Maine 4-Season Greenhouse Grow

I would think 5' would be tall enough. I haven't grown any autos that tall. I've read a lot of journals, and have found a couple growers getting autos taller, but that might be down the road. If it wasn't tall enough, you could always use it to veg in.
My thoughts as well.

And just like THAT...summer grow season is over. I was trying to wait until Tuesday (kids back in school) to harvest the ATF and I looked at it this morning and overnight the rot had doubled. Same for the Stankberry. So I harvested those and the ATF clone in a busy day of trimming and washing. The Stankberry made me sad because she had pretty fat buds and I am sure they would have doubled. The rot got almost half of the colas (insert crying emoji). She was super sticky as well.

So thanks for joining me on this exciting summer of ravaging caterpillars and ass kicking humidity and rot. Looking forward to a quiet little auto tent grow for the winter....

They can get pretty big once you get them in 7-10 gallon softpots.
I use 7-galloms and usually top mine...so far they have been less than 3' high for me. I kind of like the smaller tent just in case I need to stick it our laundry room.

Yep time to fire up the lights. :yahoo:
I need a few weeks to get ready for winter (also stacked 2 cords of wood today after trimming for 6 hours!) and the plan is to erect the tent Dec 1 in the Cottage (guests there through Thanksgiving). I have it for growing until April 15, so that is plenty of time for an auto harvest and start my seedlings for 2019 summer.

You could pull off some nice photos in that time.
Probably, but I'm lazy and I like that I can leave it on 18/6 and just water them and gaze at something green and growing in the dead of winter. I still feel like I want to figure out photos in the summer and since my autos were ok this summer, i want to see if I can improve on them under lights. I am thinking DDA and maybe Skunk....

Looks like Vivosun "sold out" (from their website and the Zon) on their 4x4 tents...scratching my head...anyone use the 2x4' or is that too low @ 5'? I plan to use it for autos only (and possibly seedlings) so that may work for me. Thoughts?
I have their 2x4 as well and works great for me for a smaller veg tent. Very good quality tent for the price.

5 foot is confining in my opinion. When I grow an auto it gets big even with topping and lst. I would say go with it but only if necessary.

Good job Blew, nice watching and learning. It's tent villa now for me too.

I have only grown 2 autos....but both stayed very small in height. I think 14-16 inches, maybe 18 total from the top of the pot. So from my limited experience with autos in soil is they don't get real tall. The autos I have seen grown in hydro tend to be much taller.

Just out of curiousity, could you run a 5'x5' Blew? Do you have the space for that. Cause lets be honest here.....generally whatever space you think will work, always ends up being not enough. Look at your GH this year! Not enough room and you are planning to expand to a bigger spot. My recommendation as someone who started in a 4x4, added a 2x2, then a 2x4, and who will be moving up to a 10'x10' for flowering.......always get more than you think you might want or need (assuming you have a spot for it to fit). Eliminates upgrading.....especially if you know that growing indoors is something you will want to continue to do. Cheers brother!:passitleft:

Damn Blew...that RH was brutal for you this year brother. I am really hoping that next year will let you finish them properly. Hopefully we will have some more strains for you to try next year!

On a side note....what was the Stankberry and ATF smelling like for you? Everyone else's ATF has been smelling drastically different from mine. Just curious.

I've found Sensi Seeds Skunk has been the best so far.
Everything I have run from Sensi has been great. I added their Skunk #1 and Super Skunk to my basket last night. I have a few different skunk strains from other breeders, but I have been digging the quality and yields from Sensi seeds so I am going to use them as the baseline to compare other versions. Reasonably priced for them as well. Their Skunk#1 is less than 40 bucks for 10 regs at Seedsman. And the Super Skunk is less than 60 for 10......so very reasonably priced. They aren't autos.
