Way to go Blew. Good luck. Gretsky the crap out of them. I agree with you on the high prices. I have to wonder what the life of a cheap tent vs an expensive one is. I know it's nice to have the best zippers and material, but is it going to really last a whole lot longer? I wonder how long folks actually keep a Gorilla in service?
People are tougher on them in reviews because, for the added cost, their expectations seem higher. For me, now, and what I need the smaller, cheaper Vivosun is perfect.
I have a cheap one and take care of it. I can tell the zipper is a weak link so I care for it. Any rub areas I cushion up. We'll see but I think It's going to run it's worth easily. It's got 4 grows through it and if it craps out tomorrow, look what it's done for me and the Ms. I do think it's got another 4 grows in it.
You can spray zippers on the cheap tents with silicon and it will slid like the expensive ones.
Very happy with my 2 Vivosun tents, especially for the price!
Check Amazon for the same tent as the Vivosun under a different brand name. I was looking for a 2x4 tent recently and found the same tent listed under a different name for $20 less. I ended up with a 3x3 for $51 shipped.
