Ive been plucking rusty and dead leaves lol. They do need another prune to allow more light and air around the shaded bud sites. I plan on doing that before foliar spray.

The scrogg concept for this run seems to be doing pretty good so far. I promised earlier in the journal that i won't use scrogg screen during next run. I would do it again no doubt long as I used quadline method again.

Here's some more pics taken when lights went out. Brix +snake oil will be ready for the plants when they wake up.

Heavy Cat almost never works, so ... :cheesygrinsmiley:

Stick with the suggested concentration for Cation Drench. With the other drenches, you can up the dosage - not Cat.

Don't be freaked out if they fade badly from the Cats. They have that look to them. It's happened to me many times. The fans will yellow and fall off, but the calyxes will puff up and grow lotsa trichs. :cheesygrinsmiley:

From what I see, you're a little late with the Cats, and that's part of the fade - they'd do better with an earlier switch. But I like mine late, anyway - the buds seem to get fatter.

Can you turn down the light intensity?

Thanks Graytail, appreciate your input. Yeah i realize its a late cat and i was simply following Duggan's advice mostly trying to get the plants back to 100% before cat drenches. I still feel like the plants are not up there 100% and continues to lose alot of leaves. Im hoping its nothing serious and i suspect it could have something to do with smartpots vs plastic containers. I might will do plastic container for next run and see if there was any difference. I could be completely wrong and maybe I'm not doing high brix properly lol

Yup i can turn the lights down 100% to 25% or raise the hoods maybe just under a foot before its too close to the ceiling. You thinking the lights are too close?

Not a lot of people talk about it, but I keep noting that more and more of us are turning the intensity down at about this point. The leaves are showing fatigue, whatever the reason, and we tend to blame it on nutrients, etc. But it's a balance with weak links. I think high intensity is one of those links. Ease off the lighting and the plants usually look better. They quit fading and the new growth looks better. And a key signal is looking at the growth lower in the canopy. I used to marvel at how frosty some of that stuff gets! All plump and delicate with insane frost? :hmmmm: That deep into the canopy?

Drop the intensity 20% or so until harvest, and I bet they love it.

If you can just move the plants away though, you'll have a deeper effective canopy. Better than having less light overall. That's all I do - just drop the plant lower.

Ah that makes sense and I think you’re onto something about the lights. I just raised the lights about 8 inches and they were about two feet above the plants. Tomorrow I’ll dim it down to 75%.

Currently the room night time temp is 68 with 50% rh while daytime temp is 75-79 with rh at 40%. Thinking I should try make it a little cooler like fall season.

Did another inspection around the room at lights out, I’m afraid I might have found powder mildew. Maybe some of you can verify it. Not sure of it’s residue from foliar spray because I never seen it earlier in the grow.

:hmmmm: Are there more leaves like that? It looks more like a smear than PM. There are sharp lines where it cuts off. Maybe there was a leaf across that part? :hmmmm:

It's hard to tell if it's PM, or some powdery dust from a sleeve or something.

Yup, wat i'm seein is a room full of HB buds. Some yellowing is normal. Wat are they due for Fingers.? Just outta curiosity Fingers, how long to foliar the whole bunch? When was the last bit of Tea they've had?

thanks duggan :) Couldn't have done it without advices/guidance from pro growers in doc's kit! If there was a way i could send you some of my buds as an appreciation for your help, i would! Too bad it's a no-no to mail cannabis :/

Not sure what you mean for what they are due for? Due for harvest or next cat? Harvest date, i'm not sure? lol just waiting for the plants to let us know when they are done. Maybe sometime around halloween, i think, but could be wrong. Birds of paradise is coming along really good compared to stardusters. BOP has lots of orange hairs and is a bit airy. The stardusters is pretty hairy and airy.

Right now we're just waiting for 2nd cat with tea. Haven't missed out on tea on any of the drenches. and I suspect more tea might be needed? Hence your question about it.

It doesn't take me long to foliar three plants. I just sit on the floor and spray a fine mist spray all over underside of the plants. Im assuming it takes about 10 to 15 mins? I do have a one gallon pump sprayer that needs replacing which i have been procrastinating on lol For now the regular hand sprayer works fine.

Gotcha ....ok second CD coming up. Make sure to give some Tea. A cap full per two gal. watering can ok.
How much u bin giving them along the way....Tea that is?
Fingers...with that white stuff
on some leaves...if i were u i would prune that off and just keep an eye out for more ok......make sure u get all of it off of the plant.
It doesn't look like pm ..but u will soon find out if more appears after getting rid of wats there .
