Lady Cannafan's Seedsman Comparative Grow Banana Jealousy ViparSpectra KS5000

STUNNING! Love the lighting and DOF great work.

Oh and the plants look great too!!

There are so many beautiful plant and bud photos uploaded to member galleries.

But...so many of them are named things like "image 1.jpeg" or a series of numbers, or "img_325.jpeg" etc. (yes, I've done it too. But I'm trying to concentrate more on proper naming)
These will not be found in a search engine for a specific item.

If you want more traffic to see your wonderful photos you have to give the search engines some help to find what it is looking for when someone performs a search.

The same rule applies here.

If I want to look for something specific that I remember someone uploaded to the gallery, it will take forever to find it if it is not named correctly. I eventually just give up.
Adding to this. I will probably condense and put the information into one post somewhere for easy access.

Keep in mind that you probably won't see your media show up in a search engine right away. It can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks for them to index new media.

What size grove bags are you using, and where are you getting them?
I'm ordering a dozen small digital hygrometers today.
I got some of mine from the local hydroponics store but, I got some from Amazon. Ya gotta be careful because a lot of the sellers on the zon are selling knockoffs. Amazon.com
Are the ones @JiggiLotus pointed me to.
Make sure they actually say Grove and made in the USA on em or they are fakes.
I had to send some back because of it.

My understanding is the grove bags are good for a year or so, before degradation begins on the flower. Then the bags can be used again.
I'm hoping that's true because I don't want to buy them if they cannot be reused.
Do you reuse them?
I do, but first I put them in Zip-Locks. The RH lowers even slower.

Well I had to steal my Mom's home dehumidifier while she's still in the hospital.
The grow was getting up and above 80% during the night hours when I can't have the fan in the window. I definitely need that down to between 40 and 60%. My temp and humidity monitor will give current and highest/lowest over a 12 or 24 hour period. That is a great tool to have in a grow.
More electric costs for the dehumidifier, but no bud rot. It's a good trade off.

Yeah 80s to much. I played with that a while ago. Now I'm averaging 40-45. I run govee for temp humidity. Pretty accurate, can be adjusted if needed. Gives pretty instant readings, but I like to leave it for hr to 'stabalize'

I now run a few of them throughout the garage, shop, shed, crawlspace, attic.

Connects through Bluetooth.

I have been dumping the dehumidifier twice a day just to keep it at 62.

I was doing 4 dumps, 10 gal a day. Now I've got it set for a 5 gal bucket. Twice a day. Much better
I had to get one with a pump that automatically empties into the drain. I can’t keep up when I’m working.

Good morning all, and thanks.

This is a verrrrry old dehumidifier unit, and it's as heavy as a truckload of Donkey dung.

I do not know yet if the control setting is working to kick it on and off as far as sensing humidity level. I can kick it on manually.
I will know this morning when lights are on and I see how much water is in the reservoir.

The reservoir is not very big, maybe 2 gallons. It does have a place to attach a garden hose, but I'm going to wait on that and see if I can just leave it to drain as is.

I have personally gone back and forth about this also. For my cannabis garden there's always a chance of algae or mold collected in the tank or water. I don't want to introduce that to my cannabis garden. But I do use it for outdoor plants.

It has not affected them negatively at all. If I was out west and we were going to the drought that they had. I would definitely be reusing this water in my cannabis garden. The only big thing that I assume is with this water is going to being nutrient-free. Not a big deal if you add your own nutrients.

I'm going to guess this dehumidifier to be from the 70's. I can't even find manuals or instructions, just photos where they've been auctioned off.
It's exactly like this one, only mine is 15 pint reservoir and doesn't look anywhere near this clean.

I'm going to use the TDS meter on the reservoir water, just because I'm curious about that kind of thing.
I will use it on outdoor plants that are in pots.

Identical to my grandparents, they had it my whole life.
