Lexort's Kaneh Bosm CFL Garden

Hahaha maybe I misunderstood lol unless you mean boots with Mickey mouse on them then im afraid im unfamiliar with the term lol. And whats a gurnt? Lol.

Ahhh.... now you've made the memories flow.... sorry you did that. Now I gotta spew a bunch of semi-sentimental babble.

A "grunt" is my reference to a US Army Infantry soldier. Kinda the spot where the rubber meets the road. Generally, folks like to avoid being given this assignment. It tends to lead to shorter lifespans. The word "grunt" is a reference meant to be somewhat degrading. We, however, used it as a moniker of honor. When one is swimming in a world of turds, the phrase "grunt" as an insult is just humor to the swimmers.
Anyway... a decade or two (or 3 or 4 dammit!) ago, a very young Tead found himself re-assigned from a nice warm nerdly position directly into a world of grunts who were very used to surfing the turdbowl. I mean, really... one day working in a comm center... next day beating the bushes. Crazy shift. I had seen Infantry grunts make the move to softer jobs over the years, but shifting the other way was very unusual.
It took a while. The horse bucked many, many times.... but Tead hung on. After a while, I discovered that I was totally in the right place. Working in those comm centers was SO FUCKING BORING. Things that go "bang" are generally much more fun than things that go "beep". It wasn't long before I was surfing that turbowl with the others.
I spent many years enjoying my youth. I can remember every fun occasion with sparkling memories. The rough memories grow more distant as time passes. Many of my fellow warriors are still friends I keep contact with. One of them was even living around the corner from me for a while... 'till the drink caught up with him.

Thanks for the memories Lex.

Lol im glad i brought back good memories for ya lol. Ya see i was thinking you were talking about a childhood memory of some boots with mickey mouse designs on them then today once you commented again i thought about it and remembered when i was a little younger that my former friends dad had a pair and that is what he called them as well lol. O and thank you for your service to our country tead! I have the utmost respect for soldiers. I wanted to join up but i have too many health problems and i know I would never get in lol. Hmmm i suppose you know what a john wayne bar is huh? Lol. Got plenty of family in the military so im familiar with a decent amount of terminology lol.

Lol ya that's basically what my cousin said about his time in the army lol

Looks good lex,and when i was in the army they give what they call matterhorns for cold weather boots. I still have mine from cold weather training and there awesome. Sorry for going off topic

Hey fopho thanks and those look to be good boots lol i had to look em up. Thank for your service and no need to say sorry for going off topic i like when people tell stories it gives life to this site other wise we would only have cold hard facts and thats a dry read. Only gotta worry about being off topic if a mod has a problem with it cause I don't lol.

How's that deficiency looking bro? Improved any? Sending good vibes your way man :passitleft:

If your referring to the girls in flower with the phosphorus deficiency then im not super sure how its doing all i do know is that the purple isnt spreading i think i need more time to be able to tell if its truly better. Thanks for the good vibes they are always welcome lol

Matterhorns were the Danner model of boots most folks preferred back in those days. As for fopho getting them issued to him/her rather than having to go out and buy his own.... well, apparently they spoiled some soldiers.
I can't tell you how much I loved my Danner Matterhors. Had the first pair of them gifted to me. I re-soled them twice. Lotta miles.... lotta memories.

I have a pair of steel toe combat boots that ive worn for years and i think they are vibram or something like that and they are in pretty good shape and they were gifted to me by a friend. Had black pair before that the brand was beville or something like that i miss those boots. I wear combat boots cause they are durable and if I wear any kind of sneaker I'll burn threw so many pairs of them. Been wearing combat boots for going on 10 years havent bought a pair of sneakers since.

I'll have to check them out. I been looking for a new pain for a while im not as fond of the tan boots and that is what I have been wearing for quite few years now and at the heel of thebottom its been worn down alot i guess I walk funny lol

Here's some pictures from the flowering box i turned off the led and used a cfl to take the pictures. You will see in some of the pictures the phosphorus deficiency
