Evening All

I recently harvested my 2 ladies, Northern Light blue and Fruity Chronic Juice, unfortunately i dont have any pictures to post yet as I have not long been back having been away abroad for a week since harvest. But here they are as some of you may know them:

And now they are in jars ;) together they came in at just over 12oz dry. I used the Mars II 900w for the first half of flowering and then switched to my Mars II 1200w. Both proved very effective. Very dense buds, and very high resin production, very, very strong smoke!

I wish you all a very happy and green weekend! :Namaste:

Thanks for chiming in Crawdaddy. I think this is something I definitely want to find the cause of because if less light equals better bud than I want to know!! That would be something pretty exciting. But that's not really the conclusion Im drawing from what you guys are saying. I am thinking you guys would say up the cal/mag and not dim the lights. lol. But the better bigger buds are definitely the ones on the outskirts of my light envelope and the ones that are being shaded by other buds or leaves. Weird! But Im a new grower so Im not sure how common this is. I will post the wattage at the wall for my 144x3's if anyone is interested or if it has already been posted maybe someone can just let me know. Thanks again guys. Happy Growing!

Hey Sara... was looking to pick a 144x3w reflector shipped to the USA... when I looked in the past it was free ship to the US.. now it says 45$ for ship to the USA and this seems to be the only light with that additional charge... Just curious as to why this is.
thanks!
Bryan

anyone here have used the mars II flower spectrum? I just received mines but are afraid to use it because someone say it cause the plants to stress like crazy and started to seed. Is this true?

I know SkunnyMonsters has a Mars II with flower spectrum, you can pop up in his journal and ask about it, I know he will do his best to answer your questions.

Give it a try man , don't be scared. It was probably something else that made the plant hermie, you have the light you might as well use it. I would have that light up in a second.

Hi, Bud. thanks for your help!:thanks:

Hey guys and gals. Had a question. Figured if any one had the answer it would be this community. So I've got two 144 x 3 reflector series lights. I have them in a 4x4 room. Lights are about 5 inches apart so both of them roughly form a square. They are about 20" from the canopy. 2 plants in a rdwc. Air temps around 78 F. Water temps average 70 F. 450 - 500 ppm CO2. Tap water filtered to 80 ppm. Don't know if any of those is relevant to my question but I figure it can't hurt. My observation is that the leaves on the outer edge of the room that get less light look super healthy. Very lush green with a slight shine to them. Not like nitrogen toxicity, just healthy. The plants just entered their 5th week of flower. Also the buds look a little healthier too on the edges. In the middle of the plants the leaves look a little bleached, maybe like a mag deficiency or something. Some of the middle older leaves get worse turn brown and eventually die. So my question is do any of you guys notice this phenomenon? I posted a similar post under the sick plants thread with pics but did not get much of a response so I figured I would try here. Not really asking for a def. diagnostic or anything. More or less just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and if so what they might have done to fix it. Thanks guys. Really do like my lights. I will post some pics if anyone is interested. Happy Growing!

From what I have been reading about LEDs it seems like you may have your light too close to the canopy. I've heard of people going up as high as 36" with lights that are close to yours in watts. I was using a 140w led and I had to get up to 20 to 24 inches before my plants were looking right. I have a top led 80x5 coming that I'm planning on starting at 36".

hello, guys! our 192x3w reflector is out of stock on US warehouse, and Mars II 700w is out of stock on our UK warehouse, so we have to add shipping cost and ship from China for all of you . I am so sorry to give you all this information. :(

Hey guys, just thought I'd pop by and offer my two cents.
I just finished my first grow using the Mars II 1200w standard spectrum and I must say...it done a great job!
Grew very nice and bushy plants during veg and my flowers where very impressive IMO.
On going to post harvest pics soon but my suggestion is check out all the journals using a Mars II and see for yourself because they can and have done great things!

Thanks Sara!

That is waaaay to high dude. I'd start @ 24" if I were you. 36' is a loooooooong way's from the tops of the plants, let alone the under branches. I have my 1200 (same thing just covers more area) about 10" from the tallest plant in my grow with no ill effect. Here's a pic if the tallest bud with the light 10" from it...
