Ok, so I made a hashball using a gumbyhash tek, and came out with a golfball. WOOHOO! I'll let it dry while I'm camping and weigh it dry monday! I'll post a pic or 2 and dry weight. wet weight was 28.6g (I squeezed as much water as I could out of it) I wonder how much weight it'll lose. I also plan to be harvesting on monday night, so I'll take some pics of that as well. I hope you all have a good holiday weekend!!!

Hi therre HH! I hope your having a great weekend too!! Went up to the continental Divide for some camping myself. Great stuff! What a great time. Took beer, bud, the Acoustic guitar, and some Brauts.

High Lavendar! I've been bubsy busy lately, but finally got Chrystal harvested. WOW was she late. Over 2 weeks later than her predicessor Candy. The golfball came out well. It shrunk down to a pingpong ball, and is blonde. It burns clean, no bubbling, and KNOCKED ME DOWN. I was couch ridden for 3 hours. HolyCow!! I knew it'd be good, but no Idea it would be THAT good. Damn. It's like some serious Narcotic. I'll post a pic of it soon along with the harvest pics. I cant wait to see your harvest pics too!!

Ok, PapaGreen and ChicagoJoe this ones for you guys. The hash ball shrank over the weekend to about pingpongball size. I think this was due to the psychic powers of ChicagoJoe. lol,

It lost a bunch of weight. wet it weighed 28.6g and it dried to 10.1g

It also lightened up to a blondish color and smokes very nice, but expands in the lungs with that spicy pure hash flavor. It doesnt bubble, it just smokes. I used trim from Berry White, Cinderella99, and White Rhino to make this bad boy. The notch you see taken out of the ball was what I smoked to sample it, and let me tell you! I wasn't ready for how gnarly this was. It came on strong but slow. took about 20min to fully kick in, and kick it did. I was couch ridden for about 3 hours. Just layed there contimplating the universe. WOW. I havent been that medicated in years. The mix of strains provided Very strong effects of all kinds combined. For medical purposes I think this would kill almost any pain.... .....if you even knew you were on earth. At points it was almost like an out of body experience in a way. I dried the leaves, froze them, dryblended them in a blender, added Icewater and blended more, Put into big jars to let the crystals settle, filtered thrue a Metal mesh coffe filter (Very small guage) and repeated 4 times with the plant matter. ( found that the plant matter would hold some crystals so repeating was definatly beneficial.) Then took the crystals and poured thru a paper coffee filter and collected and pressed with may hands. It's rock hard now. WOOHOO!!!

UPDATE:

!!!HARVEST TIME FOR CHRYSTAL!!!

Alright. So as you may know if you follow the thread, Chrystal was taking her sweet time. 2 weeks late and still trucking. I flushed for about a week. (just under) and checked her trichomes. well folks. She's 30-40% so, OFF WITH HER HEAD!!! (in honor of the new Alice movie!)

I chopped her and tried to get some good pics for everyone. I did not take a wet weight, never do, it just gets my hopes up and I don't need any more stress thank you. I am VERY happy with how she did for me. Blew the last Cindy yield out of the water.

Once I get her all dry and crispy I'm going to do a special weigh in. I believe that Chrystal is above the gram per watt thing for sure. Her predocessor Candy weighed in at 40g at 62.5watts per sq.Ft. She only took up 1 square foot. not bad. Same as Chrystal. That would be VERY VERY VERY efficient if Chrystal turns out over. WOOHOO!

Chrystals not as 'cute' as Candy was, but oh, the body. This girls got curves. And will be a stronger smoke for sure. anyways, here are the pictures. I hope that you enjoy!

Well, there you have it. I'll probably update the veg area and current bloom area in a couple days, and keep yall' up to date on the drying extravaganza.

Any guesses on what I'll be getting dry weight? anyone? anyone? Bueller?

