Yes Gazoo, thank u sir, much appreciated for that. If a grower has slacked off with the GI , especially during early bloom , calcium levels will be lower. Not good when heading into the CD's. During veg. it's very important to alternat the Drenches (with plain water in between) making sure the soil gets lots of both Tansplant and GI . Then they should be lookin proper and can take full advantage of the two CD's without frying them. Cheers.

Yeah i think underfeeding earlier in veg is what causing the issues im having. For a while now the plants have been getting 150ml of drench with 20ml of tea in 10 gal RO water. along with addition of snake oil for a couple brix spray.

For 1st cat it was 100ml with 20 ml of tea in 10 gal of RO water.

All leaves with suspected PM was removed along with other dead / yellow leaves.

Second cat is coming up any time soon probably tomorrow or saturday. Trying to be sure to avoid wet feet or let them get too dry.

Good morning, how's it going?

I checked on my second first run kit soil that's been cooking since first day of flower. I see some white and a yellow fuzz on the soil o.0 and i took some pics to share.

One thing to note though, temps has been inconsistent in the shop, it ranged from 83 to 50s and recently 31 this morning. I pulled the bin into a room to allow the soil get back up to 70s and im thinking its ready for some seeds.

:cheer: awesome! Weird, i didnt see them during the first soil cook for this current run we're in.

Here's a list of seeds i have available

Bluniverse
Super Silver Blue Magoo
Blue Coffin

I think I'll plant two of each kinds and see what comes out of six of them for female or male. Probably end up with three female plants again lol.

I'd love to get my hands on some freebies, if you know of a spot please let me know where and how. :)

Have a great weekend!

Not a lot of people talk about it, but I keep noting that more and more of us are turning the intensity down at about this point. The leaves are showing fatigue, whatever the reason, and we tend to blame it on nutrients, etc. But it's a balance with weak links. I think high intensity is one of those links. Ease off the lighting and the plants usually look better. They quit fading and the new growth looks better. And a key signal is looking at the growth lower in the canopy. I used to marvel at how frosty some of that stuff gets! All plump and delicate with insane frost? :hmmmm: That deep into the canopy?

Drop the intensity 20% or so until harvest, and I bet they love it.

If you can just move the plants away though, you'll have a deeper effective canopy. Better than having less light overall. That's all I do - just drop the plant lower.
I know that mine are having a hard time adjusting to my Spydrx on full strength. I bought the dimmer control switch but I will be damn if I know where I put it when we moved... :hmmmm: ........:bongrip:

What were we talking about? Oh yeah dimmers and light intensity.....yeah I wanted to try hooking up the dimmer and running it down at 50% and start working from there just to see how they respond. I know the electricity bills will certainly thank me!

Late weekend update, more like a monday update lol.

Seeds were planted! Yup, today there are total of six beans planted in the soil (first run kit) .

I filled up some 1 gallons with the cooked soil, dug a small hole, spread some roots and buried the seeds. Watered with 1/2 oz TP per gal of water. Now we wait ... :rollit:. Not sure if I'll start a new journal or keep this one going. picture time.

Hi Stank how's the spydrx treating ya ? Think I still want to get my hands on one of those :) maybe on black friday sale if they would do it.
Aww man, I love me my Spydrx!!! I have it back into a single tent, no longer on a mover. Plants took a few days to get used to the intensity of it! They were drooping like they were trying to get away from it.....I raised it up a few more inches....they seem to be getting better

That is an amazing light Gazoo. I have the Fluence Spydrx Plus and its incredible. Yields doubled over the previous LEDs (Mars and Viparspectra). You can run them as low 6" over the canopy in flower so its a great light for running if you have height issues.

nice! That's awesome and ive seen the droopy pics on your thread. You're doing good work with your plants. :thumb:

Are you gonna go for that spydr light gazoo?

Been really wanting the QBs and recently picked up some Viperspectra units so I am really torn if
I want to try another type ? just to many nice lights being produced these days its getting really
hard to know whats the best choice

I can tell you that not all lights are created equal and not all watts are equal. Very little wasted heat with Spydrx. Under the Mars and Vipars, I was getting about .7 grams per watt. With the Spydrx, I am getting 1.4 and up.

I bought mine new and it ran 1500.00 new....but it paid for itself with 2 harvests, easily. I liked it so much I started converting all my tents to Fluence lights. I picked up their Razr for my seedling/clone tent. Covers 2.5'x4.5' excellently with only using 91 watts.

I have one more tent that I want to equip with another Spydrx light......but this one will be their 330 watt light for my 4x4. I absolutely love their products!

Now you got me thinking again. Twice the yield is a VALID POINT

I can concur with the yield increase. :thumb:

I wasn't even expecting it - almost double!

My theory is that the diodes are spread so widely that there are fewer shadows in the canopy, so the penetration is better. The lower buds are definitely more developed. I get solid nugs 2 feet into the canopy. Even with 5 blurple panels in a 4x4, they were starting to get airy at 14 inches.

Unless you need the heat, there's no better choice than mid-power white diodes.

:Namaste:

The other thing I can't stress enough is the coverage! That and the fact that I can run and have run it within 3" of the canopy. They recommend no closer than 6", but sometimes plants don't listen and have a mind of their own. I saw no signs of damage....but some of the leaves showed a little curling downward in protest. Still...can't beat running it that close to the canopy!
