Light Addict's Fluxing Central - Featuring The Original Flux Journal

I'm so sorry to hear you are out! That is a very scary thought to me...at this point.

Mark did get to smoke with me for 5 months while he was on unemployment. We did nothing, slept late, went wherever we wanted and laughed till we cried. Then that dumb job happened. I can't wait till he stops with this work crap. I wonder if I can keep a perpetual grow going in an RV motor home. That's our dream.

Quiet around these parts! Well, here is a small update of my fluxed two Lemon Kush and four in the grounders. I discovered on the Money Maker strain I have cucumber beetle damage and leaf miners. The plants are healthy so will probably grow through it, but after it rains I may coat all the foliage with Kaolin clay. It gets the beetle dirty and they spend a lot of time cleaning themselves, not eating. That's how Kaolin clay works if anyone was wondering. It works on grasshoppers also. Photo time:

These three are Lemon Kush, all the same plant. I like her.

Lemon Kush flux which 1/2 broke in the wind. I am trying to make two tops out of the remaining side. Ideas? Or just leave it be?

In the ground. Behind these are 4 O'clocks, Bishops Hat, Pride of Barbados and other things to camouflage.

Stealth mode screening using plants and ornament. This would be what the neighbor would see if they could. They can't, but in case...

So far I'm happy with how things are progressing.

I have to get out and defol the ones in the ground and a few on the fluxys. Uch, do I have to name them?

Gonna rain, rain, rain tonight and tomorrow. Hard. Rain barrels all cleaned out and ready. I may put some air stones in my rainwater this year. I really hate when the barrels get rancid. Such a waste of water. I do use pellets of beneficial bacteria for the water, but it still stanks up eventually in the heat.

Ramble...

I don't know how the Oxy Pot System manages the water in the tank, but I'm from the school that it can never hurt to have more oxygen to the roots. I think it also nourishes any microbial activity you have in there with the water. Beneficial, of course. If you nurture beneficial microbes they will replace the anaerobic microbes which work too hard to live in too much oxygen. I never grew anything in a hydro system, so take what I say with a grain of salt. It is simply guessing.

I just thought of something I do do using air in water. I took a 5 gallon bucket and on the bottom I glued with silicone some plastic CATV wire hold downs. After that dried, I used 1/4" soaker hose which they sell at stores which sell parts to install sprinkler or drip irrigation systems. I attached everything together using little plastic T connectors or plain double sided connectors for straight lines and attached all of that to a small aquarium pump. Fill bucket with water and compost and brew. The same thing can be done in your tank. The air will be distributed evenly if you run the soaker tubing (you do know what I am talking about, right?) all on the bottom of your tank with my method of holding it down. It can be in a spiral, or geometric and square at the bottom. Nothing like freshly aerated water. Nice.

Boy, for a broad I'm turned on by strange stuff! I must have been a man for many lives in the past.

GF, I too am a big fan of O2 to the system and the use of compost of all kinds, green waste, vermicompost, EM1 and the such. Used them for yrs while in the golf biz. Growing Hempy now and not sure of the need to incorporate the organics. Any suggestion?

I only grow organically, so if it is going in my body it is definitely organic all the way. I bought a bottle of Fox Farms thinking it was organic because I was tricked by the colorful marketing (which is brilliant BTW) and it is sitting on my counter and probably will never be used. I should go up to the pot shop (pipes and stuff) and give it to those guys. Gorilla growers they are! I found that out by accident when buying papers last time.

Yes, go organic. I don't know where you are so I don't know what brands you have in stores. Try to avoid anything with urea in it. You may as well just use ammonia directly. If you want to know something specific I can try to answer you.
