It feels like she is growing sooo slowly, but it always does at this stage. I'm sure there is plenty going on below the surface. I gave her her first watering since up-pot today, and that was just 30ml around the outside of the pot. Go roots GO!
I'm having fun dailing in the @VIVOSUN Smart Grow System. I've been trying to understand why the humidity spikes at lights out. Even with the exhaust fan on 3, it still stays above 80% for the entire lights-out period (00:00-04:00).
I think I've figured out at least part of it. I had the humidifier set at 70% and it was on the floor right under Pebbles. It was also right between the passive intake and the AeroZesh output. When the lights went out, the humidity would spike. This kicked on the AeroZesh, which pulled dryer air into the tent right past the humidifier. That kicked on the humidifier, pulling the humidified air right past the probe before being sucked out of the tent.
- Exhaust Fan Settings before:
- 00:00-04:00 High 75F / 75% RH, default off, Max 3
- 04:00-24:00 High 80F / 80% RH, default off, Max 3
Yesterday I did a few things to try to solve the issue:
- I moved the humidifier to the corner of the tent, so that it's no longer between the intake and the AeroZesh.
- I reduced the setting on the humidifier from 70% to 65%
- I changed the GrowHub settings to:
- Exhaust Fan:
- 00:00-04:00 High 75F / 75% RH, default 1, Max 5
- 04:00-24:00 High 80F / 80% RH, default off, Max 3
This solved the lights-out humidity issues, perhaps too much. Now when the lights go off, the AeroZesh kicks on at speed#1 right away, and keeps the tent in the 55% range all night.
So, I'll keep tinkering. I've kept the humidifier setup as it is, and tonight I'll try these settings:
- Exhaust Fan:
- 00:00-04:00 High 75F / 65% RH, default off, Max 3
- 04:00-24:00 High 80F / 75% RH, default off, Max 3
I figure by the time I get the seedling environment dialed in it'll be time to move to veg That's OK, I'll have it all saved in the @VIVOSUN recipe for next grow!
BTW, last post I showed my MxOP mother Linda II in a sorry state. Like I said, she takes it well and looked like this the next day, packed in the corner of my 'Salad tent' (lettuce and tomatoes... YUM).
