Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

IMG_0028_1_1.JPG

So just picked up a 600 mars veg light just waiting on a return from mars for my 700...and ive got to say yes you will have a hard time making a warrenty claim but eventually it will get done but maybe there is a company out there that makes warrenty claims much easier and maybe in the same or close time zone. It can be done just patience is key.

each to their own and mine to smoke

:goodjob:Our team already checked your journal,we will update to our website.:high-five:You did a great job.:bravo:It's also cute there.:volcano-smiley:
If the point of the contest is to showcase the Mars Lights, then the rule of from start to finish under only Mars Lights should stand. I have not had a issue getting seedlings to start under My 144's as shown in My Journal.

:circle-of-love:We will have more contest later, you can join in.:high-five:
In the first rules we wrote:
Rules:
#1. Plants must be grown with only a MARS LED LIGHT. No CFL no t5/8 no HPS. Just a MARS light which are selling on mars-hydro.com(you can check on our official website) ,we do not sell Mars300/600 on our official website.:high-five:
Mars 300/600 is our old model,we want growers know more about our new models.Compare with Mars300/600,they are with better built-up.:high-five:
Im bummed I cant use my mars 300..I just germed a bean and then saw that the mars 300 and 600 were not allowed.

Why is that? Do they expect that using those lights that you will not get a decent enough plant/yield to compete with the newer lights?

Please do not think I am trying to be difficult I am Just curious as to hear the reasoning behind this considering they are in fact mars hydro lights.

Any info would greatly help in my understanding

:goodjob:Thanks for your help.:thanks:
We will not change the rules,in our rules:no Mars300/600:Namaste:We are trying our best to make it better go all of of your guys.:Namaste:
Some growers already used T5 to start clones, our team will check. It will affect the final result :high-five:
I don't work for mars but would assume there trying to showcase there newer lights. Or they can't trust there old lights being a legit mars hydro light.im probably wrong but the only thing I can see. Plus wait a few days and they will probably change ruling in that as well lol. By the looks of it there allowing some people to use t5 to start clones and have broke there rules as of when you can start the grow as well so only time will tell what else will change. I personally think they should restart mars hydro cup with a straight set of rules that don't change. They are a learning company and will eventually have this down pat

It won't affect the results. You should allow them to use t5 for rooting clones

:circle-of-love:It's our rules Mars300/600 will not join any promotions or contest, and Mars II ,Mars Pro (II),Reflector series, with better built-up.Mars 300/600 do not install IR diodes, and yes,it's without switches.
Mars300/600 will stop produce eventually, just not sure the date yet.We will provide more better light to replace it.:high-five:
Thats what I was wondering......if the company themselves think the older lights are not up to par.

I can 100% understand showcasing off their newer series I would just think if that was the case then the older reflector 48 series would be out of the running to. The only logical explanation I came up with would be that the mars 300 don't have the separate veg and bloom switch but I dont know if the 600 has duel switches cause I have yet to own one

Sara this is getting silly. Can you please stop changing the rules and allowing some people to start with non mars hydro lights?
It's really simple, use MarsHydro LED from START TO FINISH. mars hydro only no t5/cfl or anything.
No complaints then and simple to understand. If people start clones or seeds under different lights they shouldn't be eligible to enter. Simple as that!

I will tell our manager about this, maybe next time we can think about it.:high-five:
If I was mars hydro I'd let every mars light into the Comp. To showcase not only what newer light can do but also what there old technology can still do.ive never owned a older mars product say can't speak on them but have seen journals that have done well with them. Theres other categories not just for biggest yield that maybe the older light could contend in.maybe next hydro cup they will allow all there lights to participate.

If you have any opinions about our products or our service, please feel free to tell me here.:high-five:
It's no problem, our contest will ends on April 30th,you still can join in.:welcome:
If you need to purchase new lights, you can place on our official website:www.mars-hydro.com,the price is cheaper than other website.:high-five:
Ok... so while I'm not impressed with the tent I received from Mars-hydro or the way I was dealt with by their customer service...But because of what I have read on this forum about their newer led lights, I decided to give them one more chance.

I purchased a Mars II 1200 yesterday off Amazon for $600CAD shipped. Less than the price on the mars-hydro website. I won't receive it for a week, so too late for the competition and I have other grows going. But my next journal will be growing strictly with the new light so far can compare with another LED I am a using.
Just an FYI

I visited your journal:goodjob:
IN my semi legal state (AK) A clone is not counted as a plant till it is 8 inches tall. T-5 is standard for cloning. I know 144 has switch to dim down but this is an important stage of growth so why trust using blue spectrum for clone or seedling for contest. I have successfully cloned and sprouted under a two bulb 24 inch fixture (60 watt?) of cool whites for years( trying to maintain 76F). Usually I take way more cuttings than I need ( 4 inch) and use the healthiest first rooters. In this state I live in any plant with roots used to be counted as a plant, now it is not counted till it is 8 inches tall for commercial purposes (change of rules that constitutionally may be true for personal use as well if challenged). I plan to move to the Mars 1200 or 144 before the clones reach 8 inch and has noticeable vertical growth . The clone was under the t-5 for aprox 3 weeks or 1/5th of the entire cycle( 15 weeks) from cut to chop. What does this all mean? IDK , I think rules are meant to be broken and fixed till they get it right. Mars management may feel free to do as they wish as it is their contest.
