Mars Hydro Grow Journal TS 3000: Now Growing Original Genetics White Widows, Purple Skunk Mass x Grape Krush Clones & CBD Autos

Honestly right now I just stick cuttings in a solo cup of coco. Just keep them moist and they’ll root. I’m getting 80% success in the straight coco.
Hey Penny, can you divulge your process? Do you soak the coco with pH water first? Do you add nutrients? How often do you water?

Things like that. I've got to find a better way of doing things.

All my best,
~Magnus

No nutrient added, the cutting doesn’t have roots. I ph to 5.8 or so. Tap water is all I use. You can use a rooting gel or powder. Just keep the coco moist not wet.

Inside Grow - Day 13

And so Day 13 begins.

I'm so thrilled with this grow. It is the first time my plants have grown so well. Hell, who knows? I might yet get the hang of this one day yet@

So letd take a look-see, shall we?

So there you have it - my inside grow of regular seeds. But they're all growing so well that I would just be tickled pink if they were all females....

And this is one of the original Bubba Kush clones which is finally showing signs of life.

So that's all I have to show you today, folks. Just some dumb, ol' plants.

:yahoo:   :yahoo:

But however dumb or old, I'm still pretty proud of these babies.

Hope you enjoyed the pics!

All my best,

Wanna check out my outside seedlings?

Be forewarned... we have had only rain and cold days since these germinated seeds were popped in the ground, so they are a little small it seems to me. And they are autos, too, so their day count is important.

There is everything now. All my plants. The BK seem to be doing pretty well in their new homes. I can see quite steady growth though it may be hard for you to see.

I know I should be more selective about how many pics I show but I'm like a proud Pappa wanting to show off pics of his offspring. Or is that pushing it?

So be well my friends.

Nice looking plants. I’ve got a Bubba Kush that’s a week old. She’ll be outside with the rest of my plants until harvest time.

Beautiful! I'm really enjoying having nursed these three clones to life. I doubt the one with the rhubarb crowding it will survive. I have been thinking of repotting him into one of my totes.

But bringing yours outside is a great idea. Depending on where you live it is probably too late to plant her outside, so you'll probably have to keep her in a pot so you can put her under lights. Depending on where you live, of course.

And thanks for speaking up. Its ALWAYS wonderful to hear new voices.

Welcome to the journal.

We havent met before, have we? I will feel like SUCH an idiot if so.

I have my plants in 5 & 7 gallon pots. Right now they get about 10 hours of direct sunlight. Now that they are outside, they will stay and get only sunlight. I’m not set up to grow indoors. I had them under a 60W equivalent, 5000K, 800 lumes regular house LED light for only about the first week.

I guess it’s too early to harvest rhubarb for pies?

And no, we haven’t met before, but we have now. :ganjamon: :yahoo::ciao:

A summer storm blew across the prairies two nights ago.

And not just any summer storm but one of the strongest storms I have ever encountered in my lifetime.

The wind raged. The thunder was deafening and the lightening just as frightening. At one point I wondered if my windows would break. But the rain was the worst...

The storm bore down upon us with a strange ferocity and the rain its agent of destruction. Usually rain begins with a spattering. A gentle shower that increases in intensity over the course of time. Not this rain. This rain started out intense. And only got more intense.

When it first started I thought we were being hailed upon. But a quick check through the window denied this. Then it intensified to the point that visibility was down to inches - are armed resoinsdd off
That's all. I'm so thankful I wasnt driving at the time.

So I checked my outside autos first thing when the rain finally stopped yesterday afternoon. Poor things.

On at least three of them, the torrential downpour ripped their second set of leaves away from their stalks completely, leaving these plants with only their cotylodon leaves left intact.

So my question is this: If this is the case with an mj plant is it at all likely that the plant will outs out their third set of leaves right away to compensate for their other loss of leaves, thereby allowing the plant to live?

Is that likely?

I guess I'm going to know for certain soon enough, though the forecast warns of rain now for the next two days and I expect they would need some sunlight for this miracle to happen.

I dont have outs yet but will post them later today.

I am really concerned with all this cold and rainy weather. They should be much larger, stronger by this time.

Especially for autos...

The clones look great. One of thos Bubba Kush in particular seem like they will be a good height before flipping them into flower by hand. I'm quite looking forward to seeing what they produce.

But the indoor plants, my Purplrme Skunk Mass x Grape Gkrush and my Grape Krush ate doing beautifully. They really are. They are a very nice size for their age (being only 14 days old). They are showing excellent development. Looks like I'll be buying some 6 gallon pots very soon. I only wish I had money for some of those Geo Pots, I think they are called. I know they work excellently because my buddy uses them. And...they are one of our sponsors. But even if they werent a sponsor I would highly recommend them from having seen what they can produce.

