Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Thanks for your sharing Sweetleef, I am very very happy that we have one more friend grow great with our light.

mars 2 1600w to replace two 600w LED or HPS?

(10 feet long x 12 feet wide x 10 foot ceilings)
as of right now i have planned for one mars 2 1600 to replace my two 600w setups right now.
i would love to see a system (daisy chain or not) to where i could hook up (2-4) floor 400w+ led that shine upward into the skirt of my canopy.

mars 2 1600 (top light)
reflector 48x3w (2 on east side 2 on west side)
Floor ***** led light (1 on north side 1 on south side)

Here are some pics of a couple critical phenos under Mars 2 1200, ignore the mite damage not the lights fault :) But the mites are now DEAD!

43 days into flower, they smell real nice too!, very fruity!

Seeing if I get any more bud swell before harvest, should be week-2 tops.

Nice Crawdaddy! Nice to be able to see mite damage. Being new to green growing, I never saw what the damage looks like and how to identify it. Very happy to see you overcame those little buggars.

Just wanted to say i got my 2 new 100x3w units in....6 days from ordering.

both units are in working order.

one thing i noticed in comparison to the other similar 100x3 unit from an eBay seller is that these are lot brighter than what was supposed to be equivalent output. i dont have a watt meter but i saw a youtube of a guy with the same unit from the ebay seller and it only pulled 90w of the advertised 150-170w.

I dont know if these are pulling the full juice or not but one thing is for sure...these are brighter!!

I also have a 100x3 old model and like you i was very surprised how bright it is. I am very happy with it.

Glad to hear you saw similar results helps me know im not being biased on the new gear :)

Do you have a journal running using you 100x3??

I haven't got a grow journey sorry mate. Maybe i will start one soon if i get the chance.

It all the little white spots on leaves. the little f**ckers suck out the cholophyll from the underside of plants, and when they REALLY infest you they will start making 'tents' of webbing around the tops.
 
I can't really speak honestly to that because I have only grown under LED's but I have gone from blooming under a 3w reflector then put it under the 5w Mars II to finish and it did fine. Actually I just harvested a clone from a Sugar Black Rose yesterday that started under the 3w and finished under the 5w and I am thrilled with the end product. You are more than welcome to check it out in the bottom journal in my signature. The page count on the journal is a bit overwhelming but just check the last few pages and you will see the harvest and what is left under the Mars II......:circle-of-love:
