Lil' Girls - Various Strain Continuous Grow Journal

Damn J awesome grow you got going there; man u really know your shit. Anyone that knows anything about anything knows that.

And is that an empty sandwich container being used for a clone home?? I really hope it is..:grinjoint::ganjamon:

WOW, thank you for the 'Kind' words there man. Thats awfull nice of you. I try my bestesest. Now I just need to find another patient or 2 to caregive for and expand a tad more. That would be sweet!

...Actually no, although I've used those sandwich containers in the past, and they do work fine, this ones a jiffy pellet seed starting tray for 6 jiffy pellets. I found the tiniest tray/dome I could since I only need a clone or 2 at a time, and dont have the space usually for the whole 10 x 20 tray. The blue sheet is a light rubber woven mat i use to defuse the light from the 100w HPS for cloning so they dont cook under the 100w in the dome. Once I get the GrowLab (which should have been here today) I'll be switching the veg area to were the bloom is now, and make the bloom area into a clone zone. Then I can have 10x20's in there and clone with a little space. lololol.

thanx for dropping by my friend. It's been quiet here the last few days. lol but thats ok, I've been enjoying the weather. I' waiting for my Papaya to finish so I can give a strain report in your thread. that'll be nice to have some Papaya around. yummy.

Harvest report:

Chrystal:

Total Height: 14.5" (estimated, as I forgot to measure her, so I took a ruler in there were she was and went by memory)

Buds weighed in at 74.9 G dry weight without all the stems.

with a 250w HPS in a 2'x2' area she took up 1 square foot.

thats 62.5watts per sq foot, I yielded OVER 1g per watt!!! WOOHOO!!:yahoo:

If my math is correct then Chrystal yielded for me 1.20806g per watt. SWEET!

Her 3 biggest buds weigh 14.8g, 11.5g, and 10.4g dried. Now for the cure.

I'm impressed with how she did, even after a little heat burn. I hope I can get the other strains to conform to that standard.

So now we know it IS infact possible to get the coveted 1g per 1w, even in a small space with small plants. I'm stoked. (Does the happy dance)

I have some gardening to do, but if I dont get too busy I'll take some pics of her buds and stuff later tonight, or tomorrow if I get carried away.

WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo..................!

Over N' Out!

sounds great j.l., looks good too...like all the separate spaces....i like to compartmentalize also.....been busy in the rooms....posting some pics tonight or tomorrow....went shopping....was not good....had a list, and that always equals money....what i ended up with is a hodge podge of what everyone has recommended over time, had to figure out how to incorporate them into what i use now, and when....so had to redo the receipe sheet for the ferts....they greened up overnight....but now they are growing....will try to start explaining it all on the thread tonight....just wanted to thank you for all the great ideas....later and its all looking terrific guy....lavendar:bravo::bravo:

Hi lavendar. Cool I'll have to stop by your place and check it out for sure. I know how it is with the nute shopping. i can easily get carried away with the shopping too. Go for one thing, get two others. lol I actually just got the General Bio line of organics to test run them for some Hydroponic Organics. Soo far so good. I like what I see soo far, but it's still way too early to tell for sure. Good luck with your new stock. If it's anything I use I'll be glad to drop you some tips on usage. thank you for the kind words too....well back to making lunch. Breakfast for lunch today. Denver Omelettes. yummy.:yahoo:

Congratulations MR J

You are the first person I've ever seen do 1 gram per watt!:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

With out doubt you the man:ganjamon::ganjamon::ganjamon:
OH! and + REPS:ganjamon:

Hi there OMM, thanks for dropping by my busy friend. I hope that it wasnt just luck though. lol you can never tell. the thing is that Cindy99 is supposed to be a medium producer, so once I get a papaya finished (Supposedly heavy producer) I'd like to see if I can beat that personal record. The heat is on... thank you for the reps too. ;)

Now if I can just stay out of the rediculous heat. man. its killing me. I prefer cooler temps much like my plants I tend to wilt above 80. lol Wilting as we speak.

Keep up the great work at your place, and I hope that you have the new thread up soon!! YEA!!!

later,

Very awesome pics of very awesome plants!

And big congrats on the Harvest!

Those are great numbers.

I wish I had more comments but there really aren't any. Great stuff. Period.

:nicethread::bravo::welldone::yahoo: :peace: :rollit:

EDIT: I forget - do you keep a male?

Hi there PapaGreen. thanx for stopping by man and thanx for the congrats. I'm very happy about the numbers, now I gotta get that beat. (GL to me. lol) I think that with a larger set-up it becomes more difficult to achieve that goal. we'll see. With the GL80 I'll have a little more room to spread out the light footprint, and it'll probably drop the yield a touch, but I'm going to try me Bestesest to get that one plant total beat.

