Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

You use full sepectrum from veg to flowering,right?:goodjob:

For what it's worth, I have cloned under a full spectrum (older) Mars II 400. It works fine. You just need to make sure it is high enough above. I usually am at 2.5-3 ft for clones. :peace:

Many many other growers on this thread have gone from start to finish using only the LED. As for the no one clones under 300 watts I do it regularly with a 400 w MH in one of My 3 -----------s the key is simply learning where to place the lights and the knowledge of your craft and equiptment ... I abhor absolute statements. " no one clones under anything but flouros".. obviously they do.. So just picked up a 600 mars veg light just waiting on a return from mars for my 700...and ive got to say yes you will have a hard time making a warrenty claim but eventually it will get done but maybe there is a company out there that makes warrenty claims much easier and maybe in the same or close time zone. It can be done just patience is key.

:circle-of-love:As in our rules:no T5,but as some growers used it for few days,we can not ask them cut the plants,so they can still enter the contest,just it will affect the final result more or less.:high-five:We want to make things better for our growers.:high-five:

It's really simple, use MarsHydro LED from START TO FINISH. mars hydro only no t5/cfl or anything.
No complaints then and simple to understand. If people start clones or seeds under different lights they shouldn't be eligible to enter. Simple as that!

First your rules stated no T5 or anything other than Mars Hydro LEDs but so far you have changed that to allowing some growers to start with different lights. LED lights can be used from day 1 to harvest so there is no reason to allow this for some. Otherwise you should allow everyone to use different lights to start, however that defeats the purpose.

I have two brand new Mars Pro II Epistar 160 models which would be perfect and just started germinating new seeds but I dont think I will enter this competition. I don't feel like the rules have been planned properly and I dont have confidence that it will be judged fairly if you're now allowing growers to start with non mars hydro lights.
I think the Mars Hydro team needs to take more time and preparation when planning this sort of competition.

Got the lights on either amazon or ebay cant remember. But ones working okay might upgrade soon but ones on warrenty and was shipped to commerce cali just waiting on an email with confirmed shipping. Ones a 600w and the other is 2-700

Can you please be more clear and precise about the rules. I'd like to enter but I'm not confident in the judges if some are allowed different rules to others.
Can we use other lights? And if so, for how much of the grow can they be used for?

I really think only Mars lights should be permitted from start to finish. No exceptions no matter what. Clones and seeds can both be started using Mars LED's, they just need to be the right distance away, people saying they have to use T5 to start shouldn't be allowed to enter.

I like Mars Hydro a lot but they leave a lot to be desired in certain areas of the business. This sort of thing needs to be done diligently and fairly

There's a few companies doing these sorts of competitions and none have any issues making clear rules and no exceptions
