Hey 420 Friends ...Got some Bad news ... I just had a shock of my life .. .received a paper from fedex saying customs invoice ... they looked at the Led at the german costums ... The LED that i won here ... I already paid 40 Euro for shipping ... now they want me to pay another 28 Euro ... which makes is a total of 68Euro and on German Ebay i could buy a completley new light for 5 Euro more and the light i won here wasnt new for sure it was very dirty ... so yea my Win wasnt that good hahah !! Suucks Big Time !! and at first when i read Customs Invoice i thought that they found the seeds I ordered lol ... Not funny at all ... Now i have to drive to the other city to their station and talk to them and pay them in cash and prolly explain what i need the light for ... I know Its not MarsHydros fault ... But Im still angry and wanted to share my anger lol ..So yea thats my story for today .. have a nice weekend guys
 
:laughtwo: Haha, flexy, to be honest, I like the work attitude of German. Our new stock to Germany has been under customs clearance for almost two weeks.
ARGH!!! Tell me about it..German customs are HORRIBLE....

When I moved back to Germany I shipped my old, at that time already very outdated PC per mail from the US. (Obviously I didn't want to take it on the plane).

I had to pay like €80 or so customs/fee....and needless to say had to drive somewhere to pick it up.

Before that, my GF sent me a gift package containing trivial things like coffee, candy etc. I had to fricking drive to customs office IN Berlin where they OPENED the fricking package...and then I explained to them what this or that is..."hey yeah that's coffee filters".... I was so pissed off.

I think it's a random thing when they check shipments...but yeah I guess since they shipped the prizes from China...unlike when you buy actual lights which they stock in Germany so there is no problems with customs. Sorry dude ;( Problem is, a large package like a grow light is difficult to declare as a "gift" just worth $10 or so (which would save you the hassles), especially since the packet already says what's in it....so the chances for having to pay customs are high ;(

So have a question? Tomorrow I have to do some moving around and my girls will be without light for about 5-8 hours when they usually have light. You think I'll be ok and they won't herm?

is there no supplement lighting you could provide em doesn't even have to be a bright light just some light will do the trick

If its a one off thing they should be alright. If you are really worried about them you could always change the timer on the lights so the lights come on at the new time when you want to switch the lights back on but I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi SmokeSara. I have a question regarding the mars I old style 600w 200 x 3w Leds as I cant seem to find the technical specifications for them anywhere. They don't even stock them on ebay anymore as all the mars hydro 600w Leds are now with the 5w chips.
I know you said the actual draw power for them is 230w but I would like to know if these have secondary lenses and at what angle ? Thanks in advance.

update shot of some little buds already coming in. This White Widow flowers fast. It has not even been 2 full weeks of 12/12 yet and already looking amazing. The pic is of the flowers under the HPS and Mars ll 1200.

Man I don't know if it's the coco nutes or the led but these babies are developing fast. I am really impressed. I have a few grows under my belt and to get the buds where they are now it usually takes 4+ weeks and a extra week for transition. I have grown similar strains that where nowhere near these. I will give it to the led and coco because I have grown with the Nutes before. I am so stoked to see my end results with both the 400w HPS and Mars ll 1200 in my 3.3x3.3x7 tent. Temps stay around 73-78 when lights on and 70-75 when off. RH is 40-45%

You can also file a grievance with your credit card for not receiving the item you'll need to print out every correspondence you've had with mars hydro and any emails you've sent to ups or whatever company was used to send the light. But before that you should try to contact ups yourself and see what they say they might be able fix it or give you the value of the item.

This is what my credit card says on the issue of missing items.

2. UPS Package Search

5. Claim Paid
Once a claim has been approved, the payment will be processed. UPS will pay the lesser of purchase or replacement costs, up to the declared value. Typically, claim checks are mailed to the shipper's billing address on file three to five business days after UPS receives the required documentation.
In the event the claim is not approved for payment, UPS will contact the shipper.
Note: All claims are subject to the terms of the UPS Tariff/Terms and Conditions of Service.

Please forgive me if I have misread/misunderstood but if I am correct you believe that it was sent to the wrong address because you entered the address linked to your credit card (the old address) as billing address and Mars or whoever has replaced the shipping address (your new one) with the billing address?

First of all personally it seems risky to me to have a previous address still linked to a credit card? Isn't it possible that confidential information such as statements from bank etc could also be sent to that address? For me, that would be one of the first things I updated when changing address.

I do however see where you are coming from as to it being fairly pointless having shipping and billing address fields if the billing address will override the shipping so I can see how you have come to believe it could be human error. Also the requests to go to the address to get the package do seem fairly outrageous if human error (not on your end) was indeed the issue.

Anyway, all the best, shame your grow got off to this start.


YES narrator!! This is exactly what I believe has occurred in my situation. It might be risky but I've never had a problem with my bank or credit card so so far I'm not worried. Although I do see where you're coming from, but I do all of my banking from my phone app including receiving statements electronically. Yeah I didn't agree with that either.

Do you have a journal man I would love to watch how that light preforms.
trying out some autos under my small 48x5 mars panels by far the best results with autos so far out of the tree times i have tried the autoflowers. this is growth in seven days :D just with the bacis nutes from the GHE tripack. gro micro and bloom

hi man thanks for your interest. But nope i only keep journals on my pc. i have a tendense to forget my journals i post for some time so they get i bit abandoned so its just out of respect to people on the site i don't make journals anymore. i do make them but only on my pc but i keep a very exact journal at all times so i could post a final journal when done and complete if you like to see the results. if you PM me a short note about it i will remember to give you a poke when i put up a journal about them. i will proberly also post the sesults in here. so you could also keep an open eye in here. :D

its not auto but this is from one of the last grows had a bit of spidermites issues from my garden tomatoes and stuff but they still got pretty desent. the small one was white widow 13 inch and i got 56 dry of it big one 105 or something like that plus trim and popcorn buds.
