Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

I recommend you go with Mars Pro II Epistar320 or Mars Pro II Cree256.They can meet the end of your needs.:bravo:
Mars Pro is with remote,it use smart-system,it's complicated to use,and there are many functions which grower may not needed.:Namaste:Mars Pro II is an economical version light we made based on the Mars Pro,no remote control, but with veg and bloom switches to control different growing modes.:high-five:
Mars Pro(II) is the best light among our lights.:cheertwo:
1 The creative reflector Cup design collects 100% of the light emitted from the LED chips giving you the most even and blended spectral output possible.:cheertwo:
2 Mars Pro doesn't add lens so as to output the complete light as much as possible and penetrate deeper.
3 It has vents around the panel, so as to dissipate the heat more effectively.
4 Upgrated power supply, fans, as well as led chips,it is with better built-up,it will last longer. :bravo:
Mars Pro
:high-five: Hello again, I just purchased a mars hydro 4 x 4 Tent and am very happy so far thank you!! my question is....you have several different units that cover a 4 x 4 area, From what i can figure out so far, I would like a par of 50 to 80 per sq. ft. haven't been able to find par ratings on the units was hoping you could help?? I am looking at the Reflector 192, MarsII 1200, Mars Pro Epistar 320 & The Mars Pro Cree256. Thanks again,
Padwonfarmer :volcano-smiley: But Im gonna be a Jedi one day!! LOL :volcano-smiley:

:high-five:
If it were me (and I have two similar 4' x4' area's) I would suggest (3) Reflector 144's which will give you 60 watts per sq. foot coverage. Having (3) 144's give you great coverage and the ability to customize your light heights for different plant heights better.

May i know your location,so i can check stock information for you before you place order.:Namaste:And i can send you a coupon code.:high-five:
I can defiantly see the advantage of having more panels!! :thumb:

USA only :Reflector 144 will back to Origional price $292.99 very soon, but it's only$234.39USD now,you can save$58.6USD.Qantity is limited,:welcome:You can place yoru order on Amazon directly without any code,it is the cheapest price we have now:cheertwo:

got 2 320's .. and i want a secondary stealth setup and 320 is just too damn big. lol
What's the noise level like on these models? Is it too loud to be stealth? I have an older model Mars300 and although it does a good job I find it is quite loud. I'm wondering if the newer models have quieter fans?

You may check the fan,or you can send email to service@mars-hydro.com,my colleague will help to diagnose it.:high-five:Usually it will not be too much noise.:high-five:
I dont believe mine is faulty, it is just a loud pc style fan. Its ok, I knew it wasn't silent when I purchased it.
I'm just wondering if the new models are quiet enough for a stealth setup?

Mars pro(II)is with the best built-up among our lights,Mars 300 is our old model. After you use it for a few month,if you find it's too noisy, you can check the fan,it may be the fan's problem:high-five:

You can always switch out the fans after your warranty is gone to a different brand/model. When the warranty is out on mine. I'm going to also redesign the outer casing/housing to allow proper airflower to the heat sinks and install two more fans and another 12v driver and move all the power supplies to outside the case giving room for the two extra fans. I will also be cutting my back panel of the housing to give more air flow onto the heat sinks. I hate the thought of using the veg only switch and not getting proper air flow over the entire heat sink.

I had thought of possibly swapping the fans however I cannot solder, nor do I have any real electronics knowledge and I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it without breaking something.
The noise isn't a big deal at the moment as it is inside of a wooden cabinet which kills 80% of the noise and sits near some other noisy pipes and stuff so its ok.
I however wish to expand and to do that I was going to use a tent which wont block the sound as well as the timber does. I will also need to buy more lights to cover the space so would be good to get some that are a bit quieter

:circle-of-love:We upgrated power supply, fans, as well as led chips for our new model. It didn't use glass cover, and we recommend our customer go with our Mars Pro II,it with better built-up,it has vents around the paneland run cooler and will last longer.:high-five:
