LKV 420 Outdoor Grow Journal 2022

YES YES YES I always test in a lab. What kind of test results are you getting on yours any thing 25 or more?
I haven't tested very many of my plants, but the ones I had tested have not been very good. Of 5 THC-only plants that I tested most of them tested between 12.5% and 17%. I also had an auto tested. It was supposed to be 8% THC and 15% CBD. It ended up being 8.6% THC and "zero" CBD. And I tested a CBD plant that was supposed to be 16-24% CBD. Test results came back with 10.3%.
I put my girls under the porch to save them from the rain! how did yours do in the rain?
Nice move on their relocations. So far we haven't gotten much more than just a drizzle here. My one remaining outdoor plant was not liking the wind at all, so I moved over to the side of my house and also added some bamboo stakes. I'm not too worried about the rain. The buds are still small enough so bud rot is not yet a concern for me.
sweet set up from Home depo was that a humidifier in the room?
I think the whole set-up cost me about $75 (two lights/fixtures), timer, pvc pipe. That's not a humidifier - it's my water softener.
I'm an empty nester now my son jsut left for college, I need to hi jack his room!
:)
Great idea! My kids both moved out a few years ago and we still haven't done much with their vacated rooms. We plan to turn one of the closets into wine storage and if there's still room (probably not) also store our hard liquor. 🤪And we also want to make one a spare bedroom - it will certainly come in handy for when the grandson has slept overs with us.

Your plants and buds look great! To me, the buds look normal - no sign of foxtails.

I'm guessing maybe another 3 weeks. The pistil stigmas have barely begun to fade. Their lack of drinking might be due to the rains we had and all the moist nights/mornings you are getting. Based on your late flowering commencement, this seems pretty normal to me.

My plants still have a long way to go as well. I'm overdue for giving an update on my plants. I'll try to get that posted in the next day or two.

Is it true that if you wait too long to harvest you’re going to get a real stony couch lock affect off your weed versus a more high uplifting cerebral kind of a high or is that just a lot of nonsense?

Also if I may ask for some plants I gave to a friend she’s growing up in Napa and it’s really hot but it also they have cold nights. Much different climate than where I’m at she thinks she’s gonna be harvesting next week but from the look at these I’m not sure doesn’t look like she has many new pistols growing could anyone comment on her plants below? I think her plants might be a little more mature than mine due to her weather And growing conditions she’s not in pots she’s in raised planter beds .

This is true. As the plants go past their peak ripeness, the THC begins to break down into CBN, which gives you a sedative quality. Great for insomnia, but certainly more of a "couch lock" high. But if you harvest too early, you risk getting a "racy" or "manic" kind of high and short-lasting. It's certainly a matter of personal preference.

I think next week is too early. To me, her buds look about the same ripeness as yours do. Still too early yet to harvest, in my opinion. :goodluck:

Certainly if you harvest too late, you could risk getting couch lock.

You mention that you have your buds tested after each grow. You can look at those test results and see if you've harvested them too early, too late, or just on time. Take a look for CBN in your data. "CBN Not Detected (ND)" likely means you harvested a bit too early. A large CBN value means you waited too long (couch lock likely). A little bit of CBN means you probably timed it pretty well. That said, I don't really know what "too much CBN" looks like. Maybe someone here can shed some light on that better than me.

Hey y'all how are you doing? Watching plants every day, getting yellow leaves and cutting off a few rotten buds off 4 of my plants this week! But no critters though just from the damp weather I guess. Couple of weeks to go u think?

How many white pistils do you have left?
She is amazing. :yahoo:

Stay safe

I'd say harvest the last possible day before your weather goes south.

As you found from your test results there isn't any harm in holding out as long as you can.
Yes the weather it is changing we had rain again this morning got the girls huddled under the patio. I feel like they’re not getting much sunlight because they’re always huddled under the patio with all this wet weather we’ve been having

Good morning.
You have some nice girls. Such an adventure growing outdoors! I'm far south from your Napa friend so I don't know much about this "rain" you're talking about. My girls are ripening quickly and I hope the same for yours.
Stay stoneder.
