha

:thumb: as I said before, Doozy, high-end set-up.:tokin:
Sorry, i was being sarcastic....you seem like a nice guy but you won't get more than 0.5gpw with Mars Hydro bro.
