Light Addict's Fluxing Central - Featuring The Original Flux Journal

Big REPS for that circle of flux Trich. Again thanks for asking about me. I answered on BARS journal so don't want to repeat myself and sound like a cry baby. As I said before once I become a certified I'm doing the circle.:420: ROCKS.

In here, latinbudder, you got that right! IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CIRCLE:circle-of-love: when learning to flux,

I just realized I left lb out the ever increasing fluxrgy "lb, Azz, GF, & D" I can't use the o in that word, I'm a bad boy,

right Azz? lol nickname potential right there:cheertwo:

High Light :passitleft: I decided I don't want to be in the real world anymore today so I am jumping off the cliff and going fluxing....:yahoo:.. I found this little treasure and think it will fit perfectly right in the middle of my flower garden in the back. If I drill some small holes in the bottom and put the hydrotone in there too for drainage do ya think it will work and it that the right kind of training wire???
I just decided this after I left my appointment so to say I have no idea where to even begin is an understatement so if this will work you sorta know what I have growing and I certainly can pop something else if these are all to big already or something but I was sorta thinking maybe the Wild Thai but then again I don't even know what and where to top her so I guess I should go read this journal but I would really rather be a pest and have you just tell me from the beginning what to do but realizing that is a bit much to ask of anyone that has this journal to do I shall start reading but please let me know if my starting supplies will work. Thank you kind Sir..:circle-of-love:

The only thing you are missing is the drill, holes on the lip of ornamental and of cause which ever strain you chose. I'm not an expert but I would chose a strain that like to stretch. LA will take it from there.:thumb:

See what I mean that's why I don't go on 420. I started out just checking my email, then made one post, then I saw Dennise's post, decided to help now can't take a shower before I move my car or I will get a ticket of $65.00. I still think

Hey all apparently I unsubbed myself from my own journal!!!! lol thought this thread had gone a bit quiet! He he my flux up :)
Im back in residence now folks sorry fir the delay in class! :)

So lets get going again.:)
BAR OZ was spot on except strip them limbs of the new growth along their length. You are wanting one bud per branch only so you take off new node growth as each limb grows untill you let go vert.
MsBadger for the reasons above is why you strip the the plant as she grows. Having each branch just pushing one Cola you get the big big buds. Also it just makes things less hassle with less crowding and bud sites developing all at different levels and stages! :)
As for difference in this and my Tutt style, this is far easier. The tutt style is a vertical LST that you manipulate along as she grows. Its far more harmonies than fluxing where you demand complete control over her form. Also you develop multiple bud sites per limb with tutt style! Its alot more involved for sure demanding hours of attention.
Dennise looking good, the tubb the wire all A OK :)
Trich buddy remember she will collapse out and down frrom the pot so she will sit lower than you imagine. Also I carry on lowering and spreading my girls all through flower! :)

If I missed anything just holla Im back here I promise! :)

I have a question regarding Dennise's plant; can't she remove the foliage on the plant she wants to flux and sink it in the soil right up to where she tops it? Would that whole stem develop roots? I would think the center of gravity would then go deeper in the container with much longer and more of a mass of roots.

?

Hey MM manny thanks for the warm welcome :) Hey by the way dont let Sweet hog all the stuff he gets soon! :)

I will do my very best, but SweetLeef, he's a wily one! He has to be watched... :) As soon as I can stash enough money away for equipment I will start a grow of my own. I will do some high CBD strains for tinctures and oils in order to slow the progression of my disease. Sweet ordered a couple of auto seeds for me last night so he can get them going for me. The highest CBD's are clones but our laws recently changed here and until the industry catches up clones aren't available. How's that for more information than you asked for!!:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Latin, just wanted to say how sorry I am that you -and everyone else like you- have to deal with ongoing pain. I have to deal with a lot of things with my disability but pain is not usually one of them. May you flux the best pain meds the world has ever seen! :peace::circle-of-love:

It looks like next week we'll have some temps in the 50s at night and then the big warm up...PLEASE?!?!?!?!?!

I will in and out the plants till they harden off and I am shooting for end of April in the ground and containers. My only fear with containers is going to be keeping the plants watered. I don't know how much water a cannabis plants is going to use every day. I bought two more rain barrels which we're hooking up this weekend, so that will give me a few hundred more gallons of rainwater for them. Once it stops raining in about June, that's basically IT or in Scotland, ET. I'll have to pH adjust my 7.8 city water.

Hey, I know you don't grow outside, but I had this thought about water the other day. When I do run out of rain, if I filled the barrels with tap water and let it sit there for a week or so, do you think the chloramine will dissipate? I know chlorine will, but this other disaster chem, who knows. I really have been considering a whole house filter. I have the softener, now I need to filter it. No more chloramine and fluoride.

I have noticed in the fluxing that you do not transplant. Could a person use a 15 gal pot for a normal grow or a scrog and not worry about the roots growing faster than the plant?

I have a lot of :reading420magazine: to do :phew:

here's a reasonable link on chloramine reduction: Removing Chloramines From Water | MoreBeer
standing water will eventually allow dissipation of chloramine but it would take a lot longer than a week. according to that link, it would take around 40-45 days to get the chloramine to dissipate. some combination of granulated activated charcoal filters (Brita) and RO filtering seem to be the most practical.

aquarium sites and beer sites had the most useful links in my google run on that topic.

chlorine and chloramine would have the most impact on organic living soil grows, as they chemicals can be lethal to the desired soil organisms.

Onavelzy great having you here for the technical stuff my friend!

while i was looking into living soil i came across this filter that works using a garden hose, so sounds ideal for outdoor grows. no info there on verification of claims other than testimonials. interestingly, it doesn't use the most common approach, granulated activated carbon but uses zinc and copper. no experience with it. might be worth researching further. caveat emptor

Ok fellow fluxers here the latest. Three WW's 2 fem and in flux and an Auto I just tied down a little. I have on question LA as I will be flipping the 2 fluxers in about another week. Trying to time my vacation in July plus pretty soon it will be to hot. Should I get rid of all the mini veg in the center or leave it on. As always any and all advice is advised. :welcome:
