Hey manBy the way, I’ve had Durban from a dispensary once upon a time. I wasn’t blown away by the taste by any means. I’m sad to say that because it just seems the genetics have been so poorly maintained it seems.
You SA guys, does your Durban’s ever go purple or is this a result of genetic infiltration?
In my opinion the Durban available these days is rather watered down. I got some from a friend who got it from a local guy and it was half purple but really lame. I was disappointed to say the least.
That said I have had Durbs purple late in flower due to temp drops but it's also not the same purple that's popular in US and Europe.
The real deal is incredibly potent and quite similar to land race Malawi.
A couple pulls and you will start with a rollercoaster ride (can be too much for occasional smokers) and then it settles out into a super clear high with no stone at all. Have crazy focus and lots of energy. No noticeable come down and no weed hangover. I have a feeling that it may have a lot to Do with thcv . It's definitely looses some of the rollercoaster after about a month in the jars and then just have that up clear high with no heart pounding or paranoia.
The land race dp smells like pine, lemon, berries and candy floss. There is only a whiff of aniseed scent. It's not the main smell.
Even in our climate I've lost a couple plants so I guess that's just the name of the game.