Those buds are pretty solid, but not rock solid. they have some space in there. I think it helps her from molding up. My space isn't very humid, but that doesn't necissarily mean no mold. dug her out tonight to look to tell you...lol...she is stocky, i have already topped her twice, she is about 5in. tall max, and seems to be fine...she is not the shortest and not the tallest, she is ranging med in height compared to the others....she was kinda spindly at first, but now since topping the stem looks alot better....so far im happy with her...she is a fem seed, is yours? i have to keep them topped now, as last time they over ran me...nearly everything in there is topped now....will do fim later....she seems to like the heat, does better next to the light....was a slow start with her tho...some of them are on their feet right out the gate, she just stalled out for a while, so im hoping she is not a "shocker" type....nycd is bad like that...have redone both tents....going to bud everything in them both....and start over...they are all plenty old enough, up to 12 wks now, but twila is still in the nursery with the next group....lavendar

I've made a few rabbit terds but nothing like that. I have a pretty good size bucket of trim in the freezer so hopefully I'll get something nice like that.
I've been using bubble bag knock offs I got off ebay for my hash. Do you prefer the gumby over bubble? I've never made or smoked gumby hash.

You know, I didn't think I had a fem seed, but went into my stash and checked the bag, and low and behold she is a fem. Huh. I dunno how I missed that one. lol (I'll blame it on being tired. Yea, thats it.) That worked out well since I have the Male Papaya in the breeding chamber for cross pollination. I was rooting for a male twilight (glad I didn't hold my breath on that one. lol) but the Papaya was the one that I really wanted a male of anywho. Much more stable strain than alot of them. Sounds like Your papaya is just trucking along. I'm glad to hear that she loves the heat. I'm getting kind of aggrivated trying to deal with the Rhinos lack of heat tolerance. She wants me to just stand there andfan her like the princess that she is. I told her I just don't have the time, but she just started crying and throwing a fit. lol. Maybe after she losses her virginity to the papaya her kids will be more tolerant. those are my hopes anyways, but I'm still going to search thru the seeds for a Phenotype closer to the W.Rhino than papaya to work with there. maybe I can get the best of both worlds if I play my cards right.

Just so you know, My Twilight has been going strong right out of the gate. No stalling. Maybe a difference in pheno, or environmental differences are at work, but I think she'll do us both proud. The only thing that I'm really worrying about with her is the streeeeeeeetch factor. From what I've read (and there really isn't much info out there on the web about her considering how old of a strain she is) I believe she has a hell of a stretch when put into 12/12. That sucks, but I'll deal with her as neccissary. If she's going to try to be bad, she'll learn real quick whos boss. I just hope that I got a nice purple Pheno. Without that This strain i would have passed by. I think she'll be on the more difficult side of the road. In my experience, most plants labled for outdoor only can be problematic and moody indoors. (take Original Jack for instance)
I'll try to take a couple pictures of her soon so we can compare phenotypes and such. I have to say though, the short bloom cycle is VERY appealing, isn't it???

Hi G4G! Welcome to my thread! I love having new faces here. Thankyou for stopping in. Yes, 'Chrystal' really is nice and sticky. My camera really doesn't do her justice. Some of the past pictures of her were easier to see the trichomes, but now they just reflect off pure white, so i cant seem to get good close-ups. She is definatly good smoke! Her older sister is sitting in my jars and she's a real treat! Sativa high with little couchlock. great get-up-and-go stuff. really helped out camping this weekend. Chrystal went an extra 14 days than her sister and eventually really ambered up quick over the weekend. I think that a bit of a drought while I was gone helped with that. I believe she'll be a stronger smoke than her sister, with a bit more couchlock, but not much I'd assume.

P.S. Then next round is already in progress my friend. Already in bloom. I have Medusa (Chrystals younger sister) in bloom about a month I think. (I'd have to go check my calendar for sure) smallfry (White Rhino) 2 weeks into bloom, and Papaya2 (unnamed) just under 2 weeks into bloom. I'll be taking a few new pics of the girls in there soon so check back!!

