I’m not familiar with them but I know that there’s several members using @ViparSpectra,@VIVOSUN and @Mars Hydro. They all make fantastic lights and get fantastic results. @ViparSpectra has a great deal on its newest model the XS-1500. CLJust wondering what other growers think of the Black dog led lights. The grows I have seen done with them have all been very good! They have been around a fair while!Just wondering what other growers think of the Black dog led lights. Their supposed to have better quality leds. Thanks in advance
Yeah but is that the newest top bin or the last upgrade? You’re gonna want the newest Samsung or Osram leds. CLThey don't list what type of LED's they use, other than "Top Bin", which is what they (and many other manufacturers) say they use.
I would check out their reviews and see what people that are owners think about them. CLThe grows I have seen done with them have all been very good! They have been around a fair while!
Says on their website that they Osram and Epistar Diodes!!
They are a top end light like HLG or similar!!
Mate they are one of the best LEDs on the market!!I would check out their reviews and see what people that are owners think about them. CL
I didn’t say anything bad about them except if it was me, that’s IF it were me I would want to know what people that own one thinks. CLMate they are one of the best LEDs on the market!!
If you find any reviews from genuine owners I doubt they will be saying anything negative about them!!
I think they are over priced personally!!I didn’t say anything bad about them except if it was me, that’s IF it were me I would want to know what people that own one thinks. CL

Why do you think they are one of the best if you also think they are overpriced ? At 2.50ish per watt, I would agree, they are VERY Overpriced.I think they are over priced personally!!
I think all high end LEDs are over priced!!Why do you think they are one of the best if you also think they are overpriced ? At 2.50ish per watt, I would agree, they are VERY Overpriced.
Plus... if they're so good, why do they need fans? The energy it should be putting out is LIGHT, not HEAT.
Couldn’t agree more @Skunksta , my first lite was a 60w 75dollar lite, it grew decent plants but I had to keep the lite 4 inches from the plants, and the plants always got crispy by chop day. My new lite for the price is awesome, you don’t need to spend over 200 bucks to grow great plants, I don’t care how expensive your lite is your either a grower or your not. You grow nice plants @Skunksta I’m looking forward to your next grow1000$ for a 400 watt light price does matter to most people in these troubled times.
As i said its a good light if you was buying one 5 years ago.
Now its just old tec and as for the build anything with fans in prone to fail.
Collect dust and make silly noises who wants a hoover in your home grow room 18/12 hours a day.
Again good lights way over priced for very old tec.
Sorry friend thats just a fact
I am not curious, I simply know from my personal homework that fans are never a good plan in a place where there is a lot of moisture, they fail every time, and if your light *needs* a fan, that is simply energy being wasted imo.I've no idea why they still use fans maybe you should email and ask them if your curious.
You don't have any fans for air movement in your indoors grows?I am not curious, I simply know from my personal homework that fans are never a good plan in a place where there is a lot of moisture, they fail every time, and if your light *needs* a fan, that is simply energy being wasted imo.
I have fans for air movement on my plants and an exhaust fan because the driver/ ballast isn’t removable on my light and if I don’t the temperature skyrockets in my tent. CLYou don't have any fans for air movement in your indoors grows?
Yes of course I use fans for air movement, I do not have fans on my lights however (they do not get hot enough to need fans onboard)... which is what we were discussing, I assumed that was clear, sorry. You don't have any fans for air movement in your indoors grows?
Yeah the other bloke was saying fans are not a good idea which I thought was a strange comment considering fans are an absolute necessity indoors!!I have fans for air movement on my plants and an exhaust fan because the driver/ ballast isn’t removable on my light and if I don’t the temperature skyrockets in my tent.
