LKABudMan Back In Deep Water: 4 Purple Haze Clones In RDWC

Thanks! I learned something new. I like what I’m reading.
Well I'm glad I tagged you then @Grandpa Tokin . When I look at buying AN again I just can't do it. From everything I have seen this is one of the cheapest nutrient lines out there and people are growing some great plants with it. I also love that they continue to enhance it. Hopefully we can both save a little money ;)

Well, you don’t actually need silica, but if you want to supplement it, 0.15% isn’t very much.

Are you sure that the guaranteed analysis you posted is the current one? They change so frequently..
Thanks @FelipeBlu I still have some Rhino Skin that I need to use up so I will start out supplementing Silica with that. When it is gone I will get MSA instead of the potassium silicate.

Am I sure which one I'm getting? No but it should be here in a week or so. This is the posting from the site I purchased from so I hope that's the one I get. If not I'll supplement come calmag.

I really appreciate all of your guy's help. If not for this site I would probably stay on AN just because it is easy/known. You guys ROCK!

Happy Growing.

Humidity has been creeping up in the tent all week. I had the exhaust on really low to retain the heat & moisture in the tent. As these girls grow and drink more they also respire more. Then, to top it off, the dehumidifier stopped working sometime yesterday. I got it working again and turned up the exhaust fan in the veg tent. The humidity is back down in the 50s. The temperature will be a couple degrees cooler with more airflow but that is better that humidity in the 70s.

I said that when they really start eating and drinking it would be easier to see what is going on and it is; they are hungry. Jolt is drinking the most at about 2/3 L/day. PPMs are dropping and pH is rising signaling that they are eating more than they are drinking. I'm still topping off the buckets with full-strength nutes but may have to get more aggressive raising the EC.

They are all growing well. The generic 100w LED I have in this tent is only about 7 inches away and 30k LUX. I would need to get within 3 inches to be at 45k LUX. Right now I am leaving the light where it is and letting the plants grow up into it. They all have pretty big internodal spacing to go along with some really big fan leaves.

These will be the tallest plants I have grown yet. I have not topped/fimmed anyone yet and don't think I will. The two in back (Joan & Jazz) have both self-topped. The two in front are not topped but still have really nice bud growth throughout the plant. My plan is to leave these girls alone as much as possible. I will need to start some light defoliation in a week or so just to keep air movement in the tent, but I don't plan on topping or breaking apical dominance right now. When I move them to the flower tent I will do some LST/scrog.

Oh, and I spotted a visitor in the tent today. Not sure how she got in there but I'm going to take it a sign of good luck!

Happy Growing.

Good color - look really healthy! :goodjob:
Thanks @FelipeBlu I'm knocking on wood but this is going too easy so far. Pretty plants with nice thick stems and big fans. Hope they can keep it up.:yummy:

That is a long time away. I bet things have changed quite a bit... and stayed the same too :) Luckily we have this community to help us out. I bet you can't wait for that first harvest:rollit::ganjamon:

Thanks @Grandpa Tokin I'm having fun with them. They are so pretty it will be a shame when I have to start cutting on them ;)

I forgot to post the pictures of the roots :( It is too hard to get the plants in back out of the tent so I just have pictures of the front two. They get stained a bit by the B-52 and the clay balls but they all look and smell good though.

Happy Growing.

Looking great here! That poor ladybug is gonna starve in there man :p
I hope so @PlanetJ I'm certainly not feeding her :)
Looking great LKABUDMAN!!!!

And I see I was just in time for the root porn, oooh yeah
Thanks guys I love seeing this tent fill up! @Rexer since I'm running them in the same buckets so long I'm keeping a close eye on the roots. And, who doesn't love some root porn ;)

Humidity in the tent has been much better since I turned up the exhaust fan. The dehumidifier in the basement is being a bit temperamental this week and stopped working twice for over 12 hours. I think it may have something to do with the pump/drain but I am keeping en eye on it. Right now I have it set for 45% and it is keeping the basement nice and dry. As long as that keeps working I have no problem keeping the tent VPD good.

These girls are drinking more and more. I mixed up some fresh nutrients today and gave filled all the buckets. Since they are drinking differently they are getting further and further apart in PPM & pH. I may have to reset soon.

I finally broke down and bought a real light for the veg tent. I have been using the one that came with the tent package, a generic 100W LED. I found the Viparspectra P2500 on sale for under $170, and had about $90 in CC rewards, so I ended up paying about $90 for a 250W LED. I have it mounted about 10" away at about 65% which is providing about 35-40k LUX. I'm really happy with the light and it looks great in the tent. I still feel like my son may end up stealing it in a month or so ;)

The 32x32 tent is filling up quickly. One of the unexpected things about these clones it that the lower nodes grow really long without topping/fimming. These girls are nice and bushy with bottom nodes almost as tall as the top nodes. I still have not really done any defoliation and will wait until I absolutely have to. They have really thick stems and leaves bigger than your hand. I can't wait to get them in the flower tent and scrog them up!

Oh, and my little friend is still in the tent standing guard...

Happy Growing.

Getting bushy in there. I get weird feelings when they touch too much. I want them to have a "Shy Canopy" like the trees I saw on the discovery channel, no touchie.
