LKABudMan Grows A Fruit Punch Auto With The Vivosun Smart Grow System! - Featuring Herbies Seeds, GeoFlora & Dynomyco

I totally agree. Did you notice amounts are already in liters/ml and weights in mg? Calculating how much water is left is easy in metric, not nearly so in imperial.
I did indeed catch that.
Measurements are still in inches and temperatures in Fahrenheit, though. I still can't easily convert either, and have no 'feel' for how many centimeters something is or the temperature in Celsius.
Funnily enough its the F values I cant mentally calculate, thank goodness for converters.

The metric system still seems better, I've just been indoctrinated in the imperial system :( Strange island indeed.
Look honestly we mix and match a bit.

A 9 pound baby.
Hes 6 foot 8.
Its about 8 inches long.
Give me 2 ounces of weed.

All things you would hear quite commonly.

I've kind of got the hang of temps, I can usually ballpark the Celsius when I read fahrenheit, but inches and cm are the easiest. 2 inches = 5 cm.

2=5? How is that easy? :hmmmm:
See thats the sort of head scratching I get at the dates.

It's been four full weeks since Pebbles sprouted. She's been in the SIP bucket for 11 days and has gone through 6 liters in that time. I filled up the res today, along with a few ml of Hydroguard (it can't hurt). Watching her on the camera, she looks more like DWC than soil: she's always moving and growing.

I thought she was going into flower a week ago when she started throwing pistils. Right now she's still in veg, though, and growing quickly. Every day I move her LST to open up the middle, and every day she fills it back in. I had to make more CarHooks this morning and start hooking the sub-branches that are popping up above the canopy. I'll need to make a lot more tomorrow. She's really starting to fill in.

Her carhooks are almost to the edge of the bucket. If she keeps growing like this I'll need to find another way to LST. We'll see how much longer this girl is going to veg.

@Carcass would tell you to get a pool noodle!
Or the top 2 inches of a dollar store trash can!

And if you're tying down past the pot edge, this is something I figured out awhile back- you won't need this early on, but it really helps out when things get a little bigger.
The spacers will also help, but you won't need many of them if you bend your hook in the shape of the one on the left- it "grips" the branch enough to stay where you put it, but not hard enough to pinch off the vital "plant juices".
20ga. solid core copper wire works best for this, but I think it'll work with most wire, as long as the wire is stiff enough...

Thanks @Carcass That trash can rim looks like it could bite you good ;) I'll figure out something to bring the tie-down points out beyond the bucket. That hook shape is a great tip!

It grows sooo fast. It’s incredible, leave her vegging to long and she won’t fit in the tent.

Pebbles has really moved into high gear now. I filled the bucket res yesterday and it's already half gone. Her growth shows it, too.

Today I removed two fan leaves from the two top branches that were growing into the middle. Other than that I'm just tucking leaves out of the way to expose as many bud sites as possible. And adjusting the CarHooks to keep everything at the same level. So far so good, and everything's still in the bucket for now.

Yea she does. Is it the SIP bucket or the Auto genetics? Right now it's up to her when she wants to flip, so we'll see how much of the tent she wants to fill up ;)
Damn SIPs... :laughtwo:
It looks like she's over her SIP conversion period for sure.

It is really wild she has stayed in veg so long for you. Wondering if it has to do with the light/environment primarily or if she generally just goes longer than the standard 4 week auto veg, and you can expect more of the same? Going to go see what I can dig up on that strain now ;)

Yea she does. Is it the SIP bucket or the Auto genetics?
I think the SIP structure gives the natural genetics the best chance to play out as it eliminates a watering issue as a problem. And, especially with auto's since you really have no recovery time for anything that causes a slowdown.

I'm surprised she's still in veg as well. She started showing pistils 9 days ago when she was topped. I expected her to start budding a week ago. She's really grown a lot of sub-nodes in the past week so I'm glad she waited. Instead of eight tops last week, I have three times as many now :)

That said, I'm still expecting her to go into flower any day now.

That's a great point Az. Even if you're a master at watering, the SIP still does it better (right @Emilya Green ;) )

I found multiple grows that had these genes going to about 5 weeks, but most were right at 4, a few earlier too. Some really nice yields too. Not sure what the current phenos are like but theres a lot of super fruity and sweet comments... that sativa high at the bottom of it means it is going to be some super nice smoke!
*big sweet bud sativa high* :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
