Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

:tokin:it's ok, Uncle.:cheesygrinsmiley: I can understand your point. It's not negative at all. I have a surprise for you in about one month.:yahoo:

Sara why don't you guys put in some wifi or blue tooth option in the new lights instead of the remote? i was just thinking about it would maybe be more reliable with n app or something like that and easier maybe to upgrade softwarewise?

Just looked at your pics and you got a real nice setup man really clean. Loving the multi chamber growspace :thumb:

thanks man and i just installed new exaust air and put up an active intake air. connected to a digital termostatcontrol makes temps when lights on stay constant at 27-28c (inside the top of canopy) when temp hits 27c air stops when it hits 28c air starts its so nice and leveled out. Now im planing on building a diy cabonfilter next month i think.

i made holes around my grow tray for better airsurculation around the roots and plants from the active air intake as well. they love it.

and im also installing a gravity feeding system next week for when growing in soil.

A humidity proof touch screen on it would be a interesting thought as well. The new vaporizers have apps with them my vaporite cosmic has one to control the temps.

That awesome you can control you smoking device with your phone. Can you share where to get such a device?

Yeah sure I got mine from the local shop. It's called the Vaporite Cosmic. The Crafty also come with similar apps. Mine goes from 160*-220* with a turn of an imaginary dial on my phone. It links up with blue tooth even came with a water bubbler all of them now have it I'll link you to the local shop for more details they do ship all over but not sure on charges for the states.

Only things I would have liked changed on my Mars 2 is the square shape and the location of the hangars.
I would prefer a rectangle shape for the lights to match room layouts. Also would prefer the hangers were in the corners instead of the middle of each side. Not important though, just my opinion.

LOL quick question I'm planning on upgrading my craptastic cfl in a few weeks to a 400w mars 2 and was wondering what kind of exhaust y'all would recommend right now I have a 187m3/h winflex t100 not sure if this will be enough for the 400w. My tent is 60 x 60 x 140cm vented into another room with maybe a meter of traveling between the fan and outside pretty much straight into the air and out. Tent is located in a room with the ambient temp of about 18* constantly threw out the year.

Howdy Mates,
I`m an Old School (400 W) grower with very limited space. My ceiling height is only 4ft tall. I normally grow 5 plants at a time and avg 10-11 zips which isn`t great, but, the ends do justify the means..
I have been reading this Forum regarding Mars LED and i`m ready to give it a shot. Whats the best way to grow? Should I buy the Mars 300W TrueWatt 140W±5% LED? Or can someone point me in the right direction. Thank You in Advance.

I have a 400 in the same space. You should be fine. I can almost run mine without the exhaust (for heat) :peace:

Thank brother man good to know as of right now my cfl is sitting so close to my plants that it's hard to even get a fan blowing in there driving me crazy... for seedlings it's a nightmare as well since it dries out the soil real quick. It's like I got a 10cm of area i need to cool down with a 300w cfl.

You'd love the reflector series then. Rectangles, corner hooks, same led's as II series but with added reflectors.

Many Thanks going to Mars-Hydro CoCo and Sara for my new 200x3 holiday give away light. Arrived today packaged well and working perfectly its going to add much to my all Led grow system. Presently using 4 100w e27screw ins at 5000k for veg they work VERY well bagged all CFLs because they suck by comparison. For flowering I'm using 3 Mars-Hydro 60x5 units and they are great and produce excellent bud. Not sure yet how I'm going apply the 600w panel yet maybe 2x2 scrog.

I love Mars-Hydro and I am a real person.!!

some pics of my Dark Dragon SCROG at week 4 under the new Mars Pro Epistar 160 LED. Great coverage and penetration so far

I'm getting ready to buy a pair of mars 300s and i just wanted to ask anyone that has experience with them how they are as far as heat. I am in a constant battle with keeping my temps under control so my reservoir temp doesn't get too high. I know you run temps a little higher with leds (low 80s if I'm not mistaken) but would i need stronger exhaust ventilation than a 6 inch 400cfm duct fan or would that be good enough. I would go with an inline fan but my girl would not be pleased with a jet turbine whining in the bedroom. She is sketchy enough about the two little pc fans that i run sometimes. lol thanks in advance for any info anyone can provide. BTW my tent is 3"x2"x5 1/2".