WOW! Thanx for all the enthusiasticity PG!! Thats a hell of alot of smileys! HA! Yes sir, that hash came out Phenominal. It's almost scarygood. I was soo high I felt like i melted into the couch for a while, flew around the ozone layer and contimplated life and its meaning. (that was about 5 big hits on top of a tiny tiny Cindy99 nug) I wasn't really prepared for an experience like that, it was pretty hard core but next time I'll be ready and have all of my stonerstuff next to me so I don't have to move around as much. lololol

.....and thanx for the KiND words on the harvest too! Those buds came out pretty darn massive for such a little plant. I can't wait to weigh her and see if I finally got over the g per watt. I believe that I did indeed this time. I also think that I may have found a trick to getting bigger yields from each plant, but I dont wanna say anything till I know for sure, less I blab my mouth and find it not to be true. I hate it when that happens.

Howdy OB! Thanx a ton for the reps man! Love it!. Sounds like your about ready to get yer' Hash on! Nice. I've only done Bubblehash a few times, Rosemans method once, and now this 'hybrid' Gumby style, and I have to say that the way that I did it this time was WAAAAAAAY easier, but overall more time consuming since I re-filtered the trim 4 times to get every little granule I could. Also, I like the quality of this tek better than the BubbleHash. It seems more pure. Harsher, but stronger. Instead of using the GumbyTek with buckets I decided to scale it down and use the 1qt mason Jars that I have soo many of. I used a Smoothy mixer that makes one glass at a time (just under a qt), the metal coffefilter from my Coffe machine (you can get them at walmart for like $5 or less).

I dried and froze the trim, Dryblended a couple cups at a time until it was powder-ish, blended about a cup and a half with Ice and water (just enough Ice to keep it very cold, not make one of those shitty frozen margeritas we were talking about.) for about 30-40sec, immediatly dumped it into jars until full and placed it into the fridge for 30min.
Took the jars out of the fridge one at a time to spoon out most of the floating plant matter into a bowl for later re-filtering. I then put the metal Coffee filter into a medium bowl, shake up a jar and pour into the filter until the filters about half full of trimshake stuff. I then slowly pour some water around in the filter from a pitcher of Icewater (not too much though) and then dip the metal filter in and out of the bowl of water kinda like a teabag (making sure not to let it get too close to the top with water, otherwise you gotta re-filter) and shake it around and back and forth in the bowl of water like a washing machine to dislodge any stuck trichs. Pour plantmatter from metal filter into the other plantmatter bowl I set aside, and pour the Filtered trichs into a clean jar and refridgerate for 30min. I repeated this until all of the original shake was filtered and all of the trich water was jared in the fridge along with the bowl of plant matter for re-screening. 30min later I carefully poured off the exess water in the jars, gave them a good shake, and them poured them all into one jar - my 'master jar' if you will. After that I just repeated the above steps until I stopped seeing the trichs settling on the bottoms of the jars. I then poured off and combined untill it was all in one jar, let sit in the fridge for 30min, then poured off exess as much as possible. I put a paper coffee filter over the top of a big gulp cup and secured it with electrical tape (NO RUBBER BANDS!!) and shook the jar and poured a little into the filter until 3/4 full, and replaced everything into the fridge for a bit until the water finally dripped out of the filter (which takes a while since the Trich's clog the filter quickly) and then repeat until all of your Kief is in the filter, and drained. I then carefull removed the filter and spooned the remaining 'hash' onto a small plate and let sit overnight in the dark under a ceiling fan on medium. The next day I could work with it enough to all it up, and squeeze the hell out of it, and squeeze as much water out of it as I could and compress, compress, compress. Then just let it sit out and dry in a dark breezy place.

the total process took me 3 days (not including drying) but thats because i was doing other things, and just worked on it a little bit at a time.
Phew......well there you go. lolol

Hi 617! Welcome to my garden. I agree with you. somewere around 2oz, over hopefully. It can be touchy growing in such tight space, but with some tweaking it works out fine. I just wish I had the room here for the big guns. Heat is my main issue, but i think thats universal. lol I think you'll find a few 'nugs' of info back in the pages here that will help you thru your grow, and I know myself, and other 420ers would be more than happy to help you with any questions you'll have along the way!!!

Yes, I am also amazed on how sh turned out. A little heat damage from slacking a couple days, but she recovered quite well I think. Now for the hardest part......waiting for them to dry. I hear the Wheel of fortune tune playing in my head while I wait. talk about annoying. lol Thank you for stopping by my little garden and the kind words man!!
