Thanks, man! I appreciate it. The tent was a bitch to set up. Don't know if they all come like this, but the fabric part came in one piece, and I couldn't figure out which way was up, which way was front, which way was down, freakin' mess. I finally got the frame together and got the fabric over it, and it was upside down and backwards for where I needed the door to be. The entire room is only 6.5 feet wide, and the tent is 5 feet wide, so turning it around and over upside down meant taking the support bars inside (which were all in two pieces) apart from each other and letting the tent collapse while I was inside it, then scramble out and twist and turn and roll it over and oh my gawd! What a fuckin' mess!

But I got 'er done.

Yeah, I'm psyched. I love the thing. Can't wait to move my baby girls inside it, but have to wait for about 2 weeks until I can get the automatic feeder built. At least, that's the plan, anyway.

My wife-bot is the mechanic/masterbuilder/handyperson around the house. This is what she's planning on building for me:

1) A very large tray on the floor, or a series of trays. This tray is inclined from one corner down to another corner so liquids gather in that one corner.

2) A very short frame holding a galvanized steel (a light one, but sturdy) flat.

3) On top of this galvanized steel top, sits the four 5-gallon fabric pots with the plants.

4) above this, attached to the frames of the tent, sits the elastic scrog that I put pics of on my journal tonight.

5) A 5-gallon pail sits on the floor beside it all, holding the nutes/water.

6) A timed pump pumps nutes/water from this resevoir into the fabric pots 4x per day.

7) The water drains out of the fabric pots from all sides and the bottom onto the galvanized steel sheet, where it drains into the tray below the short table.

8) Another timed pump pumps the runoff back into the resevoir.

9) The system rests and begins again several hours later.

Kush had some great ideas for it, so it might not be exactly as I've written it up there. But that's the basic idea. Apparently, it's a common enough thing to do with plants. There's even a name for it: Flood and Drain. I must sound so naive to all of you on here, but please understand that this is my first time doing this. I've never had anything to do with gardening or agriculture before, so I'm a real newbie. Please understand. And don't think badly of me for it.

Weather is supposed to be 6 degrees above zero Celsius for the next couple of days. For you Americans, that's 6 degrees above the freezing point of water. In other words, it's supposed to be VERY nice!

And Hempfest is coming up on March 11&12, and I've decided to take my ass and drive the 2 hours into Edmonton to go for the 11th. I'm trying to convince my nephew to come with me. He just got licensed medically for 2 grams per day of cannabis, and I'd like him to agree to let me grow for him. I could use the cash, that's for sure. I don't know if he'll go for it. He's very private and kinda weird. He hasn't even told me he's been licensed already, hasn't told me he was trying, even though he knows I'm about to be licensed. But I"m hoping that if we go to Hempfest together one thing in conversation will lead to another, etc etc.

Anyway, it's time for me to eat my bedtime cookies and go to sleep. Hope you're all sleeping with the angels.

Good morning, all.

Had a break down this morning. Got up, and everythign thing was going shitty. Couldn't get my mac towork (it's dying a real quick death), fell asleep while feeding my demented little girls (yes, i'm that exhausted), couldn't find the coffee to make it (wife-bot had moved it to another cupboard) etc etc etc. I think the real reason I had my breakdown was the events of 2 nights ago. Whatever the reasons, I suddenly started crying, real loud, almost kind of wailing. It was weird. Woke the wife-bot up it was so loud, so we spent some time talking. Not resolving stuff, never resolving shit, but at least talking about what is happening inside of me. Who knows where this will go, eh?

On a much more positive note, my babies seem to have taken well to their transplant. My damaged Big Bud doesn't seem to be growing yet, but I'm sure she will, yet. She's apparently losing one of her damaged leafs, and I'm wondering if I should pinch it off or not. Any ideas on that? There's a pic of it, but I'm afraid it's terribly underexposed. Stupid phone camera... But if you can see it, can you please comment on whether or not I should just pinch it off? Why have it there if all it is doing is draining evergy as it dies. On the other hands,s he's so damned small...

But the other plants seem to be growing, thriving even. I'm happy. My 2 pineapple expresses are doing wonderfully. And my other big bud seems to be limping along behind. But still coming along.

So, without out further verbal drivel, here they are. 2 pics of each.

This is my damaged little girl. Can you see her drooping leaf? That's the one that seems to be dying. Should I pinch it off?

This is my first Pineapple Express. Loving life, and dreaming of a great future for herself. Little does she know what I have in store for her... chop chop chop chop!!!

And this is the contraption that my wife rigged up to hold my fan up in the closet. It's quite wonderful. Offers a counterbalance to the fan. Steadies it. And provides a strong, sturdy space to clip the fan and it can be moved across the various length of the bar. I love it.

Gotta love it man I have a handy wife myself! They are an invaluable part of every grow .

Just purchased my second light from Ebay.ca!!!!

It's a 1000w LED from the same company I purchased my other 600w LED from.

This means I can set up my perpetual grow as soon as it gets here (by Feb 9 2017, though my 600w came sooner than expected. Coming from China.).

I'll have a cloning area on my desk with CFLs, the 600w LED closet, and the tent for scrogging/flowering with the 1000w LED.

I'm so excited. And I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!

So that's it. I'm about to be really, really well set up to grow weed.

What I don't know is how many plants I can grow like this? I'm limited by the scrog, I know that. How many plants can I comfortably have underneath a 4x4 scrog? Anyone know? I was thinking four, but maybe five or six? Whadda ya' all think?

I looked at them and found him too, my concern would be how long will they last and warranty too and how much red and blue is in them??

You can easily contact the seller and ask him those questions. They've been very good with replying to me. It's a full-spectrum light, so I imagine they've got adequate for our needs. Seems to be doing fine for my plants, but they're only in early veg stage, mind you.

It's Ebay. Remember that. I don't think you get much of a warranty (2 years, I think, but don't quote me). Mind you, for the price you pay, you can afford to replace them at will whenever you want. It's not a Kind light, but it's NOT a Kind light price, either!

One great thing is that they run very, very cool. No problems at all with heat, and won't be any in the summer, either.

Yeah they are cheap for sure i could buy 6 np's but if they do not maximize full growth then its pointless to buy them.

Thats my issue i want to see evidence first on full growth.

yeah ebay warranty i know.

So, buy however many you can afford and hang 'em all around. You'll maximize full growth and then some.

About the repotting, what I do is make sure that the coco has been saturated (not soaked) with PH adjusted water and some calmag at 1/4 strength. Then when you transplant the ladies into their pots, you will want to soak them with ph adjusted nutrients at 1/4 strength as soon as you place them into the pots. Make sure they get good runoff and you're set.

Nope. My novel is in the editing stages. It won't be out until 14 Nov 17, the end of this year yet. Be sure that if you're still following me (and hopefully we'll still be "friends" by that time!), I'll let you know when it hits the market. Are you more of a physical book kind of gal, or an ebook kinda gal? I ask because both will be available, but it'll be easier to get the ebook.
