Landrace Durban Poison Outdoor Grow

Okay, took me a second but I'm all caught up on your journal. Beautiful plants there Lerugged, my favorite is the gal with the super even canopy and healthy sugar leaves and bud sites. That being said, all your gals are beauties to be proud of for sure!

So today I'm a little stuck. Found this on my plants and Not sure if it's a result of the wind hammering them and then two days of very hot weather. Can't match it to any of the defiencies in the charts and I can only think it's wind burn. She has had her last nitrogen feed yesterday and a thorough watering. Some tips that were whipped against each other are all tattered. Will leave the below pics in case someone recognises the issue. Happy vibes to all.
Hi im from S.A aswell west coast please have a look at my plant, what do you use for nitrogen?

Hi guys. What would be the point of growing Pondo? There are so many good strains out there, I just can't imagine why someone would devote their time to Pondo. I recently flowered a plant from bag seed and it's nice to have something to smoke but not worth the time and effort in my humble opinion.

Evening mr.Green I agree there are better seeds/strains out there, I've been collecting landraces as I go along and I've never heard of pondo until last week really....hahaha, it's not a sativa strain that was local to me here in kzn so it's nice to add to my collection, and as you mention from sometimes it's not worth it but some folk like to spend time cultivating an amazing sativa, I have a couple in my garden from Bagseed that I almost gave up on but now they running for pole position...haha I stopped over in you journal earlier looking good brother..... :ganjamon::snowboating:

Evening @Tabenf im also a saffa from kzn nice to meet you, you can use nitrosol for nitrogen.... Don't be shy start a journal and share your grow with us brother, there's plenty of folk who will gladly help if not just tag me @Smeegol and I reply with any help I can,,,,,:snowboating:

Sup @Smeegol I understand if you have the space and letting it grow at a low cost.. or I suppose even just to see what the best is that it could be.. also, here in SA, it’s not that easy to get hold of good strains, be it seed or clone. Happy to meet you bro. Grow journals are the way to go!

Space is a must I do agree...haha awsome meeting ya brother...... We have a few local banks not sure if you tried them yet..... But I tend to watch and wait and if I see a good strain I like then I plead with the piggy bank....haha

Actually saw a strain ( pure sativa not that I was looking for sativa ) called London Pound Cake which sounds very interesting.......but I'm more of an indica guy or hybrid type mainly for my back meds...
Sativas are good for gardening or having a good time, time and place for both.....

I do very much prefer the look of the Indica and Hybrids ...I havn’t really done much research on the strains I’m growing now, I’m curious enough now

What's happening?

What I mean by grown properly is this:
Although we have some serious land races in Africa the local population is famous for growing great sativa strains really really poorly and it's not uncommon to buy a bit and find it's full of seeds and sticks. The males and females all grow together and as a result are heavily pollinated. If you Had to grow those strains with care and expertise they come out tops in my books.

Ah, ok, didn't know that.

but I don't need to tell you that brother as you are a veritable masseuse when it comes to your girls....

Oh, come on mate  I am merely a bad version of Scissorhands :)

Hi There. I agree that most of the locally grown Pondo is terrible. But as you replied again my point is that with guys like @Smeegol growing perhaps it can regain some of it's name back. It is also part of our land race strain history so when people are talking African land race strains Pondo is one of them.
It is also the only one I have hence my sharing it with Smeegol.
I am sure he will grow the best flippin Pondo, he has Smeegol green thumbs.
:Namaste:

Haha you know how to make a guy blush, more like brown stubs that abuse the girls...lol

Good morrning @Smeegol & friends. Hey Smeegol, if you like to collect land races, you gotta try to get your abusive fingers on some Malawi Gold. One of the smokes I'll never forget, zoning out into the top of my steri stumpie

Hey Tabenf
You could use a variety of products, like Smeegol said nitrosol ( so slow) , guanoflo (excellent) seagro to name a few .

Good morning all.
Finally back at home for a while. Clouds slowly giving way to clear sky. Whoop. Just need two more months of boss sunshine and then happy for it to rain until spring Haha.
Ok so pics time: first monster crop lady , bud sites are really starting to get packed. She smells more and more each time I go outside. Citrus, pine and sweet berries with a little candy floss vibes. Yum.

Then a tribe of clones that I'm not expecting much from Maybe a few little nugs and also a super silver haze that sprouted so that might be an interesting sativa to grow out

A good Malawi is like Tysons right hook...haha

Picked up some guanaflo yesterday to use on a reveg girl....

Morning mr.Rugged I love your description of how your monster crop girl is smelling, sounds like it's very refreshing to the senses... On your second girl I also had her looking a bit weird but not really anything wrong though although I was feeding correctly and another grower here at home suggested using the bio ocean organic pellets. I chopped the top off a 2ltr and made a wire handle on top then pokes pencil size holes around the bottom and you fill the bottle half way with pellet and suspend in a bucket or tub of water depending how much you feed the girls...
They loved it and brought back the color in them nicely.....

Cool I'll try it. Will spray her down with some kelpak tomorrow. Want to let her soil dry out for a few days and see if that's the problem even though there is great drainage. Besides from some yellowing old leaves the new stuff and buds are green and happy so not sure I want to worry too much and not sure I want to go heavy on the nitrogen either ayway this stage. She is getting n with each feed though so hopefully that's enough. I'm sure next grow Will be easier, these wild ones are well.... Just that. Wild.

Hey Fonz
Thanks for the kind words. The even canopy one started as an experiment and I'm really glad I kept her. :)
