Completely. BT is a natural bacteria that is deadly to caterpillars who ingest it. Safers Insect Killing Soap Spray is potassium salts of fatty acids, which kills soft-bodied bugs on contact (aphids, mites, thrips, whiteflies) and doesn't work when it's dry. It will accumulate on the leaves and flowers which is why the it comes with the instructions to rinse after it dries:

"Do not make repeated sprays at short intervals without thoroughly rinsing foliage."

Hi LKV. Your plants are looking really nice, and I'm glad they are bouncing back from that heat spell we had.

Aug 1st is pretty late in the season for outdoor plants to begin flowering cycle. I'm afraid your plants probably won't be ready until mid October. Also by looking at your pictures, they don't look anywhere close to being ready yet - but they do look good!


How often are you feeding your plants? If you only have enough for one more feeding, I would probably plan to get more nutes, because you have at least a few more weeks to go, in my opinion.


I do still look at trichomes, but pay attention to cloudy vs clear only. I ignore the amber. If you don't have foxtails, but still see fresh stigmas (pistils), they probably are not ready yet.

I have the same digital microscope that Shed uses. It's pretty good, but it took me some practice learning how to get good quality pics. I also have a set of clip-on lenses for my Samsung phone - those work pretty well too.

@BeezLuiz , May i ask when you sprout your seeds in the spring to get such early flowering? in March and indoor? do you use grow lights until you can get them outside?

2021 I started my seeds on 4/11 and they sprouted on 4/15. They stayed in solo cups and under artificial lights until 5/27. At that time they were transplanted into 20 gal pots and put outside full time. First sign of pre-flower stigmas 6/20, and first sign of flowering was approx 7/20. Harvest began on 10/26 for Granddaddy Purple, and on 11/6 for Purple Haze.
2020 I started seeds on 3/24, sprouted on 3/28. They stayed in solo cups under artificial light until 5/3. At that time they were transplanted into 20 gal pots and moved outside full time. First sign of pre-flower stigmas were a little different on each of the 3 plants - ranged from 6/16 to 7/2. Flowering commenced approx 7/11 to 7/21. Harvests were begun on 10/7, 10/9 and 10/30.

Interesting last year I didn’t get my seeds in the ground until May and I still had an October 10 harvest and it was a great harvest I guess you just never know that the weather in everything there’s so many things that affect us right?

As long as your plants are sexually mature by June 21st (showing pistils..what BL refers to as preflowering I think) then they are ready to bloom after the first day of summer when the days begin getting shorter.

But some varieties have shorter flower times then others so that can make a huge difference outside.

I’m thinking about how I’m gonna handle this next year perhaps I need to get some grow lights and start some seeds inside

If you start them inside, after the first two weeks above ground, make sure you have them on a light schedule that matches the number of hours of daylight they'll get when you plan to move them outside.

I tried to get some close-ups of the trichomes with a 69x loop held over my camera lenz but it’s too hard. I can see the better with a loop only but I just was trying to share with you guys… Anyway enjoy your Saturday and watch out for critters after your plans! Yes I try to go every third or fourth day on a 24 hour fast and then I seem to come right back but I don’t really like smoking a A whole joint I’d prefer to just take a couple of parts off some Hydro shit and then be done with it it saves my lungs otherwise I’m hacking and coughing all the time!

AH HA! So no matter what you do your mostly like looking at a October harvest ! Unless you get flowers ea strain that flowers early!
I've only grown hybrids. I tried to grow a sativa auto but it went terribly wrong : (

YES YES YES I always test in a lab. What kind of test results are you getting on yours any thing 25 or more?

sweet set up from Home depo was that a humidifier in the room? ! I'm an empty nester now my son jsut left for college, I need to hi jack his room!
