Recovery 2 weeks after overwatering

Hey everyone hope we’re all good at this midweek point

Had an enforced darkness last night in the tent. Was waiting for payday today, electric was due to run out at 2:30am and really didn’t want to be out and about trying to find somewhere open (it’s a bit like Mad Max where I live after dark )

So just a little over 24 hours in darkness before resuming.

I’ve had it worse where I’ve had to take grows down halfway through and have them stashed in the back of a van for 2 days and not really noticed a problem. That was photos too so with the autos untouched in the tent think they’ll be ok.

Can definitely see the damage that was done overwatering nearly 2 weeks ago, used the old adage of “leave the leaf” as it’s an indicator to whether the problem is getting worse.

All new growth and buds look like they’re filling out nicely and no more mellow yellow. Wish they all looked like plant at the top right but haven’t had them out to have a look at individually. Think I might have some contenders there

Will be at the end of week 6 starting week 7 Friday. I’m going to follow the science from @InTheShed and not flush these even though it goes against 17-18 years growing

Little update on the pharmacy and well-being side of things.

I’m back on the tablets. Thought it was all going ok until I got into parking wars with a builder doing work in my block.

After a morning of thinking of how I’m going to dispose of his body realised it’s probably a good idea if I stay on them and not try to play shaman with shrooms

Getting the curing jars ready

those jars won't quite seal as much as you want. longer term storage needs something that won't allow outside air and pathogens in. those are fine for jam in the fridge, but fall down fast if you need to store for any time. treat your harvest well. there's a good one brewing.

you really want a mason or other type of sealer jar. jars with a sealer ring are best, there are some mason type jars with a single piece top, those are ok too, but i'd only use them a few times as the seal top will deteriorate. i often re-use pasta sauce jars that come in masons with the single top.

wash with a liberal amount of liquid laundry detergent instead of dish soap. it will remove even trichomes welded to the glass sides. i usually will put a few oz of laundry soap in to the jar, fill 3/4 with hot water, cap, and shake. then wash with jar brush as normal.

where the hell are you buying these gold plated mason jars ?

i've literally got racks of the things unopened since i over bought at canning season last yr when they were on sale.
a dozen quart size wound up at $1cad each or $12. quart size - 750 - 1000ml - are about perfect.

i'm thinking you may get more than what you estimate. it's a good idea to plan for longer term storage if you intend to do consecutive grows.

after cure it takes a min of 1 month jarred solid to cure in without opening. the jam jar type lids can't hold it.

those are ok. but not perfect if just doing loose bud. look in to cob curing if you have a vacuum packer.

I’ve had a look online mate, the difference in air pressure contained is really not that different between the two. There’s a wider rim on mason jars and that bit of rubber but both used for exactly the same thing. Canning and preserving jam/fruit. Just seems to be horses for courses

Like I said I’ve used both sets before and not really noticed any difference. I used to get my best curing results in an old painters bucket with a seal lid.

I’ve gone with the jam jars so I don’t offend anyone here with the bucket method

Will have a look at the cob curing, I’ve never heard of it before

I’ve taken one down. The one in the top left of previous pics that I severely overwatered. Plant was dying, yellow started way too early. Think I’ve got about 10-14 grams off it when dried of I’m lucky

Plants as a whole look 55-60% done. Some could go down tonight but I know that’s just itchy trimmer fingers

Going 2 nights of darkness from tomorrow just to speed them up. Have got a nice bit of shine on some. Getting ready for the next round too

Lol speak for yourself, I don’t struggle at flower made a mistake with the overwatering. Starting to wish I hadn’t come back

I think I’ll be surprised with final weight still. 9 plants in there so should count for something. I’ve took the worst one down so things can only get better

You flower just fine Not saying it’s pretty. It’s been hand to hand fighting in the trenches to get to the end of this grow

Once I snipped away all the dead looking stuff clinging on, there was some decent looking bud underneath and I’m happy with the eye-weight of the 2 I took down last night
