LED Trinity Grow - Round 1

Hi everyone.
Just a little update on the trellis situation while I'm waiting for my cordless drill to charge up. I got some 3/4 inch PVC tubing and some elbow joints at Home Depot and put this little contraption together. I also have some extention pieces that I can use to make it taller or shorter, if need be. I'm also going to put some screws in the top at 4 inch intervals so I can wrap twine around them for a cheap trellis. What do you all think? I'm pretty proud of myself. :)

Going to check up on my girls tonight to change their water and add new nutrients, more LST on the Kush, and possibly tie her down. Also gotta start LST on Widow but not to sure where to start cause she is such a round little bush right now. Hopefully the spots where I topped her will help the situation.

you might want a little smaller spacings , mine are 2 inches.

Good Evening everyone ;)

Time for another quick update, Day 35 from seed. I visited the girls tonight and all is well in weedland. The Girls are growing so fast its almost visible.
I changed the water tonight with fresh H2O and nutes, PH'd the water and did some landscaping. The water temps are much better now with the ice bottles , and no PH fluctuations at all. Topped the Widow twice more tonight but the stems are too short to do much bending yet. I did some more LST on the Master Kush, I actually tied her down in 3 spots to open her up.
Both girls are looking very healthy, and again, no smell in room, untill I open the closet doors and then it hits you like a wall of scent:)

Today's Stats
PPM=810
PH=5.8
Water temp=71.7F and dropping cause I just put new ice pack.
Air Temp=82.5
RH=51%

The girls tonight, Before any work was done. 35 days from seed.

Everything running like clockwork in the closets now. I'm hoping the girls stretch out a little more before I flip to flower (12/12 LED schedule) which will be in about another week or so.

looks friggn wicked man! i cant wait to get my second grow going. i just picked up my LED light today. these journals are kick ass, you can learn soo much on here. do you have any tips with the LED light?

Hi Rockbuddz, Thanks for the compliments:) This is my first/second grow with the LED's but one thing I have noticed from first to second grow is distance from plants. I find that the plants seem to do better when its about 24-36 inches above the canopy. I had it closer at the beginning of my grow and the leaves were curling, I moved it further away and they doing well. Same for my Blue Mystic grow, I started right from the beginning at about 2 feet above the plants canopy and they are thriving. Still tight nodes spacing, and no curling.;)

I want the plants to cover almost all the surface area of the reservoir, then I'll flower and it should fill in the rest of the closets surface area and then grow up with lots of big fat frosty nugs I hope. :)

this is really good info my friend. mental note 2ft away from the plants. im still growing in dirt for now. but maybe one day ill go Hydro. is it any easier?

Not sure, to be honest Rockbuddz, this is my first grow period. I did a ton of research, reading, watching videos and taking notes, and still having probs but nothing I haven't been able to resolve so far. I do know that "they" say Hydro grows faster and yields more, buts its less forgiving than soil growing. Power outage last week almost killed everything!!

ya that would suck..no air in the water for them roots..our power went out recently. but it was for a split second. my plants were asleep. maybe the 3rd time around ill try hydro. where did you get your seeds? if you dont mind me asking

I got the Kush and Widow from buydutchseeds.com and I got all my other seeds from Royal Queen Seeds. Mail order, delivered within 2 weeks and discreet packaging.

awesome im going to check it out. ive been looking for site but seem shady. but ive wanted to speak to someone with a personal experience first before ordering seeds.

I like RQS personally, I got some free Royal Automatic AK seeds and 5 Critical seeds free cause of the other stuff i ordered and they also sent me blank post cards and rolling papers free. All their seeds are feminized. Hope I don't sound like a commercial. I just had a good experience with them. ;)

hmm...cant complain about the free stuff thats awesome! soo many strains to choose from. i dont know what to choose!
 
CRAP!!! we just had a thunder storm pass and we lost power again!!! Just enough to reset the clocks. Now I gotta make sure everything running properly in closets. The Surge protectors were probably tripped again.

Good Morning everyone;)

We lost power again last night around 1am due to a big Thunder storm, Luckily I was awake and able to make sure the closets were good. They did lose power again, but I was able to reset the surge protectors, and no damage was done. Phew!!

Damn those thunderstorms.

Do you have a wifi signal down at closet? I don't know how computer-savvy you are, but I could think of a couple of ways for you to get notified when there's no more power.

You could for example get a wifi webcam (one that connects straight to a router) and even take a look at your babies from the comfort of your home. Once offline, there are a few notification services like Website performance and availability monitoring that would send you an email.

It's probably gonna be somewhere around $50-100 though...

I've thought of it, and prob will get one in the future, cause this is going to be a perpetual cycle grow in my two closets.(3 sections) I've dropped way to much money already though, gotta get some grows under my belt before I buy any more toys I don't strictly need for growing.
