Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

:Namaste:We have video for how to replace the parts for our light on youtube,if you need,i can send you the link.:high-five:
I had thought of possibly swapping the fans however I cannot solder, nor do I have any real electronics knowledge and I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it without breaking something.
The noise isn't a big deal at the moment as it is inside of a wooden cabinet which kills 80% of the noise and sits near some other noisy pipes and stuff so its ok.
I however wish to expand and to do that I was going to use a tent which wont block the sound as well as the timber does. I will also need to buy more lights to cover the space so would be good to get some that are a bit quieter

It's not actually soldering anything well I know with the new models it's not it's just simply unscrewing it and clipping off the zip tie that holds the connection then switching the connection and screwing in the new one.

:circle-of-love:We upgrated power supply, fans, as well as led chips for our new model. It didn't use glass cover, and we recommend our customer go with our Mars Pro II,it with better built-up,it has vents around the paneland run cooler and will last longer.:high-five:
Mars Pro
You need to buy a new light, right? You can go with the Mars Pro II Epistar,it will not have lens problems,Epistar help us intall the leds in Taiwan without lens.:bravo:

Thanks for the info.
I have to organise my new space before I can purchase a new one but its definitely one I'm looking at.
I will have a rectangle shaped tent about 6ft long, 3ft deep and 7ft high. What would you recommend to fill the space as mainly a bloom room? I was looking at maybe getting two mars2 models but do you think there is another that will do a better job?

Thanks I've just looked them up, looks easier than I thought. Basically the same as swapping parts inside a PC which is something I can do :)

Just checked out the YouTube videos, thanks Spart. I wouldn't have thought to look without your suggestion! :)
I can get fans free from work so I'll see what I can find.
Does it matter what type of fans or can they be anything as long as they're the right size?

Except our new model Mars Pro (II),our other models use lens.We are keeping upgrade the diodes tech, but the lens tech cannot catch up with the chips,it cause darken the diodes. But our new model will not have this problem.:goodjob:
For the new model,we start to sell from last November,we didn't receive any report about the diodes problem from our customer yet.:bravo:

You want to buy the light for your 6'x3' growing room, you need 2pcs Mars II 700,and 2pcs Mars II 900 will be better,it will cover your grow room nicely.:high-five:
Yes,change the fan is easy work,we have video for every model on youtube.:high-five:

Thanks for the recommendation, I was thinking two Mars II 900s would go nicely too.
I'm wondering if I would better off looking at the Mars ProII models instead? Its just if I have to get two its much more affordable to get the Mars II models.

What makes the MarsII models better than the Reflector models? The Reflector models look like they may cover a rectangle area better

Mars Pro II is the best light among our lights now,and you will need 3pcs Mars Pro II Epistar 160(coverage:2'x3') or Mars Pro II cre 128(coverage:2'x3').:Namaste:
:circle-of-love:Mars II and Reflector series ,both lights have their advantages:
1 The design is different:Mars II uses glass cover ,which will reduce some light. However, Reflector uses reflection board ,which will reflect maximum light back to the plants compared to MarsII.
2 Intensity is different: The gap is wider on Reflector than MarsII. So Reflector will cover more area but MarsII will have stronger intensity on average area.
3 The coverage is different.
Yeah, you are right,Mars II coverage is square,Reflector series(except Reflector 192) coverage is rectangle. But your growing room is 6'x3',you need 3pcs Reflector96 or 2pcs Mars II 700/900 to cover it.Mars II 700/900 with higher draw power compare with Reflector96.:high-five:
You can choose the right one for your plants according to your situation.:Namaste:

6x3 go with 2 900w if you went with the 700w you might end up with side lighting issues during flowering. 3 of the pro 160 would work but you'll need one hell of extraction fan for 3 of them.

Swapping the fans is quite easy, you'll just need an adapter for the new fan(s) or splice the wires, everything else is done with a phillips head screwdriver, no soldering needed.

Not sure where to get an adaptor but I can easily splice wires ;)

I was gonna say, but if ya did you'd get a free 4x4 tent!!!

but alas, you would still be short to get that deal lol

Don't think anyone can :rofl::rofl:

My mars 900 came today, really fast delivery :)

Tried it and damn, the light is stronger then i expected!

I am about to grow 4 plants in a 3x3x6 grow tent and i will veg them to 50cm and then start flower so i think they will be about 1 meter tall when finish.

Can anyone tell how much 1 plant will yield? I know it is hard to tell but what is average?

This is My first grow thats why i ask :)

tough nut to crack bluecheese.

every strain, grower, grow environment, medium, lights, temps, nute control, and so many other factors are different, that yes, it is too hard to tell.

I've had plants that I thought for sure I would clear a couple zips from and got squat. equally I've had plants that I thought I would get squat from and got flush.

Yes i understand that there is so many factors that can make a difference, but if everything is going pretty good for a first grower, is 2 Oz from 1 plant hard to score? With good High yielding seeds from lets just say for example from sensi seeds.

And if you have grow for a long time, do you now if there is quality difference from a hps light and led lights in this case a mars 900?
What light produce highest quality buds?