Yes, I have a male Papaya in bloom in the breeding chamber now, and I have a clone of it in the veg area incase I need it later, but If all goes well with this pollen collection I'll kill it and make room for a new strain to grow. It'll be either G13 x Purple Nepal or Sour Cream. I'm still on the fence about which one I'll use first.:peace::peace::peace:

I agree that the bigger the setup the harder it is to hit those numbers. Easier to increase over-all yield, but the real efficiency comes in the pruning and if you've got 10 plants instead of 1 that's 10x as much pruning.

The new strains sound super tastey.

Its very cool seeing mature males. Aside from you and Butcher, I can't think of any other breeding up here. I'm sure I've seen some others, but none spring to mind.

:nicethread::thanks::peace:

Beautiful! Congratulations!! ...+reps if I can

Hi ConqueringLOJ! good to see you around man. Thanx for stopping by my little garden man. I'll be doing some re-arranging shortly so feel free to drop by anytime!! That reminds me, I better stop by your place and see how things are doing in your neck of the woods.

I agree with you about the pruning. I'm all about it. I find it to be one of the more rewarding parts of gardening. I like to mess around with experimental pruning and training methods too sometimes. I have a new Idea I was going to try when I have room. prune back all but the main branch and train her around the top edge of a 5gal pot a few times so she gets some age in her, and then let the branches all grow up into colas. Kind of Bonzai meets mary Jane. lol

Yes, they do sound tasty. I'm leaning more toward Sour cream for next Germination just because of the Haze in the genetics. she is SourD x (g13 x Haze) and probably has a little sweet and sour type taste. Interesting, but a stretcher I'm sure, were as the g13 x Purple Nepal is a short squat plant with alot of indica Kung Pao. The G13 used for that cross was an original G13 I had about 7 or 8 years ago. Real Knock you down and hammer your heart out of your chest smoke. I think the Purple nepal indica should mellow it a nit and add some nepal flavor to an otherwise harsh g13. I just hope that the color came thru from the nepal. we'll see I guess.

..and now tht you mention it, I dont see alot of breeding going on in here. I do follow the Butchers breeding thread. It's slow going, and you really have to be meticulous in the labeling and testing of the different phenos but I love having new crosses to work with and all of the possibilities that come with a good cross. I've come across very few I didn't like.

Nice stuff J, Not sure if I asked already but what is your light setup for you breeding chamber where you got your mothers and clones?

Hi Myzz, glad you stopped by. :yahoo: The breeding chamber and veg area are seperate.

The breeding chamber has a dual 2' T5 light over the tops, a 2' cool white tube flourescent on the back wall, and a 24w warm white compact flourescent bulb on each side facing up from below.

The Veg/mom area is 2'x2', 3' ceiling with a 100w Hps sunlight supply MicroMini light.

I hope that helps. feel free to drop by anytime.:)

Sweet, I am thinking of getting a tent for just veg/clones and mothers. Not sure yet but just trying to get some ideas going regarding lights. Who doesnt want a perpetual grow, might divide the tent to suit a veg and clone/mother chamber. Just brainstorming

I hear you there. Perpetuals rock. I have a Growlab GL80 tent on the way. should have been here saturday. ;{ I'm still keeping the veg area in the closet though. if you get a big enough tent you can deffinatly seperate it, with a little planning. Ventillation will be the hardest part of that, but not too hard at all really. Good luck!!

Hey Mr J Did you hit the big sale at attitude? Knowing you you did!:ganjamon: If not, its still going on....hehe! :)

You know, I was going to, but managed to resist. I have quite a few seeds to play with now, and I'm affraid that if I order more I'll risk not even using them for a while, and them dying. I'm probably done ordering for the year. My bloodpressure will thank me. Always goes way up while I wait for the mail. lol

Did you get in on that action?:rollit::rollit::rollit:

Let me know what you think of that tent once you get it. I might buy a small one or two not sure. Might even build a grow box just for mother plants and have a tent just for veg not sure cant wait till i get in the new place so i can figure things out. I am ordering my seeds within the next two weeks going to be about 30 of them. Have you ever purchased from attitude? If so how long do they usually take for their orders to arrive? Ordering 5-5packs all different strains :yahoo:

high!
Yes i'll let you know what i think of it. It should be here today (hypothetically) and I'll post some pics. I'll still have to save for the charcaol filter and a centrifical fan, but it'll still work well with the fan I have now. the one I ordered is 2'7 x 2'7" and 5'11" tall, but there are smaller ones. Boxes work great too, but the one I had designed actually cost more, and this can break down for moving much quicker.

I know that ChicagoJoe just ordered from Attitude a little bit ago, and they took about 20days i think, but right now they have a deal going on for 7 free strains with an order over 30BP. maybe something your interested in. I use The single Seed Centre for purchasing, and twice they have arived on day7 shipping. not as many freeies though.

good luck.
