LKV 420 Outdoor Grow Journal 2022

Considering he posted no links to his sources, it read more like a collection of his experiences and what he's read online. Some of it was true, some of it opinion. We agree that most (outdoor) growers do harvest too early though!

Of course, the weather plays a major role in that, and folks should make sure to get seeds that have harvest months that correspond to when the weather gets bad in their neck of the woods.

The plant has to wait because it's nowhere near finished bulking. Pistils are a suggestion not a command. Outside growers will probably do best waiting until the plant stops drinking if the weather doesn't get them first..

There were only two white pistils on this bud back on Sept 13th:

But the plant is nowhere near ready for harvest, and it lives on today!
Wow ! A few weeks of Patience did that!

@InTheShed 10 weeks of lower too long to wait do you think before the THC starts to fade? Or is that not a good way to judge it.
Really they're ready when they're ready. Let the plant tell you when it's done rather than something someone posted about weeks or days of flower. Some plants come down in 7 weeks and some in 14. No one knows until the plant is growing in front of them!

And outside there really is no "weeks in flower" since when flowering starts isn't a fixed point like it is in a tent.

Questions I have one plant that looks like it’s either overdone or seriously dying I’d love some input I’m gonna show you pictures of this plant compared to my other ones and you can tell me if you think I should harvest it or just let it ride. The plant on the far right in the first photo is the one in question you can see it compared to the other two.. Leaves are curling down Lots of brown death on the leaves it’s not turning purple the sugar leaves are actually dying I believe turning brown. The rest of the photos are the same plant that I think is dying fast. Watered 2 days ago. Pot is still a bit heavy

If she has stopped eating that is a sure sign she is finished.
I don't see one white pistil. :thumb:
Salvage what you can.
The buds don't look too bad.
It's mostly leaf damage.
Congratulations on your upcoming harvest. :woohoo:
Hope everything is going good today my friend.

Stay safe

OK Down she comes I’m pulling out my Fiskars! Thank you shed you are my Sinsemilla sensei !!
I'm just seconding what Bill said!

I really do wish I knew what caused this because I would like to prevent in the future is it just a sign of overly ripe or do you really think it’s a fungus?
That looks like some sort of environmental damage as opposed to old age. Fans usually go before sugars when the plant dies naturally.

When was your heat? Ours was around Labor Day and my leaves look awful.

You said your plant stopped drinking though, yes? Heat wave was in August, plant was heavy after 2 days with no water. I cut off all the big colas left the little light green ones on will check them daily. …Alsdo I have one more plant getting those brown spots .. watching it closely

Hey everyone, How are all you outdoor growers doing with YOUR plants? We made it to October!

It's with bittersweet feelings that I just completed harvesting one of my plants. Was just about 62 days into flower and was hoping I could make it past 10 weeks, but it appeared to be dying. I've never seen anything like that, but her pot had been heavy for a couple of days so I didn't think there was much choice. So now I have a second plant that is starting to look the same with the browning leaves, though it IS one is still drinking . Gonna keep my eye on it for now.