So shall we take a look-see this morning?

So those are my plants from that gifted seed. I'm just proud like a mother dog.

So let's see a few of the viable clones, shall we?

These are all Bubba Kush clones.

This one definitely has roots, so much so that they are coming out the bottom of this small pot I noticed.

Hi again.

Thus one also has great root development oozing from the pot.
15923168500341194373415007999268.jpg

So those are all of my viable clones I have to work with. My buddy, Roy, says he has more for me if I want. I'm not sure if I'll take him up on it. With my three clones already outside. I've got 13 plants. I'm allowed 16 altogether (12 for my prescription and 4 I am allowed for being Canadian citizen). So that means I am allowed 3 more, but I have four already. Plus the six from gifted seeds and I've got a got a total of 13 outdoor plants and 10 indoor ones, totalling 23 plants - way over my legal limit. That is seven plants over the legal limit. That's a lot in the eyes of the local R.C.M.P. dispatch.

Plus, besides, though it is fun to grow, I really dont need as much weed as that. Well, maybe with making topical oils I will need a lot more than I think, and I think I desperately need topical to deal with this fibromyalgia pain. Strong tropicals. And since 10 of those plants are CBD plants, I surely want some recreational bud, too. So maybe this isnt way too much. Sometimes I think I go overboard in how much weed I plant!

:rofl::yahoo::rofl::yahoo::rofl::yahoo:

Besides, three of my CBD Solomatic plants might die within days. Though I dont want to see that happen it would free up some space for a few of these clones...

So there you have it. I'll try to snap some photos of the damaged plants, at least, by later today. Right now I've got some work to attend to.

All my best,
~Magnus

We got the full front of the storm down here. Check out my journal for a few pics. sorry about the autos but the inside girls look good.
Thanks, Smokey.

Hi all. Hope everyone is doing great!

I'm not sure if it is acceptable to be posting to my journal daily, but I have very little else to do during my days. Besides, I'm really proud of this grow. Unlike my last aborted attempt, things are mostly growing well.

As for the outdoor autos...this spring has NOT been conducive to growing autos outdoors. But though all of my plants sure could use some hot sunshine beating down upon them, only 3 have actually been damaged by the storm that passed by the other night. Two of them lost one of their first regular leaves but still have the other attached. One poor plant has lost both its first regular leaves leaving only the cotylodon leaves still attached. I had trouble seeing clearly, but it appears that two new leaves might be growing to replace the ones that have been lost due to the rain. Time will tell, I suppose, whether any of these 3 plants will survive but I am an impossible optimistic.

The outside clones are doing quite well. Except for the one in which the rhubarb has intruded. It is definitely lagging behind. I keep cutting back the rhubarb leaves to all this Bubba Kush clone to get some sunshine but I'm not sure that will be enough. Again, time will tell. However the other two clones are doing splendidly.

So let's move onto my houseplants. No, not my rhododendron, either.

Actually I have no rhododendrons in our out if my home. Just my Indian Rope Pkant that I love so much.

But I'm talking about my Purple Skunk Mass x Grape Krush plants and my Grape Krush plants.

So this is my PSM x GK #1.

GK #3 again. Please look at the leaves. Something is wrong. I think in my attempts not to overwater that I might be under watering. And thoughts?

I'm really thinking this might be water deficiency, but do any of you have input?

So that's my grandstand for the day. I have some work to do so I must sign off now. I hope you all are keeping well and I look forward to your comments.

All my best,
~Magnus

Agreed a out the up potting. I just have to wage
The little autos may bounce back, give them a little time. The rest look really good. About time to up pot for sure.
Agreed, but first I have to declare war on my porch so I can get to my fabric pots. I'm not exactly sure what size they are. Havent laid eyes on them in two years though I know exactly where they are.

If they arent big enough then I'll have to buy some extra pots to use. I've already got two quite large pots but that is all.

But yes, you are correct. They need to be repotted.

I actually weigh my plants on a scale before and after watering. I use the initial weight of the pot/soil/plant, like when you plant or transplant, as my base line. By weighing it after a few days, I can then tell if it’s time to water or wait another day. I also keep track of how much water each plant takes to get 10%-20% runoff. That way I know how much/many nutes and water I need to mix up. I do this from day 1 to harvest.

Also, ya need to fish or cut bait. What’s more important, the Bubba Kush or the rhubarb? Although I do love a good rhubarb pie. :ganjamon:
