To all Fluxers seeking Professor Flux's advice:

Just to clarify the last few posts, LA was referring to 865's post #3385 when he first sent it. The pictures were missing. He wasn't telling him not to post pics. In fact he encourages it. It's easier for him to help everyone fluxing if we all post here for advice instead of him floating around from thread to thread.

Just trying to earn browny points with the Professor. It's getting close to mid-terms. LOL...

BAR, I do understand that, I guess my error was copying from another site I post this on.

If the second pic's posted ok then I know not to copy and paste,
Thanks for the info.
Did the last pics post?

:) :) :) BAR, thanks my friend, searching through everyone's fluxes is getting mind scrambling lol. So yes all posts welcome on here! (Brownie points earned :) )

gr865!!!!!!!! Awesome girl. Love how low and spread she is, looks like your gonna do well off her. Id of just spread her as such in veg and then given some extra vert before flip. (I know you tried etc just wasn't supposed to bee her time etc.) Yet ive seen people trying from start do nowhere near as good a job! So well done :)
Lush looking buds though for sure. :) Thank you for sharing :):)

Lady D :) :) this is for you and others just beginning to flux! :)

Ok firstly just a pic of a topped girl!

This shows the 2 new points that grow from topping point. These are the points you train out as your main flux arms once established enough.
20140507_145618.jpg

This next shows these points being trained out into flux arms. Notice the very center, because I didn't nip off the fan leaves that came out just below topping point they have caused an uneven joint!
20140507_145700.jpg

With this one, the fans were taken early on, giving a more even join point in center! Better for flow etc.
In this pic though you see the main flux arms from above and the new node growth points that are the points you train out as individual limbs! :)
20140507_145852.jpg

Now along the flux arms you take every other node off whilst really young. The ones that naturally come off the sides of flux arms are kept! Then the next along is an under and over set of nodes. These get cleared away. Then repeat as she grows! :)

Hope this aids some people :) :)

LA, I notice your plants are very tight and compact. Can I assume that is the strain or is it the technique? I ask, (and I'll give you photos later) because my two fluxes are not as tight. I don't know how well Lemon Kush is going to do, but mine look stringier than yours do. I'm also starting to realize another concern of mine. Where I live there is generally always a prevailing wind from the west. It can gust up to 50mph on windy days. So far, this spring is not showing heavy wind, but there have been years where the wind was incredible every day for months. Should I be concerned with breaking major arms under these conditions?

Hey GF
OK I get asked this quite a bit lol. My ability to keep my girls small and compact in veg is due to me using CFL lighting really close. Now this bit goes against the norm :) I use a mixture of Kelvin bulbs, most are actually what others flower under :) Then we have the fact that they are started in tiny pots and mistreated by me! (No temp control, no humidity etc)
Then my simple opening up of the plants top a few times a day promotes the compact form. :) Now if you want you can start part crushing nodes! I use this sometimes to stack my plants up a little more. Basically just pic a node and crush between finger and thumb. Growth will stall above that point. Below this node growth continues and helps stack your nodes up some!
Also use extreme defol to stunt her from the stretch. They need foliage to stretch take it away and your golden.
As for winds the flux design gives you sprung limbs that are fighting constantly to pull up and in. Id bet the design can handle a good gust etc yet a wind break might be a plan to organize now rather than later.

Hope that helps. Ill go through stuff in detail if required just post pics here! :)

Okay, cool LA. Before I even prepared the bed for the plants I chose a spot which is protected, but will get very good air circulation. This is all so new to me! I am excited to be doing this. I'm going to remove all the lower foliage today (evening when it isn't 150 degrees) from all the plants. I will post photos. A very interesting phenomena is happening. The LK and WWxBB are all beautiful, no damage, no signs of infestations or disease. The Money Makers are host to leaf miners and cucumber beetles. At least the beetles are what I saw around. Just that strain so far. I'm not going to treat. I'm going to maintain as healthy a plant as possible.

Fortunately, the night temps are going to go into the 50s again all week at night which suits me fine because I can use all the slowed growth possible. I was telling Mark this morning the same thing because I really don't think we want 15 foot plants in the ground. Of course he said, why not, and I laughed. Poor guy is still refraining until he is sure the job won't spring a test. I think it's been his 6th week so I doubt it, but he's waiting. I wish he could just get high. Soon.

Looking forward to your pics GF :) Also my heart goes out to your man! Once he knows hes safe you two are gonna have such great times all high as hell on your super organic girls bounty ! :) Happy Daze Indeed!
Im bloody out of smoke lol. So its back to sleepless nights for me! All my pennies are caught up in moving soon so ill probably be mostly dry until my crop which is months away still. Mind you thats why they aint getting a really big veg this run :)
