Mars Hydro Grow Journal TS 3000: Now Growing Original Genetics White Widows, Purple Skunk Mass x Grape Krush Clones & CBD Autos

the light I want and would probably work nice in your space. Budget led series 3 500watt but probably be $1000 Canadian or more. That's why I don't have one. Or maybe Mars hydro. If decide on a brand you want reach out to them for advise on the one best to suit you.
Yep. That's a great idea. Will do so.

Everyone: do both Budget LED and Mars Hydro have great customer service and warranties? I've heard good things about both of these companies but want to be sure to get good service for my purchase. Of course, like everything in my life...my wallet will probably take precedence when determining who I but from.

All my best,
~Magnus

Another thing to consider is budget is made in the USA. Mars Hydro made in China. I have a hard time supporting a communist country that had oppressed it people for as long as I can Remember Now they have just put Hong Kong under communist rule. They have always been free in Hong Kong that's all over. Never mind all the covid shit going on.

Ok rant over I feel better:bongrip:

Good Sunday Morning, everybody!

It's raining very steadily today. Might clear up a bit in the afternoon, I dont know. Note to self: check weather for next few days online.

So I've got some great pics to show today that PROOVE, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I can germinate seeds successfully. These'll be my inside plants I show you today. I still have to check my autos outside but with how cold it has been I don't expect much from them until we have a hot, sunny day someday soon.

So my Purple Skunk Mass x Grape Krush are all doing just as well as my Grape Krushs I have started. They all look pretty much the same at this point. One set of good leaves (cotylidon leaves - yes, I know that is misspelled but I dont have a clue how to spell that word. But I'm sure y'all know what I mean.) plus a strong healthy stalk. Perfectly poised for some disaster of my own making!

I hope not this time.

I've been thinking of moving my inside plants (six of them) outside during the days for the next few months. I'd like them to get sunshine and to grow as much in it as possible. I just believe that sunshine is better for my plants than any inside lamp I could afford no matter how hard I tried.

But today it is just pissing buckets of rain here, probably across the whole of the prairies are like this today. Do the baby plants are staying inside.

Mind you, I ain't setting any plants at all outside until I get a table to put the plants on top of. Not chancing Richard's dog getting into my house plants again and destroying them all like he did to my last plants.

So let's take a look, shall we: (yippee! This is my favourite part!)

First of all, we will look at Purple Skunk Mass x Grape Krush #1 (PSM x GK #1). A real little beauty. Because one parent is called a Purple, I'm wondering if I'm going to get some colorful foliage this grow. Wouldn't that be nice?

It was easy to look up Grape Krush on Leafly but I could find nothing about Purple Skunk Mass, making me wonder if this is already a homespun cross of genetics. Looking very much forward to growing sll these seeds out. And though they are all regular seeds I'm working with for my inside grow, I've been lucky enough that all six of my regular seeds whispered in my ear that they were all female seeds! So I'm glad of that!

Ok. Enough blather. On to the pics...

That is actually one of my favourite photos of Porkchop (RIP). Now just how did that get in there?

:yahoo: :rofl::yahoo:

Ok. Here is the plant. No foolin'.

So that's my GK #2. Next is my GK #3.

So they are all doing quite fine, no? I think so. I have so far given them only one feeding of nutes. I wont let what happened last time happen again, that's for sure. Ever. I was so mortally embarrassed by that oversight on my part.

So I've fed once with Remo nutes. They are five days old today and they all popped on the same day. So that day count is accurate for every single one. So they are much too young for a second feeding in one week. Today they will just get a trickle of water to wet their whistle.

I've only been watering with a trickle of water at a time. This seems to be working out well. My growing buddy, Roy, tells me to water only around the outside of their pots to force their roots to grow, but i think these plants are too young yet for that kind of training. It is my experience that the roots will find their way to the edges of the small pot on their own. That's how they get root bound. Maybe when they are older, but not right yet. (Roy is the guy who always gives me a mix of both good and bad advice but is convinced I must follow his instructions to the letter if I want to produce any kind of a crop. Roy is often wrong, but he will never admit it. And besides, I dont enjoy following orders. Suggestions I am fine with, but not orders.)

Anyway, today they get a watering. Straight RO H²0. Nothing fancy.

Hey, you know those tomato spikes you can buy as nutrients for your tomatoes? Someone aught to develop a similar system for cannabis. You stick in this spike for weeks 1 to 3, this one for weeks 4 - 8, another one for beginning of flowering, etc. Seems like a very simple way to deliver toned resources to the plant. And at the end of a certain number of weeks you pull the old one out and replace with the next one for this particular stage.

Wish I knew something more about how to produce something like this. I'd do it myself!

Anyway, have a few more pics to show you:

This is my basket of dead and slowly dying clones. All the clones I'm about to show you are Bubba Kush clones. They seem to be particularly difficult to clone but I dont know why. All of these clones are taken from the same mother Bubba Kush.

Actually, there seems to be a couple of viable ones in here too.
20200607_083018.jpg

So if you look closely you can see a couple which look visble. I will be planting one or two of these plants outside. The rest that live I will attempt to grow in my tent along with my seedlings.

These next two pics are of clones that seem to be doing better than the rest. For sure these are going into the ground outside once this infernal rain stops.

20200607_083058.jpg

Well, the system will only allow me to upload 10 pics so I'll drop that last pic into a post just below this.

