Landrace Durban Poison Outdoor Grow

Today's update:
Monster Crop: she is progressing well. Two things happen every year.
1: I get in a zone and prune and clean heavily. I was going to leave the popcorn buds on but then just carried on living my life. The first batch are before and the second after.
2: my cat sees me defoliate and starts chewing any leaf she can find. I was too late with a pic but she will do it again until there is too much THC and then she doesn't like it so much. Ok so pics:

The big lady is starting to form some bud sites. Looking to be the small tight buds as opposed to the longer looser ones.. That's just what I'm thinking . Other than that had her last dose of nitrogen yesterday and will begin flowering nutes probably next week. Weather has been rainy and overcast for two days which is a pleasant change from the scorching weather the last few weeks. Anyways hope everyone has a great week.
Peace!

Leave them there and we can compare :)
Good idea. Although I'm sure your plants will outgrow mine with the lame lights I have. I was looking at that monster crop clone and thinking that it might suite your little box as the nodes are tight so branching should stay low provided they are pulled down enough. But then again your nodes are looking short and tight already. Will try remember to include the mother's in my updates for comparison. Have an awesome day.

Nice pruning Lerugged. I like the branches reaching on the big plant. Looks like a good couple of healthy arms and the other has soooo many bud sites. Nice pics as well. Aah the tablecloth.
:welldone:
Thanks so much. Hoping all comes together in a month and a bit. :)

Afternoon mr.Rugged bare legs on the girls are good, keep the airflow going through, had a good look through the pics. The barrel girl is a monster in her own right but I do prefer the compact wide spread trained girl I counted and guesstimate at around 42-46 tops I can see.

I was gifted a landrace cross called " Oom Leonard " long time ago which was handed down to me from an old grower, I must actually find out what the cross is again as might be interesting trying come summer this year I recall said it is a very drought resistant strain....

Hey Smeegol
Yeah they both have different appeal. She is looking like she might yield a decent amount.
That strain sounds Interesting, was it a local strain?
Lots of tops. Whoop.

I not quite sure but local to Africa I think it was, I've messaged the grower so just waiting on reply. Do you do any other land races as i recall a convo between your and @Strainyourbrain mentioning the pondo strain...

Have a great holiday mr.R... :snowboating:

Hey man.
I do sometimes grow out rooibaart or Malawi. I have some pips from Angola and Botswana as well as Tanzania that I grew out about 6 years ago. I might add some variety next season. The DP for meds and Maybe a nice new project. I have not grown the Pondo before but I have smoked it and it's a great sativa.
Finally getting some rain in CT and I'm off to Umhlanga this aft.
Peace.

Hi LeRugged, Enjoy your holiday. I don't mind a short time away from an outdoor grow. Always a nice surprise to see the growth and how the buds have filled out. do you have anyone feeding plants etc. while you away. Umhlanga quite far from home for you.

Anyway enjoy.

Hey Strainyourbrain
Yeah I'm on holiday with my sister from UK and my parents from Johannesburg. Kid and a half and Mrs at home in cape town.
Mrs isn't in a state to carry gallons of water up steep steep steps (carrying my baby) . We have a drought in Cape Town so no hose pipes allowed and preferably each person in the house hold lives on less than 50lt per day.
Back To the question, I've watered and fed in the big pots and Mrs will water three clones with a lt of water downstairs when needed.
Been raining finally in cape town for the whole day today just about. Thank the weed Gods. ;)-
Just had a fatty on the beach in umhlanga, so quiet yet powerful nature is!

Here is the reason my plants are bushy.

If she isn't getting to them I try replicate what she does.
For me it is a game changer( often annoying) but almost always positive....

Ladies and gentlemen
I present to you..

My very own ...

WEED ASSASSIN
Nooblet

Took a few snaps before leaving of the mother's under the lights. Growing quickly and the one has been super cropped twice already. Will tie her down when I get back. First monster crop lady clone and then big lady clone

We had temps in the upper 30s yesterday then we're blessed with rain last night as I thought the girls were going to keel over at one stage, normally do 5lt to a plant and a light spray round midday but yester was 10lt on all so lugged the watering cans and built some muscles...haha

Umlangha is really beautiful away from the hustle and bustle so have dun, new moms are looking great..
