Lexort's Kaneh Bosm CFL Garden

Damn, that's cold, Weasel! BB -- does anyone WANT that much character? heh heh heh

Looking good, lexort!
Hey GG thanks for dropping by and i totally agree with you lol

Ha ha. No not really. Part of my 'character' is that I got frostbite in so many fingers and toes over the years that most of them start to hurt and burn like crazy when they get at all cold- I don't have many working blood vessels left as they mostly froze to death. Oh well, at least I still have them all, though I'm sure I would have even more character if I was missing a bunch. Had to flee to slightly warmer places though.
Damn that sucks weasel! See i thought i had it bad what with my poor circulation and old injuries that certainly flare up in the winter but frostbite scew that lol. On a side note i have found as the years go on each winter i notice more and more that im becoming kinda like a reptile lol i have to get as close to the heater as i can or else I will freeze. The misses always is amazed at how cold i get just sitting in our home, she will be warm as hell and i will be cold as ice lol. Im starting to really regret all the stupid stuff i did when i was younger my body is pretty battered and I can feel it most in the winter months. Enough of my ramblings though lol

I was reading of your cold and remembered a little dance I did once when I had to leave for a week and wanted to keep some seedlings warm in a big plastic tote. I put an old school heating pad (sans fabric) underneath the tote. It worked perfectly.
Of course, our versions of 'cold' differ wildly...
If i had one of those blankets i would probably use it too lol im sure it works really well. Lol our temps most certainly differ alot lol i see the temps for New Orleans and think hmmm that's not bad at all I'd prefer that lol.

It hit 76 in my neck of Pooh's Corner today.

See you just made my point lol i would prefer 76F to my 12F with a feels like -3F lol

The North is a beautiful place. Like all beautiful wild places on this planet it's changed a ton over the last couple decades. Don't let a little cold scare you off. You just need warm clothes! Once you go far north the temps warm again from the effects of the Arctic Ocean. We lived out in the bush in BC and the government paid us to record weather on the side. We recorded the lowest temp ever in BC at that time, -74 degrees, which is about -59 Celsius. I don't know if it's still the record. It's incredibly beautiful and strange when things get that cold. Best described as living in an extremely hostile environment, where any false move can kill you- just like being in space or deep sea diving. A lot of strange weather effects would happen. We used to get a lot of ice fog- which is a thick fog made of tiny ice crystals floating around. The sun would shine through it sometimes and make crazy distortion and rainbow effects. Hoarfrost would build up on the snow, the trees, and every possible surface, so everything was covered in huge crystals sometimes 3 and 4 inches in size. Just walking around you'd feel like you were destroying a jewelry display. Otherworldly. As a kid it was heaven. I'm not sure I'd want to deal with the logistics of it all now.
The way things are going those cold temperatures are a thing of the past, till some sort of human induced ice age event hits us I suppose.
Scuze all the weather talk, lol.

Wow weasel all i have to say is wow! Im sure as long as not all of Canada is that cold I will get around to going to Canada to see the sites lol. Just not sure i could live in the yukon or BC lol as pretty as it looks there i just don't think they make cloths warm enough for me lol

I did a little cold weather training once in Japan and got to survive outside in the joy. No -74 mind you... but existing fully outside at -20 is still a real issue. Slept in a snow cave... snowshoes and Mickey Mouse boots.
Those sorts of memories make the gumbo a bit more palatable.

Hahaha Mickey mouse boots im gonna guess its been awhile since then lol

UPDATE
Veg girls are doing well enough wendy (left) is doing better with the higher strength nutes and Mary (right) will be getting cloned even though im not sure how it will go she's been putting out "duck foot" leaves again its weird but I managed to clone her last time she did this so I'm hoping I can again.

In the flowering box the wendy clones are ok i think im not totally sure because I have never dealt with a phosphorus deficiency before so im not sure how to tell when its fixed. I have been a little worried about them because they seem a bit scrawny but it is still early so I'm going to be patient. It just because im still getting use to all the new stuff in my setup, new lights, new method of growing, new medium for growing. Anyways here's the

Nah, the Yukon isn't cold in summer. BC's pretty big, and a lot of it (where all the people live) isn't even very cold in winter. You're more likely to catch a chill in eastern Canada, or wherever you are now, apparently, lol.
