Happy hump day!

Thank you drift! :slide:

Today a new batch of soil promix , worm casing, and 1st run amendments was mixed in a big tarp. Two 55 gal totes were filled to the brim and watered. I have to go back shoppin for couple more totes to store the rest of the soil :blunt:.

Here's a few photos.

:)

Hope you all have a great Wednesday!
Dam that's a lot of soil to mix at one time, I had that much 8 42 gal. trash cans Full but I mixed it at three different times I wouldn't try that much at once Wow I know your back is killing you Kudos on all the hard work

Morning every one,

haha my back is good :) usually i do not work hard, I just work smarter lol :blunt:

nah i did not water little by little into the mix. i just watered slowly around the whole area and i did put in a little extra in the last two totes because i don't think I'll be touching those for a while. Probably sometime in spring / summer time is when those totes will be touched.

TBH i didn't feel like splitting up the bulk kit and just end up mixing it all up in one shot. One tote can do three plants in 15 gal smartpots. so i have six plants and I figured that I needed 1-2 more totes of soil for final up-potting into 15's and to have for back up. It's better to be safe than sorry :)

On the bright side, I have two extra totes sitting in the basement and I will not have to buy soil for a while. Just gotta reuse and rotate the soil.

I can tell you that not all lights are created equal and not all watts are equal. Very little wasted heat with Spydrx. Under the Mars and Vipars, I was getting about .7 grams per watt. With the Spydrx, I am getting 1.4 and up.

I bought mine new and it ran 1500.00 new....but it paid for itself with 2 harvests, easily. I liked it so much I started converting all my tents to Fluence lights. I picked up their Razr for my seedling/clone tent. Covers 2.5'x4.5' excellently with only using 91 watts.

I have one more tent that I want to equip with another Spydrx light......but this one will be their 330 watt light for my 4x4. I absolutely love their products!
Commercial growers are using these, that's good enough for me. I'm convinced that this is the best light on the market, and is definitely on my wish list !! Will this 330W, replace a 1000w hps ??

I don't know that it will fully replace a 1000w hps from a yield perspective, just not enough wattage.

The coverage on the 330w version is great. Will cover a 5x5 in veg which is what I am looking to get it for (but in my 4x4). I just don't need 660 watts in the veg tent...way overkill.

If you are looking to replace a 1000w hps, I would look at their 660 range lights.

OK Van Stank, thanks !! Right now I have a Nanolux 630w LEC CMH in one 4x4 and two 315 LEC CMH in my other . For the 4x4 veg tent, I use 4 foot t5 fixture and a 2 foot . I'd like to upgrade, but $$ is tight at slows place !! :reading420magazine: :surf:

me too puffer. I'd love to upgrade my hardware too . I still have some gear and decent leds platinums p900 that's gotta go before i can get more stuff. I havnt got a single bite on my craigslist ad... it makes me wonder if I'm asking too much for em (600$ a piece) or something else idk. lol
A used LED grow light is a hard sell. No matter the price !! I look at it like this, it didn't work for you, so why is it gonna work for me ?

I agree with you puffer about selling used products which isn't always easy. Although please do not be quick to assume that the platinum p900 leds light do not work.... They do in fact work great. I've had no issues with them other than having a short ceiling and a weak AC system. I just couldn't keep them bad boys far enough from the plants to prevent major bleaching. The portable ac couldn't handle a handful of lights running at the same time. Let alone having many HPS lights running at the same time, the portable ac suffers tremendously. So you can see why I only run two to three lights during summer months and then add more lights during cold seasons. What works for me during cold season is to leave the door cracked open a little to allow some cold air into the room, which helps the ac to not work hard all the time. If my room had extra 3 to 4 ft of vertical space and the ac wasn't a issue, there is no doubt I would be using more lights in the room.

Most tents for blooming are 6.5 -7 ft., so that's the end of my vertical space. and by no means was I implying the 900s don't work. I have one tiny room with 3 4x4 tents crammed in. and after growing inside for the summer, for a few yrs., I've decided to shut down during the hot mos. from now on. When you add in the higher electricity involved, it's not worth it !! I veg during summer, then start bloom about 1st. of Sept.. My grow now was started with clones in July. just a 4 foot t5 and a 2 foot t5. Not much heat to add to those 90F days of summer. No AC, just a fan, with windows open. worked for me. What is your vertical space 207 ?

I have also found starting from seed at the start of JULY works out the best for
my environment (Bay Area, Central California) Very easy to control and the weather
works in my favor

EDIT: I grow indoors, 2 x 4 x 7 ft high tent
HID at 50" from floor. I adjust the plant canopy
to stay 21" below bottom of HID

Using LST & Scrog I can run untopped 100% sativa
in 2 x 2 x 50" (2 plants per run, seed to harvest)
