LiveAndLetGro's 1st Time DWC LED Bagseedx4 Grow, 2017

Okay, big day for my babies today. They got themselves new, much more spacious homes, much to the chagrin of my nutrients. So, water is all good in both containers, 65 degrees, 6.0 ph. My ppm meter has read 170x10 on 3/20. 134 on 3/21. 144 on 3/23. 119 on 3/24. 111 on 3/30. Today after water change and nutes my ppm's were at 177 and 168. I need to do more research on the ppm and ec so I'll just leave it at that for now.

Here are my little ones new houses...

They look a little funny cause I have been training them, trying to get as much light to the stems as possible. Some of the roots had already grown together, I hope I didn't damage or shock them badly when I moved them. I will just watch them closely the next couple days to make sure they are okay. I think I am going to need to add another LED, especially for flowering.

Still going forward ...

In a 4 X 4, I believe another light is essential. I was running one 450w LED panel with my first grow and added a vipar 450w to the 2nd grow during flowering. My original 450 (a brand that shall not be named due to massive fuckwittery on the part of the manufacturers on this site) shits all over the vipar for spectrum, coverage and lumens and the vipar was only intended as a supplementary aid. Had I known what I know now when I initially bought the LED panel, I would most definitely have opted for the 900W version for my 4X4 tent. As it is, with the vipar 450, I still need to move them daily to ensure total coverage during flowering. But these are the things we learn! But wouldn't it be awesome if we could start with what we learn?

I was pleased to see you heeded your head and doubled your lighting.

Well I made it to day 70 of Flower! I took these pics this morning right before lights on. I will go back in after while and look at the trichs again today. Not much longer now!

They are awesome!! :thumb:

You can cut a bud if you want, I always take one before it finish to "test" it! :)

Check out this thread, its for bud washing at harvest. Never done it before, but I will do that for sure!

The bastard stole that chart from Pennywise!

But shh, don't tell anyone, I did as well and use this as invaluable reference. :)

LOL! Thank goodness for Pwise and that chart! It had been a life saver through my grow and I have been passing it around to anyone else doing hydro.

I really like that little nug! It was a tough choice, there were some other nice ones, but that one just stuck out the most to me. Seemed quite unique. Thanks for stopping by my little grow and checking it greengo!

@Weezze - I may have to take a tester today. I am still waiting on amber, but it's getting cloudy for sure. I am probably going to take Legz at the end of this week. Will probably start her flush on day 75 or 77. Today is day 71 of flower. I plan on taking The Freak probably a week after that. So that would make 11 full weeks for Legz and 12 full weeks for The Freak.

I can't go wrong harvesting at those points, right? Isn't that about how long most photo's take to flower? Do people go longer than 12 weeks?

Do people go longer than 12 weeks?
Yours look mostly sativa, which can take all this time. There are some Thai stick that can take more than 16 weeks!! There are a journal here somewhere that I saw.

But I'm pretty sure they will turn amber in a few days. :thumb:

Grow looks amazing. Been away for a week or so and am glad you have waited for the buds to mature. I know you have had as much fun as I have watching these girls grow and I look forward to watching your premium bean grow.

Day 68 of Flower

Not much to report the last couple days. I've just been trying to stay busy with other things and sort of forget about the girls for awhile. It has been hard to do that because of the smell constantly calling out but I have tamed it a bit with the addition of a 6" fan and carbon filter. I do think it has helped. Since it's a closet grow I just sat it on the floor just outside the room and I think it has cut down on the smell some. Looks like I may have to start growing in tents. I love the smell but it is just too much.

How much do you think a tent would help cut down on the smell?

My grow is in a tent and as long as the filter fan is on nothing can be noticed. Even right outside the tent door. Now it's a different story once the door is opened. Whoa! The whole house smells most awesome. But to go covert and remain stealthy, a tent is the way to go. Your babies look awesome. When the flash is on for the photos, those lovely trichomes you have going reflect the light making those pics just that much more beautiful. Nice grow indeed.

Good Evening everyone! Welcome back Gauge, just in time :)

So I got some news today from my landlord. He has another place that will be available at the end of the month. I am first on the list to get this other house which is much nicer and in a better place. I know it can take at least 7 days to dry, then I can put it in jars and cure it. It would be much easier to move if it was in jars already...So, this may be the most important question I've asked yet..Should I take flush tomorrow and harvest 2 days later to give it a chance to dry? I don't want any sign of anything around when my landlord comes by and now, out of nowhere, I only have 2 weeks. I feel like I am in quite a quandary now. Suggestions welcome! Here are some pics while you think about it...

Still loads of clear trichomes and the pale, straightish pistils would also suggest it's not quite there yet, however I fully understand your predicament. I usually only dry mine for about 4 to 5 days and then jar and sweat them for at least another week. What I'm saying is that you don't need to dry them completely before putting them in a jar for transportation.

Yeah I would really like to go with my original plan of 77 and 84 days. I may be able to go with it after all. The guy that lives there now said he would be out by the end of the month but that may not necessarily be the case. I could always just put the material in paper bags or something and box them up to move them to my new place then get them out and finish drying. It's only about 15 minutes from where I live now. Once the current occupant moves out, the landlord may need to do a little work on the place before I move in. Once that is done I am going to move my stuff into that house and help him do some work on this house. I think it will work out to where I will be able to go the full time. Fingers crossed lol!

It would be such a shame if you were forced to cut them before they reached their full potential.

Even if the guy is out by the end of the month, I highly doubt you'd be able to move straight in as well. Just remember that if you only use paper bags the smell is going to be very strong. A far as I'm concerned, there is no issue with using plastic bags to transport them (even garbage sacks) while it's still wet as long as they are not left sealed for too long.

Fingers crossed, knock on wood, don't step on any cracks, no under ladders and definitely no black cats on your finish. Those buds are just too gorgeous to cut at this juncture. May time be on your side. Good luck, great wishes and you soon will be rewarded with some fine medicine.
