Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

They are the old 300s so it's not s true test of mars vs quantum as their technology is better today than it was when I got these. But I have great success with them. Great success.

There must be some advantages that we can learn from quantum :thanks:

Just a few quick pics. These girls are all in a 3x3 tent flowering under an Epi320.

I run 2 x 400 hps in a 7x2ft area. Also only have 5ft headroom. Just shopping around atm to find an alternative. But if i spend the money it has to work as good or better. No real urgency.

Do you want to update HPS to led?

I like the sound of this, maybe even adopt the same idea for an array of proII 80's..

The DIY cob market is taking off but a lot of folks are not comfortable with soldering,I believe a side by side between some Mars cob's and some quantum board's would be a better show than Mars v HPS...

We won't change the design of proII series at this stage, but we can add some advantages of other lights to ours when we produce bigger COB:thanks:

I did choose a cheaper light!!!! This is my first. But IV spent £206 but for that I had 2×600w Meizhi and Mr Canuck is not wrong hahaha

Do you plan to try Mars in the future? Or make comparison between Mars and MeiZhi?

No reason they shouldn't have a high end line.... I've been looking at the quantum boards and they look really nice

The quantum boars look great from rooster's picture

Hooked up the new light so we can see the difference between the quantum boards and the mars 300s
These run 260watts. The mars in the back run a combined total of 280 Watts.

:thanks: How long you have used the quantum boards?

Why cant they make a really decent light with the capability to expand or daisy chain them. Honda does it with generators. Instead of good better best make them all best and let the customer decide what they want. Speaking for myself I learned a long time ago not to spend alot of money on something till I am relatively sure it works for me and I am going to need/use it. Ask any mechanic with $100,000 plus tied up in tools purchased over a lifetime.

Our very old light models with daisy chain, but some growers use this function with many lights that is more than 1000W, it is dangerous, so we canceled this function.
