Look at this beauty! I'm looking for some tips :) I'm very anxious

Hey everyone, I’m back with just one week left before starting the flush so it's the last week of feeding nutrients. I want to thank everyone for being part of this journey, we're almost at the final steps!

I’m unsure about the next moves: should I harvest when the pistils are red or wait until the trichomes turn milky or amber? It's been 60 days of flowering, and I’m considering doing a 15-day flush before harvesting. I'll post a couple of photos to show the buds they haven’t grown a lot, but they look nice to me, at least to my untrained eyes. What do you think? Do they look healthy to you?

Could you give me some advice on the flush process? Does it typically last a few days or weeks? And when exactly should I harvest? Also, in this last week, should I add any other nutrients to give the plants a final boost?

And you're flushing because?

If your nutes call for it in their official schedule, then fine, follow their directions.

If you're trying to reset your soil for the next run and trying to clean out any unused nutrients from the soil so it doesn't give you wonky results with a new plant, also fine.

But, if you're trying to flush out nutrients from your buds to make them smoke cleaner/better, that's actually not a thing despite what the internet will tell you. Once the plant has absorbed the nutrients into its plant matter, it's there and you can't remove it.

Some growers withhold nutrients in the last couple of weeks since the plant likely won't use most of them anyway so it can be a bit of a waste.

All that said, a true flush is 3x pot size, so if you're in 5 gallon pots, you'd run 15 gallons of water through them over a relatively short period of time, so best to do over a drain or bathtub, etc .

She is beautiful.
Azi :ciao: got the nutrients :thanks:
As far as harvest goes, as a rule of thumb I don't harvest white pistils.
When they have all turned red and crinkled in she is finishing flowering .
At the same time she will slow right down on her nutrient consumption.
So if she is still draining her pot she is still flowering and building for you.
I feed right until I chop.
At the end though I don't give very strong nutrients.
But I never flush.
And as long as she is healthy i wouldn't.
I'm in coco though.

Hey, it's me again! Could you guys take a look at the photos? I know they're not the best quality, but in your opinion, do they look ready for harvest?

She is still flowering and building for you.
Watch how much they swell this week.
Post again in 7 days.
She w8ll be closer and bigger but I doubt she'll be ready. :Namaste:

Let's update!:bravo:

It doesn't seem to have changed too much.:passitleft:
Should I be worried?

No worries buddy.
Sometimes it’s hard to see the size increase.
Slow finishing girls tend to be bigger.
Is she still eating regularly?

I don't know how to measure it. Is it through the runoff?
I never water until there's excess, because it makes a mess and is a pain to clean up.:lot-o-toke:
So I have no idea how much she's taking in.:hmmmm:
Is there any way you can check the weight of the pot after watering.
Lift it to feel the weight.
Then wait until the pot becomes light again.
If it takes a week or more there's your answer. :Namaste:
If she drains it in 2 or 3 days she is still flowering.

It seems like she slowed down because I was watering daily without runoff until yesterday. Now, it looks like she's drinking less.
I'll start watering every two days and gradually extend the interval whenever there's runoff, until it's once a week.

I'm a bit worried because her leaves don't look great some are yellow, some have spots, and the tips are drooping.
I'm watering with 1000 ppm and a 6.20 pH, but I’m not sure if or how I can fix this, or if she'll just keep deteriorating until harvest.

Watering daily is causing the issues. :Namaste:
Every 3 days is plenty usually.
And try and get a little runoff.
Roots at the bottom need nutrients too.

Should I water again and wait another 3 days, or is it time to harvest? I’m losing my patience! 😂 I’m seeing a lot of amber trichomes, but it’s tricky to gauge the exact percentage. The buds seem to be swelling and getting heavier maybe they'll bulk up even more.

I can’t lift the pot to check its weight because of the net I have in place. I'm starting to think I didn’t need the net it’s making things harder to manage. Next time, I might skip it for easier handling.

If you need more details, just let me know, and I can take more photos!

I see white pistils, and it doesn't look like foxtailing to me, so I think she is still building (it could be just beginning to foxtail so grain of salt here). Gorgeous plant though, and I am sure she would still be amazing even if you did harvest now.
I didn’t even know it was called foxtailing, but it seems like that’s what it is :thanks:. Maybe it’s because I think I overdid it with the light; it’s at 1100 PPFD without CO₂. I’m going to reduce it to around 950 now.

I could see some clear trichomes too. Let’s push it for 3 more days at 950 PPFD, then I’ll update here.
I’ll add some molasses today! :morenutes:

Thank you so much for all your help, I truly appreciate it!

Now for the burning question, should I dry the whole plant or just the branches? Would drying the entire plant have a higher chance of developing mold, or not?
