Another thing there should be instead of having just a grow journal section maybe dividing the prizes into different categories/tent sizes/ grow methods there is no way I would be chosen over someone with a 5x5 or bigger no point in even trying and as for the gram/watt ratio part you will get people lying and misting buds or not 100% dry. Maybe you should get growers who know what they are doing to judge.

My pro pic was under a mars 2 700 and finished on 450bloom g8. Got to say though mars does produce from start to end.

Should of waited for more input on rules before setting the first copy and paste ideas. You can start seedlings and clone under the mars lights exceptions shouldn't be made.

Its not hard to take a look at what other companies have successfully done in the past and replicate it.
It seems one thing Mars seems to drop the ball on is completely understanding their market and how things work before jumping ahead and advertising ideas.
They get a lot of critisism on forums like these for changing their minds on ideas after already advertising. Many customers, including myself often get confused with the way the communicate and the way they conduct business. I really think they would do well to work on this aspect

Yes they are but so are many other businesses and they don't have these same issues

Yes we are clear with our rules,and we will follow our rules.
We allow those growers who used T5 lights to start growing,cause we do not want anyone to kill their plants to restart.
As long as every grower who entered the contest did great work,this will not affect the result.We also believe that growers who use LED lights to start the seeds or clone only will do good job as well as T5,maybe even better
We want more grower share their good works with us.

Can you please be more clear and precise about the rules. I'd like to enter but I'm not confident in the judges if some are allowed different rules to others.
Can we use other lights? And if so, for how much of the grow can they be used for?

I really think only Mars lights should be permitted from start to finish. No exceptions no matter what. Clones and seeds can both be started using Mars LED's, they just need to be the right distance away, people saying they have to use T5 to start shouldn't be allowed to enter.

I like Mars Hydro a lot but they leave a lot to be desired in certain areas of the business. This sort of thing needs to be done diligently and fairly

This shouldn't be so complicate sweet seeds has had the same kind of contest for years with journals and what not but they have set rules and you can only use the seeds they give you.

Sorry Sara that doesn't make sense. Your rules state specifically "NO T5/CFL" So how is allowing growers to use them still following the rules.
Bad competition and sounds dodgy. I doubt it will be judged fairly.
Led can be used from the start so follow your own rules!!

We will take some pictures from your grow journal then put it on our facebook and Instagram, who get the most likes who win this category, but if you buy likes, your rights will be canceled.
5: Best Video:
who shows Video in internet for us, email us the link, we will find out the best one. Useful is very important for this category.
You can choose one which you are interested in.

Really if you wanted to have more people enter more categories should be allowed and smaller prizes. Say for the journal the top winner gets a pro80 and a 2x2. Then have 3 prizes of the pro80s for different sized tents/grow just make people pay shipping... Would of made it more appealing to people and set rules. Maybe get a hold of a seed company to work with to provide seeds for it and have the people entering pay shipping on there seeds. And only the seeds that are provided can be entered. Before you say anything I could of probably got all the seeds needed with ease.
