LED Trinity Grow - Round 1

Hey stealthgrow, nice setup mate. Girls are coming along nicely, good recovery! The roots look much better.
I'd second ronnie's suggestion on the DMZone, I think it's a must for hydro and lower maintenance than h2o2 (though I have to admit I've not used h2o2).

Your led looks like the same make as mine - I've got the 6 spot though so it's a bit smaller. On the dark UV diode debate earlier, I've got the same, a few of the diodes are dark to the eye. They're definitely uv (they're included in the detail on the product specs that came with mine). but they are more visible in photos, I think its one of the reasons they come out so purple.

Great grow mate, looking forward to seeing this one progress. Looks like they're recovering nicely and are about to take off.

I second that. Great customer service. I have some Aurora Indica sprouted :)

Nice, Next time maybe I'll try Nirvana just for the variety. :)
I got tons of seeds though, and with the clones I can make I don't think I'll need any seeds for a year or more.

Hi everyone!!:)

Had a great weekend at the cottage, very relaxing. :reading420magazine:
Got home this evening, had a quick shower and went to visit the girls, lots of work to do tonight. I hadn't seen the girls since last Wednesday (4 days), needless to say I was pretty anxious to make sure everything was going well. I opened the door to the closet and was very pleasantly surprised. ;)
The girls are doing awesome at 39 days from seed, they looking very healthy and they are almost the size I want them to get to before I flower them.
All three places I tied down on the Master Kush were stretching out to angle themselves back up towards the light. and lots of tops:) I did some more LST on the Kush and one of the branches I supercropped. The White Widow is still a little bush, just a bit bigger of a little bush than last week:) I'm trying to open the widow up a little so i can LST her more but the FIM that I did at the 4th node has made her very short with very tight internode spacing. I did my best to open her up tonight by tucking the big fan leaves underneath the smaller top sites that were shaded. I still haven't really pruned them at all, just a couple dried up leaves here or there or that were buried underneath the bush and not getting any light at all. I'm gonna wait to do any major trimming until they reach the trellis I made for them.
Finally I installed my DIY trellis tonight, and I think it looks pretty good and will definitely do its job. I put screws into the top of the PVC tube 3 inches apart, and then ran waxed twine around all the screws to make the net. I also have the original net that came with the closet that I can use as a secondary support if needed. Everything is running so smooth I almost don't want to jinx it. I'm knocking real hard on any wood surface I can find:wood: :)
As soon as the girls hit the trellis I'm flipping to flower. I give it another week.
Tonight's Stats
PPM=740
PH=5.8
Air temp=83F
Water temp=69.6F and dropping cause just put new ice pack.

Finally I did some LST on the girls and found a couple of leaves with a little nutrient burn, or maybe its sunburn from the foliage spray I used that wasn't completely evaporated when the lights turned back on.

The girls were roughed up a little again tonight but should recover nicely in a couple of days for the next update. Hope everyone has a great night and a great week, and stay medicated my friends. ;)

Plants look great. Very healthy. How did you get the screws into the pvc?
+reps
Bonjour Cajun!! Thanks for the reps, I pre-drilled the holes with my drill and a slightly smaller drill bit than the screws, and then just screwed em in. :)

Everything is coming along very well Stealth! Awesome job on the screen. I really like how that looks. It is crazy how bushy your WW is. How are the roots looking? +repps for the screen. :goodjob:

Thanks for the compliments and the reps rain. Ya, like I said in the update its running like clockwork now, The widow is almost to bushy, I'm having a really hard time stretching her out. I FIM'd her at the 4th node when she was tiny, and she grew 5 tops off the FIM and bushed out like crazy instead of up, which was the point i guess.:) I learned my lesson though , I'm not gonna FIM that low again, only upper branches once the plants have a little height. The roots are doing alright, still has a dark ring around the top of the roots just above where the water line is. Talked to my local Hydroponic store guy and he said to lower my reservoir lvls to about 6 inches below the bottom of the net cups to allow for more "breathing" of the roots, and to continue to use the O2 at about 2-3ml/gal. So far I've only been using 1ml/Gal or less. The guy at the store said that lvl of dose is really for maintenance not problem solving. I'm going to back to my grow tonight to check up on them and add some O2 and i'll snap a couple of pics. The roots on my Blue Mystic grow are doing awesome.:)