One thing I'm wondering is why the purple leaves on the Bubba Kush. Do they always have purple leaves at such a young stage? I'd better research this strain more thoroughly.

So comments are always appreciated. Your advice and supports and comments are invaluable to me. So with that said, I bid you adieu.

All my best,
~Magnus

Be sure to check out that other pic below!

No it's not a rant! I feel the same way about Chinese products and is the very reason I refuse to vacation in Cuba. I've had many chances to go to that country because my late father married a Cuban woman but I refused to go there to spend my money while meeting her and waited until she visited Canada to meet the woman. Not that I had a problem with her but with her government's punitive regime.

I'm fully on your side with this one.

Raining here to the seedlings look healthy. Pork chop do cute. Heres Rosie
IMG_20200606_083241.jpg
Awwww. Rosie is beautiful! Thanks so much for showing me.

All my best,

I think she's cute and probably one of the smartest dogs I've ever had. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
Intelligence is always a good thing. It is bad when it is put to destructive purposes, like building atomic bombs or learning how to tip over the garbage. Okay, each of those bad things is on a different scale, but if Rosie begins tacking up pages out of "The Anarchist's Handbook" then I'd begin to worry!

Not really sure why I am updating my journal except out of boredom. But my seedlings are definitely doing well and growing like they should - like weeds. They are all showing their second set of leaves quite significantly and their stalks are noticeably longer. I'm not sure if you can see the lengthened stalks as much as I can because most of the pics are taken from a slightly top view. Hence you wont see the lengthened stalks as easily as I can.

Let's take a look, shall we?

Oopsie! Now how did this photo of little Porkchop (RIP) sleeping in the cabinet get in there? You know, I still miss him so much that it is still excruciatingly painful to think about him.

This is GK #1.

This is GK #2.

And this is GK #3.

There you have all the seedlings. Remember, these are not feminized seeds. They are hand pollinated regular seeds gifted to me by a friend who I am very grateful to for the kind gift. I still have two of each strain to pop at a later time.

Shall we visit our clones? I didnt photograph the basket of clones today because they look mostly as they did the other day. I wish I had some mychorrizae to mix into the top of their little pots but I used all I had getting my outdoor plots ready with supersoil. Alas, none for my little clones today. Over the next few days I'm going to clean out that basket and toss the dead and weaker clones, concentrating my efforts on the strong ones. Once I do that I will give them all a repotting with some good supersoil in there. Then I'll assign numbers to the ones I'll keep and try growing them out in the tent with the seedlings. All clones are Bubba Kush and were gifted to me by a friend. Here they are:

20200607_104321.jpg

Well, now, THAT is Greta, in from playing in the rain. It has been pissing rain here for over 2 days. I plant my CBD germinated seeds and then it rains and is friggin' cold for over 2 days! I'll go out and check on them later today but so far today I haven't even gotten dressed!

20200608_115629.jpg

This one is clearly doing better than the other day. Makes me all warm and squishy deep inside.

20200608_115718.jpg

And this is my second clearly viable clone.

Has anyone grown Bubba Kush before? Do they characteristically have purple leaves in with their green? I don't think this really looks like a nute deficiency but thought I should ask before I destroy these plants. If no one knows then I might see if I can find anything about it on Leafly. But if anyone knows I'd really appreciate your input.

So, with all that said, now I just have to continue sitting here, waiting for my lawyer to call. I've got a landlord issue I need a lawyer to deal with. I hate crap like this. Why dont landlords just act like regular people rather than puffing themselves up and thinking they have a say in how you run your life just because you rent from them?

All my best,
~Magnus

They look healthy, the purple on the Bubba isn’t normal for the strain. As long as it isn’t spreading I wouldn’t do anything yet. New growth looks good. Greta looks happy as a lab can be. Lol

Three of my Solomatic autos have popped through the soil! I'm so excited. 3 very tiny little fragile plants.

We had a relatively warmish day today. I think that's why they finally popped. At least they haven't all drowned with all this rain.

We've got at least a few more warm days ahead so I expect to see another eight pop up over the next two days.

Whoopie! We're on the way!

I didnt take any pics because they were so small. Thought I'd get more pics tomorrow after more of them have popped.

All my best,
~Magnus

Sometimes we get off to a rough start early.
I told you your Luck would change. :high-five:
Yes but talk about a rough start this spring!

I feel quite proud of bringing all my seeds to this point already.

I planted two more Bubba Kush clones this morning. That makes three so far. Plus 10 Solomatic seeds. That's my outdoor grow this year.

I've also got the six PSM x GK and the GK seeds to work with inside. I also have a few Bubba Kush clones that appear to have taken root successfully. I was thinking of putting my clones in the closet with my two old LED lights that are unable to produce flowers. I thought that these lights are fine for vegging. Right now, there is enough room in the tent to have all six seedlings plus the clones, but as the seedlings grow I'm going to have less and less available light for my plants. I've got one 1000w LED in my tent, hardly enough to fully flower out my seedlings which will be close to full grown, and my clones that I have now.

So I'll put the clones in the "vegging closet" while the seedlings flower. However, if I can pick up a couple more lights for the tent then I should have room to grow them all out together, increasing my one-time harvest.

Then itll be drop a few more seeds and rinse and repeat.

So thank you both for your encouragement. I have been feeling so damned embarrassed about my earlier attempts to grow this summer. But we get out our seeds and begin again. Ain't that right?

All my best to you both,
~Magnus
